My strange encounter

Updated on July 20, 2015

This is how it begins.

I felt something crawling into my mouth... I swung my hand hard and fast to catch it, and I caught it on my lip. I grasped it in between my thumb and my index fingers... I squeezed it to kill it, now in the little bit of light in my room I could see I really had something in my fingers... I got up and went into the bathroom for a better look. I looked at it for several seconds, I noticed there wasn't any legs, or a head, or anything to say it was a bug... I then decided to wash it off my fingers. When I did, it dissolved like dust, or oil.... It was oily after I washed it off my fingers... It didn't drop off them like a chunk of carcass, it literally felt like oil... So then I thought maybe there's still some in my mouth I began to look, but my mouth was clean, I spit just encase and just a bit of blood came out.... I was so scared to go back to sleep I sat up on my bed for awhile... Then I decided I wanted to tell my husband, I was worried... I went half way down the stairs in the living room... He was passed out and I didn't want to wake him. I went back up to my room... I was laying down with one ear plug out of my ear, and I heard my baby boy cry so I thought now he's awake and I can finally talk to him. I went down the stairs and I sat down on the couch, I watched my husband feed Lukas, and he never saw me sitting there... He never heard me coming down the stairs... I sat there for awhile just staring at him... I even laid on the couch for awhile trying to sleep... I ended up going back upstairs, and then I tried so hard to go back to sleep... .

This is where it gets strange.

After I fell asleep, I heard my oldest son talking, and then my husband came and kissed me to wake me up. I woke up and told him the first part about the thing I thought was a bug. I get downstairs and I tell him the rest, he says "You were down here?" I said "Yes I sat right here like this" I leaned forward on my knees just like I did last night waiting for him to look at me so we could talk... He said "Strange I didn't hear you or see you" I was shocked because how could he not of? The couch is right in front of where he was sleeping with Lukas... Like right beside his body... My feet almost touched him when I got up off the couch... I couldn't understand it at all... I was thinking to myself maybe it was all a dream, but I remember it vividly... not to mention my drink was drank.... Like I remember drinking... My fingers were still damp from washing my fingers when I came down here to talk to him... The pillow was where I laid it to try and sleep...

So if he didn't see me or hear me how could I of been here? It's impossible he didn't hear or see me, I was right in front of him... And there is light down here... Then I started thinking, what if it was an out of body experience brought on because of that sensation of something crawling in my mouth... But if it were an out of body experience, how could I of touched things, drank things, and moved things? Then I started thinking something stranger... What if I tapped into my penal gland in my brain? What if I activated it some how and I was there but not at the same time? What if I was in and out of two dimensions? But that's just crazy...

So then what is the answer?

I don't know what happened to me... I don't know if it was reality, and some how my husband couldn't see or hear me while I was right there, I don't know if it was a bad dream that frightened me so much that I thought I didn't fall back to sleep but some how did and dreamt I went downstairs to talk to my husband... Or Maybe it was an out of body and in and out of dimensions, I don't know, all I know is it is a very strange encounter and I may never know what happened. I just know that the thing I thought was a bug was strange and scared me enough to make me feel awake. I woke up this morning feeling like I never slept at all... I was sad because I have 1600$ to myself and I really want to go and have a blast with my kids... That's all I want to do today, is have fun with my boys....

If anyone else has had something similar to this experience please share it in the comments, I'm wondering if I'm crazy, but I can't be because everything I said I saw was accurate as far as my husband had said... So I can't be crazy, but some how I was here but not...

I hope you enjoyed my hub.

That sounds the best idea. I'm sure he'll make it clear.

Lawrence, Thank you for commenting I always enjoy hearing from you because you bring a nice conversation with you :) I don't think what happened was evil, I was scared only because I didn't understand what had happened. Later on during that day I started seeing it as a vision too. I think it was either a warning, or some kind of awakening call.

I can't be certain because I still try to decipher what had happened. I hope that I can come to a conclusion or it may drive me mad lol I hope that it happens again only without the fear. I think I have been given an opportunity and I hope I didn't miss it, but I'm going to pray to my God, and ask him if he was trying to tell me something, and I will ask him to make it a clearer message if he chooses to show me again. I suppose that is all I can do for now.

Please remember that what I say here I say as a Christian.

First of all you are not going "crazy!" The Ancient world believed that God woukd speak to them in dreams and visions. The Bible itself is full of them! Warnings, prophetic ones about the future, flying scrolls and all kinds of other stuff that is just WEIRD!

You asked if anyone else has had those experiences and at the risk of being carted off to the "funny farm" ( or reported to HP) yes once but as a Christian I know even if it was evil it has no hold over me!

Probably not what you wanted to hear and I'm not trying to "preach" but its a reality.

My advice is for you and your beloved to pray together ( or get him to pray for you)

      Hope that helps

Thank you at least you were nice about it. I wasn't grasping for any views or anything, I was sharing my experience. I really don't need anyone calling me names like an idiot, that is a personal attack, next time I will report you instead of just deleting your terrible comment. I was trying to figure out what had happened to me, because it was strange. I never had a lucid dream, so how would I be an idiot if I've never had one and tried to make sense of it? If anything it makes me self aware that something had happened and I wanted to find an answer. But thank you again Oztinato you have been helpful. I will look further into lucid dreaming, and the meanings of the oily substance, I was terrified after it, I thought I couldn't sleep I was so scared...

Lucid dreams can explain a lot of phenomena. I can also suggest that lucid dreams are also open to dream interpetation and "oil" would have some positive meanings attached to it. Spiritual annointing of oil for example of the mouth could mean a calling to speak about spiritual matters.
