My personal story: Spiritual pathways 101 Part 3: Chakras

Chakras and Energy Bodies

Chakras

I began to learn about the chakra system. This component of my spirituality brought me significant balance emotionally. Chakras are energy vortices. They are frequently referred to as the rainbow bridge. "Reality is created by sound, light, and color frequencies which create grids." (http://www.crystalinks.com/rainbowbridge.html)

Most people believe that our psychic bodies are something only freaky people with special giftings have access to. This is not so. Consciousness has reached a level that all people have access to psychic development. I have a physical and emotional disorder that has largely been contained using the chakras.

Traditional medicine reports that Bipolar Disorder is a chemical problem. I beg to differ. Energy is the key factor in the disorder. When I began educating myself about the rainbow bridge, I began to find a mental and physical equilibrium.

So the first chakra is the root chakra. It is connected to the color red. It is the security vortex. Family, money, food and survival are issues with this energy center. It is located at the base of the tailbone at the perineum.

The second chakra is the sacral chakra. It is connected to the color orange. It is the creativity vortex. Sex, emotions, and creativity are issues with this energy center. It is located at the point about two inches below the naval.

The third chakra is the solar plexus chakra. It is connected to the color yellow. It is the will vortex. Personal power, individuation, self-esteem and manifestation are issues with this energy center. It is located at the point about two inches above the naval.

The fourth chakra is the heart chakra. It is connected to the color green. It is the spiritual love vortex. Love, connectivity, inner peace and joy are issues with this energy center. It is located at the sternum.

The fifth chakra is the throat chakra. It is connected to the color blue. It is the communication vortex. Communication, self-expression and truth are issues with this energy center. It is located at the throat.

The sixth chakra is the third eye chakra. It is connected to the color indigo. It is the inner vision chakra. Visualization, imagination, intuition, thought and wisdom are issues with this energy center. It is located at the center point between the eyebrows.

The seventh chakra is the crown chakra. It is connected to the color red-violet. It is the spiritual bliss chakra. Oneness, personal connection to God, and the infinite are issues with this energy center. It is located at the crown of the head.

Each person is contrived of several energy bodies. The chakras are a part of that. One can do yoga to build the various chakras. One can also meditate. There are other energy methods as well. My perspective was to analyze my overall system to determine which chakras needed strengthening. I started working at chakra three. I began visualizing yellow as I imagined my will strengthening. I did this a lot. Then I focused on chakra four.

By channeling my strong suit of the heart, I began seeing balance in my overall energy system. This made a major difference with my symptoms for the diagnose of Bipolar Disorder. I stopped going in and out of hospitalizations. I developed resilience. My mind and heart were focused toward well-being. I was getting strong.

This is a holistic phenomena. Body, mind, spirit and soul work together through the chakra system. Many Westerners are afraid of the concept of energy vortices. People want to engage the spiritual through a God that denies such concrete avenues. Total mysticism is the preference for Western religious movements---and, of course, Legalism.

Chakras have little to do with either of these. Yes, spirituality is one aspect of the chakras; but there is more than that. Everything in the universe is energy that is never destroyed but frequently transformed. The chakra system pertains to the macrocosm and the microcosm. It links all fields of life through a science-oriented matrix.

So in other words if we look at the root chakra, we see one's connection to survival. It starts with family and origination. One can quickly see the stability of the energy system when a person can iron out all familial issues and move into an individuated state.

I grew up the runt of the litter in my family. I was the youngest of four children and the only girl. My personal development was riddled by consistent competition with brothers that were older, wiser and physically stronger. My root chakra was stripped early on. It continued to get more and more stripped over my lifetime. Ultimately, I developed Bipolar Disorder. My sense of survival has been difficult.

So, if I review my root chakra, I must recreate my childhood and I must heal the wounds through inner child work. I create ways to strengthen parts of myself that have gotten weak and worn out. This is chakra development. Each chakra is balanced in a similar way. My view about God has expanded because of my knowledge base in energy work. I believe in the Body of Christ. I just believe it is far more detailed than than I ever suspected. I do not believe in ignorance. I believe in self-education. I believe in a spirituality that connects all of life in Oneness. In this century, psychic knowledge is not about fortune telling. Psychic knowledge is about a deepness in who we each are. We are energy, non-destroyable. We are infinite. We are the LOVE of God yesterday, today, forever.

Thanks. FYI we have an ARE Center in Houston also. The only one outside of Virginia Beach.

I ask them if I can work on them...or do a meditation involving the chakras. The chakras speak for themselves. The only people who do not experience anything have had extreme abuse or have extreme religious views that create cognitive dissonance. For those people I do nothing. It is not their path. The people who have had abuse I may just persist with my work until they open up. I am not into proving anything.

Thank you, but maybe you did not understand my question. "what do you say to someone who does not yet accept the theory?" That means what do you say to someone not familiar with the system. How do you prove the conclusion?

Oh, and, Jay, I am very familiar with Edgar Cayce. He is not a guru for me but I do like his body of work. I have several friends who work or worked at the Association for Research and Enlightenment.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Jay, the chakra system is not a theory. It is active whether a person believes or does not believe. I have done energy work with many, many people----some of them diehard, fundamentalist Christians. The people always experience something powerful regarding their chakras: they see the appropriate color when I work with a chakra, they experience memories that are appropriate for a particular chakra, they connect with entities like angels in the 6th and 7th chakras, etc.

The chakra system is a very good theory, but what do you say to someone who does not yet accept the theory?

I noticed you are in Virginia Beach, VA. Perhaps you have heard of Edgar Cayce.

I know about the chakra system; having read about it earlier. However, you have put it in a different light. Enjoyed reading about your perspective.

      Thank you for sharing.
