Our ways are NOT His ways ..... He is The Lord.

Updated on July 11, 2018

His holy ways versus our human ways.

There is nothing holy about being human. Absolutely nothing. We are all sinners and we are as imperfect as can be. We are born into sin. We are caught up in all of our sin. Unfortunately for us it is the most natural thing in the world. It is being human. We can only try and aspire to be a little bit like Him and emulate Jesus when we can. We simply are sinners. There are sins of commission, things that we do and then there are sins of omission, things that we should do but fail to do. Like passing that bum on the street. What if he was Jesus? Our ways are not His ways. His ways are perfect and holy and our ways are not even close. They are completely human. Some way though God loves us anyway even knowing our sinful ways. His love is truly beyond measure and beyond compare. He should give us judgment but instead He gives us mercy. Contemplate that He loves us so much that Jesus goes to the cross for us and is taking our place. It should have been us up there but instead He intercedes for us and covers our sin. It really is amazing grace. It is indeed agape love.

Even Pilate said he could find no fault in Jesus and washes his hands and says his blood will not be on me. It is where we get the expression, " I wash my hands of the whole thing." God loves us even with our multiple shortcomings and boy are they multiple. Sometimes I think if sin were a basketball game I would be the highest scorer. I would be Lebron James. I am a filthy sinner and you are also and God knows it and God loves us immensely anyway. I do not know why He does I only know that He does. I refer to Isaiah 55 below where God states we really are not like Him. All we can really do is try as all of us will fall so mightily short. It is so very humbling. Still, we have in Jesus the ultimate role model and teacher and someone to at least try to model ourselves after. There is only one Jesus and He is God incarnate. Remember John 3:16 For God so loved the world. In essence all we can do as humans is try to give it our best once again knowing we will all fall so short. His love is so tremendous and it knows no bounds. He was, He is and He will always be the savior of the world. He took our place and through Him we are saved. The grace of God is such an incredible gift. We can never earn it and we certainly do not deserve it. Yet He gives it to us anyway. That is the love of God. It is miraculous and He is completely marvelous. We have to try and get as close to God as we can. Sometimes deep meaningful prayer can be one way to indeed do just that. Prayer can be the ultimate blessing. Be specific when you pray and always remember He is your ultimate Father. What an incredible blessing. Examine these Bible verses and thanks be to our loving God and our living God:

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says The Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

1st John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, For love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

God bless always.
