My sin was placed on a tree ... A tree on Calvary!
Our sin placed on the tree.
I think it is difficult for all of us to come to the understanding that our sin is disposed of and completely covered by His sacrifice on the cross and ultimately God's incredible grace. So you and I are the ones that put Him there by our sin. That is right we put Him there. Our sin has been interceded by Jesus. Nothing that we do can save us. Absolutely nothing. Yet, everything that He did does indeed save us. It should bring each and every one of us to great humility. It should bring each and every one of us to our knees. Moreover, it should lead us to great repentance. Through Him we are saved and only through Him. He alone is the only chance we have and He is the only chance that we need. Your sin has been placed on that tree on Calvary. You are completely covered! Tetelestai! It is finished. It is already done. Your sin is covered by Jesus and only by Jesus. The biggest challenge for us is to realize it and then ultimately manifest it. You have been bought at a great price. God loves you that much. When you come to the realization of the magnitude of God's love you also come to the understanding that He does it for all. He wants none to perish. You having an ill feeling towards any other for really any reason is really completely contradictory to God's love. He loves you enormously, unconditionally and with all of His heart. When you hate on another you are hating on one of God's children. After all, God is all about love. God's love is the ultimate love and hopefully it can take over our daily lives. It can become part of who we are.
He loves you so very much. He loves your brother with that same love. It is agape love. It should make us even love our brother even more. Your sin He will remember no more. He has done it. We are bought and paid for in full. Here are some verses on your sin and His great sacrifice:
1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).
1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
God bless always.
