Persevering in the midths of pain

Updated on November 26, 2016

Getting on a new path

There are moments in life that we tend to make a decision which we thought wouldn't really change anything, but ends up turning our world upside down. For example, a job opportunity you take that you thought was a great decision at the time. You expected so much to change in your life by just this one choice; this ends up being a mistake after it all unravels.

This has happened to me. I had such high hopes for a new job opportunity that I didn't stop and think of the things that could go wrong. In the end, it was a lesson I had to learn in this wonderful thing we call life. I look back and think it all started because of a bad decision in a moment of weakness. The Bible says that we were born to give God glory. The key to making good choices is to stop and ask ourselves, "does this bring glory to God?"

This is the only way we can avoid any grief or strife and truly walk in the right path that will bring us joy, love, and happiness. Of course, in the midths of a bad choice we can experience the gifts of the Spirit but in our walk with the Lord, it is best to stop and think before we act on an impulse.

Enduring the bad

When we face the effects of a wrong choice we made, it is important to keep in mind that we all make mistakes. No one is perfect and not beating ourselves up is the first thing that will help us get out of the hole we dug ourselves.

It may be your fault but just always keep in mind that feeling sorry for yourself doesn't help either. The Bible says that we have to keep the good in any situation and throw out the bad. Think about what was good about the mistake. What lesson can you take with you to keep you from doing it again? Enduring the effects is something that you can't avoid but keeping a good attitude is within your control.

Becoming a better version of yourself

After all is said and done the main thing to keep in mind is that this life is so short and the best outlook of life is to keep in mind that every struggle we have in life is to become a new person after it is over.

I truly believe this life is so short and the best way to live happy is to keep in mind that life itself is a gift. We are all born with traits that were giving to us for a reason. It is your job to find out what gifts you possess and use them. Use them to help your family, community, state, country, and the world. No life is insignificant. We all have a purpose and a reason why we still exist and still breath.

The next time you think your life is over, just remember that it is not. We have such an amazing creator that made you and loves you.

Keep walking

After all is said and done, we have to keep walking, keep searching, keep living, and keep our goals and dreams alive.

I believe with all that is within me that we all have dreams and are meant to fulfil them. God is so present and uses us for his glory. If he put a dream in your heart, chase it and make it a reality. There are tools available to help you reach them. Don't give up because of your circumstances.

Education

"We have too few college graduates,” says David Autor, an M.I.T. economist, who was not involved in the Economic Policy Institute’s analysis. “We also have too few people who are prepared for college.”

It’s important to emphasize these shortfalls because public discussion today — for which we in the news media deserve some responsibility — often focuses on the undeniable fact that a bachelor’s degree does not guarantee success. But of course it doesn’t. Nothing guarantees success, especially after 15 years of disappointing economic growth and rising inequality.

It is an interesting article about college degrees. If you think that getting an education will get you to your goals faster then take that risk. The important thing is to keep in mind that we live in a competitive world and college doesn't mean anything if you don't take in the education. Strive to make good grades and go to class. Don't waste your time and money in something you are not willing to do. If you go, then flourish and learn.

Faith

I truly believe that what has helping me in my lowest moments was the faith in God I have. I have such an unshakable faith that I have been able to reach goals and dreams of mine. I recently publish my first book of poetry. I love writing and just made it a goal of mine to publish a book.

When I finally held the copy of my book, I felt so humbled and thankful. It was such an incredible feeling to know and see God's work in me help others. I just feel so blessed to be able to share my words with the world. The link below is a way for you to purchase it. Hope you find healing in the words that gave me so much hope. I still read my own words to remind me of the great picture. Thank you for reading and may God bless your life with all his precious gifts.
