Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord

Updated on July 6, 2017

The heart.

The heart is absolutely, positively, unequivocally and undeniably everything. It really is. It truly is. It is the most important thing to God. The very most important thing. Nothing else even comes close. It guides us through so much in life. It is what matters the most to God. It is indeed where we get the closest to Him. Without the heart we are so very far from God. He gives us the innate ability to indeed use our hearts. Using them in everyday situations and circumstances. Let my heart be open to You always Lord. He always uses His heart. The Bible says that wherein lies your treasure that your heart will be there also. If you contemplate that it is obviously true. It is definitely true. Ultimately we feel all things with our heart. We do things with our heart. All things and everything. It comes down to what is the most important thing to you? Well, what is it? What is valuable to you? What is it that matters to you the most? What is important to you? Why is it important to you? Is it a person, a place or a thing, something material or tangible or is it God almighty? God knows our heart. He made us. He knows everything about us. I mean everything. He knows our every desire. He knows our every want. He knows our every need. He knows our every intention. Wherein lies our heart? That is the biggest question of all for each and every one of us. The prayer should always be "Open the eyes of my heart Lord". Let me see as You see. Please keep my eyes open to Your ways. Then and only then can we really use that heart that God gave us. It is another one of his amazing gifts bestowed upon us. Please make me the very best person that I can become. Make me one of Your vessels. Make me an instrument of Your peace. Make me see things as You and only You see them. Use me for Your purpose and for Your goodness. Then and only then will I be truly blessed. Sometimes it will be when there is great turbulence, a storm or great trouble or tribulation in our lives. Do you turn to Him in those times? It takes incredible faith to indeed do so. Not just words but the actions that accompany and follow that strong faith. If I can just be a little bit like Him I will be abundantly blessed and I will be a blessing to others as well. I truly will. It will happen that way because that is God's way. It may not be such an easy thing but that is how He wants us.

That should ultimately be our goal. To in fact bless others around you. I truly believe that we can bless others simply by the actions and examples of using our hearts. What better example could there ever be? There is nothing better than that. Absolutely nothing. You can be a wonderful role model without even trying to be one. Pretty amazing when you think about it. The heart can achieve things that the mind can only think about achieving. So when it comes right down to it the heart will be the part of a person that matters the most. It will ultimately display our true character and it will reveal that character. It will display our courage sometimes even under the most difficult of circumstances. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Let God work in that heart. Using our hearts first in every situation will always be the correct path for us to indeed take. When my eyes are open I only become even more and more humble by this wonderful gift He has bestowed on all of us. It is agape love like no other. So open those eyes and you will be amazed that your belief makes you see not the other way around. God's love is the greatest of all. Nothing compares to His love. What would Jesus do? Maybe a better question would be what would Jesus have me do? What would He have you do. So let us open those eyes of our heart to all and in all situations and all circumstances. It will make all of the difference in your life and in those whose lives you can effect. Use your heart all of the time for all time. We need to use our hearts each and every day. That is what we should aspire to. That should be how we spend our time. That should be our ultimate goal. Here are some verses on the heart:

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all of your heart.

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine.

Proverbs 27:19 As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man.

God bless always.

Thank you Lawrence each time I have to continue to use that heart that God gave me and also apply His patience. Be blessed.

Norine, I cannot express in mere words what God has done for me. Only God can take something bad and make it so very good. He is amazing.

Be blessed and thank you for those wonderful verses.

And I thank the LORD and give HIM all the PRAISE for HE has given me the desires of my heart!

I continue to pray for "a pure heart" and to remain "humble" under HIS Leadership!

Guys, please "STUDY" (II Timothy 2:15) for when the Holy Spirit entered Paul (Acts 9:15-17), he begin "operating in Christ's stead" (II Corinthians 5:20) and the Holy Spirit told Paul to tell us in Galatians 1:6-9 "IF any man preach any other gospel than the gospel of Christ (aka GRACE), they are "ACCURSED!" Therefore, "STUDY" (II Timothy 2:15) to become familiar with "The Gospel of Christ" in order to "obey" and be "saved!"

      Blessings

Thank you Norine. You are an inspiration. God is so good to us and most of the world cannot even see it. All we can do is pray for them and hope they realize the same God that made them made us also.

      Blessings to you always.

Yes, this should be ALL'S prayer! Amen!

The ONLY way one's "eyes of the heart is opened," is via the HOLY SPIRIT for HE is the One who "leads and guides" us "into ALL TRUTH" (John 14:26)! If one "think" they can do ANYTHING (Spiritual) without HIM; they're fooling themselves!

My continuous prayer is as David's "Create in me a "clean" heart" (Psalm 51:10)! You know, there's one thing about GOD: One can't LIE to the HOLY SPIRIT (aka GOD;Acts 5:3) and IF one tries or have other "ulterior motives," they may "think" they're "IN CHRIST" and serve the TRUE and living GOD, but are NOT!

That's what I love about HIM, HE recognizes TRUTH!

      Blessings
