Our Father.. If My People...
I was hovering between sleep and awake, with the song and verses to, "If My people would humble themselves, pray, seek My face... ..."If My people.."
I love it when Holy Spirit gives us messages to study, and guides us where we need to be. Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name...
Who is "Our Father?"
How/Why should we honor Him?
Who is "My People who are called by My name?"
1 Chronicles 29:10 - . David says, Blessed be Thou, LORD God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours Oh Lord is greatness, and the Power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the Heaven and in the earth in Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from You and You reign over all; and in Your hand is power and might; and in Your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, Our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name...
Our Father God who in the beginning created with the words of His mouth the Earth and universe, the light and dark, the cold and hot, the dry and wet of land and sea. This universe that today scientists are still discovering things we didn't know existed in the heavens that we see, and little bugs that are just being found and identified. With words He created the great and majestic mountains and the most beautiful, powerful oceans, animals of every kind, and then He said, "It is good." Our Father God who said to Jesus, God the Son, and to God the Holy Spirit, "Let us make man in OUR image." The Trinity, the perfect Three in ONE, took the dirt of the ground, shaped and formed the body of man, breathes His own Holy breath into the lump, and gave life to the lifeless. Our Father looked at this man He created, and said, "It is VERY good." Then He gave this man He created dominion over all the things of the earth (not people), to benefit from and to take care of.
This is our Father to whom Heaven is His throne and Earth is His footstool. Man, us, we, me, can NEVER get that big, powerful or glorious. Our Father who is Father to strangers, the lonely, the rejected of the earth, He is Father who made a people who were not His people to be His people. He is a Father who has no respect of persons, whose love is inclusive of ALL the people of the earth. He is the Father who made the shades of the people, who made the tall and short. He is the Father who invites All to come to Him through His ONLY begotten Son Jesus; not another created angel, but His begotten Son Jesus.
Our FATHER, who lives in us, and by His Spirit within us He guides us, walks with us, talks with us. We can feel the touch of His loving presence. He says, "If you seek me, look for me you will find me. If you draw near to me, I will draw near to you (Use the concordance, you will learn a lot). In Acts 17:24 - 28, Paul in explaining who this unknown god was the people were looking to said, "God that made the world and that is in it, seeing that he is Lord of Heaven and Earth, does not live in temples made with hands; Neither is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He gives to all life, and breath, and all things; And has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell/live on the face of the Earth, and had determined the times before appointed, and the boundaries of their habitation; That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel Him, though He be not far from every one of us; For in Him we live and move, and have our being; as certain of your own poets have said, for we are His offspring...." A chosen people, prepared for service, exalted, and called the elect. We are guided by Him, Loved by Him, and He gives us the ability to love others as ourselves.
When a man and a woman marry, they say as part of their vows, "...For better or worse, in sickeness and in health, till death do us part;" As we see by the divorce rate, this may or may not be the case. But God, is with us through it all. He NEVER LEAVES US! Even after this bodily flesh dies, we are with Him FOREVER in Heaven. Jesus says, "Where I am there you will be also." Jesus said He wanted us to know the love of the Father that He knew, He wanted us to know the oneness that Father and son shared, and through God's Holy spirit living within us FOREVER share the honor of being called the children of God.
Blessed be the mighty name of our Father God. Amen (So Be It)!
