Personal Spiritual Safety. As we grow we need the security that our world is safe. Adults need to make it safe.

First change the world for the Child,,,, Then let the Child change the world.

To understand nature you must be raised in it.
To understand nature you must be raised in it.

Unlock the restrictions. Feel free to change the world for a child.

Child proofing, try adult proofing. Are we still bound by the locks of our youth?

What folly. How ignoble. Yes I have the requisite little safety catches, plugs and gates. Yes I have thought long and hard of what may be dangerous – and changed a few heights of things. But what a silly thought. To change a world for a child. This is my first thought. BUT oh how WRONG.

I and you are children of God. Jesus is the Child from God. What a remarkable thing God has done for us. He sent his only child to change the world for his children. But he did not do that with locks and chains. Jesus taught and lived and suffered and was crucified for us. Not to bring us rules and restrictions, but to bring us Keys and Choice and Love and freedom.

Oh we all know that children will eventually open that which we closed. They will learn to pick a lock. So being lazy and securing that which lays behind the door, drawer or gate is a fools game. But it is prudent to secure and make safe during the learning process. But the only true gift we give children is teaching and that teaching must begin with teaching how to learn.

So God gives us some rules to live by as we grow but the ultimate design is that we learn to learn his will. And those doors and gates lead only one place – we already possess it – it is the love in our hearts that we lock away. You are old and wise, unlock the security measures you needed as a child and let your heart and love be free and live in abundance.

Boundaries are in our head.

I do not suggest we break personal boundaries of an individual. But I say that we should break them for ourselves. How does a young man become no longer afraid of the dark? How did you?

My livein 20 something nephew is afraid of the dark. My 2.5 year old is not.

Very inspiring. Teaching kids what counts at a young age, is a brilliant foundation for their lives.
