Perception of God Based on Ego Will Lead You Away From God
Perception of God based on Ego Will Lead You Away From God
How do you perceive God? Do you perceive God as the church on the outside of you that is made of wood or brick? Do you perceive God as your preacher that you have come to idolize because he speaks great words? “In 1 Corinthians 3:16 of the bible it says that you are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you.” It goes on to further say that any man that destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him because the temple of god is holy, and that is what you are”. When we perceive God on the outside of ourselves as a material form we are committing idolatry. People have become so indoctrinated into the world of materialism (world of Caesar) that they unknowingly are worshipping the things of Caesar. 2 Corinthians 6:16 says what agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? It goes on to say for we are the temple of the living God, as God has said: “I will live with them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Individuals that perceive things with the mind of ego does not perceive with the eyes of the spirit. When learning and listening to Holy Scriptures an individual must use discernment in his or her thinking process. An individual that thinks in the mind of ego is constantly looking for something that is physical. So much so that they being so indoctrinated into their belief system it has become a tradition. If you were to try to change that reality of their belief system, they will not let go. You see, because letting go would be like falling into nothingness. They always need something solid, something with substance, something physical. That is what real is to them. This is all they know. There is so much fear in letting go of something that is physical, that they do not want to look at the invisible. Then in that moment, it is you that will become the enemy for pointing it out to them. You will become a threat to the establishment of what they have known for so long. In Colossians 1:15 the bible says that Christ is the image of the invisible God.
What kind of minds are being built up in today’s churches?
When discernment is not taught in the churches what kind of minds are being built up? When a preacher is preaching from scripture, how are the words being perceived? Answering this question will help you determine what kind of minds you may have in your church. When discernment is not taught, you could be cultivating a breeding field of irrational thought patterns. An individual that thinks from an ego point of view is still in the stage of the lower mind. This individual’s mind may delve into things that it has no business, their mind may be concerned with what someone has on today, competition in church fashion against others, or the latest church gossip. The bible teaches that it is not only optional to teach discernment but it is required. Whereas because if discernment is not taught then you could be raising up minds of an idolatrous nature. You would unknowingly lead them to worshipping a false God as they are looking for something physical. They perceive in the concept of “, things”, “something’s”. It promotes to behavior of being concerned with having a lot of “things”, and constantly saying, “I’m blessed”. Because they have “things”. When church goers perceive scriptures in the physical when their minds are ego based, then that is how they perceive their God. The energy of worship goes into the opposite direction, in so doing it is an occult practice. They are worshipping Satan but do not know it. (It depends on the individual, it could be an individual that goes to the same church and does not think in that manner.) Preachers or Priests that do not teach discernment are putting their churches under the wrath of God.
