In Planets in Libra Part 1, Ascendant and Mercury, I talked about Ascendant/Rising and Mercury in the sign of Libra. In this hub, Planets in Libra Part 2: Mars, Venus and Moon, I will be talking about mars, Venus, and moon in Libra. Again this does not specifically refer to the sun sign in Libra (some similarities may apply however). If you do not know your Mars, Venus, or Moon sign, you can run a natal chart (for free, type natal chart in Google and plug in your birth data.). To read more about Libra the sun sign, check out my hub by clicking here

Mars in Libra

Your Mars is in Libra, in the planet of action, sexuality/sexual expression, and energy. Mars in Libra is not so strong position for Mars to be in (remember Mars is exalted in Capricorn); Mars in Libra is in detriment.

Typically Earth and Fire mars signs are generally ideal positions for mars to be in. Also remember that Mars rules Aries, which is Libra’s opposite sign. Detriment represents a planet and zodiac signs most difficult and challenging position. Detriment doesn’t fit the ideals of a planet that it’s supposed to represent at all.

Mars is in detriment in sign of Libra. Mars in Libra is not all that bad, but it is highly uncomfortable in Mars and a lot of that aggressive mars energy is drawn inward. Inward enough to be a confused mess.

Libra is an air sign, intellectual, rational, and a bit cold. Libra is not known for being aggressive or using aggressive tactics. Everything is in the mind, including their actions. Libra is known to compromise, reason, and be a bit indecisive. They are refined and poised. They hate conflict and oftentimes behave in sneaky and passive-aggressive ways (like water Mars signs) when pissed off. Mars here therefore is expressed in this matter, cerebral and filled with a lot of mental activity and a lot less physical activity.

Even so, this Mars sign isn’t so hopeless and is oftentimes driven to intellectual and Venusian artistic pursuits, and team activities. Performing as an entertainer (actor, musician, performance artist, etc.). Fashion, interior design, writing are activities a Libra Mars person will be interested in.

Mars also governs sexuality and sexual expression. Mars in Libra is the sensual, charmer zodiac. They love romance and beauty in the most intellectual sense. They aren’t that driven on the actual physical act of sex so much the mental stimulation of it. That being the case they tend to have a wandering eye when their mental needs are not being met. They can get sex from anywhere and anyone, but imagine if they can have sex and mental stimulation.

That is the “I can have my cake and eat it too” scenario. In terms of the physical Mars in Libra is surprising subtle and are not interested in anything that is too extreme, vulgar, and tasteless. Soft, sweet, fair, beautiful, and smart sex.

Venus in Libra

Venus in Libra

Venus is all about love and how we act in relationships. Venus in Libra is an interesting position for Venus to be in. It’s not the best per se, remember Pisces (Virgo’s opposite sign) is exalted in Venus. By the way water and earth Venus signs are ideal elements for Venus to be in. Venus in Libra is interesting because it’s the sign of partnerships (among all things). It rules the 7th house of relationships and Libra is a very relationship oriented sign. Their love isn’t spiritual, emotional, or passionate, but it is fair, kind, and quite nice. Venus in Libra person is someone you can talk to and have wonderful conversations with. They won’t intentionally cause drama and conflict in a relationship because they much prefer harmony and civility in their unions. Venus in Libra is quite the romantic and is very charming (along with cultured, attractive and smart).

Even so, the Venus in Libra person will intellectually idealize love, believing love is the highest form of beauty, which Libra placements ultimately always aspires to. They will strive and look for the “ideal” partner, which is impossible to find. They may be motivated about finding their ideal partner (and friends) in the most vain and superficial ways (such as looks/ aesthetics, material possessions, or social status). They do this because they think the “ideal” partner must have these things otherwise they are not ideal or the best. This creates unrealistic expectations because relationships, like life is not based on the ideal but of convenience and opportunity.

Also since the Venus in Libra person hates conflict and avoids unpleasantness at all costs they are likely to stay in bad relationships. They may also stay in bad relationships based on the illusion of flawlessness and the “idealness” in a clearly flawed partner. This is because they don’t want to admit their failure of picking the ideal.

This leads to Venus in Libra being indecisiveness and not being sure how to act (due to their values for balance and fairness and their need to avoid conflict).

Overall Venus in Libra always chooses harmony, balance, fairness and beauty in their partners and relations so that choice will always be there for them. They just have to take it.

Moon in Libra

Moon in Libra

Your Moon is Libra, which means you are ruled by Venus. The moon governs emotions and is at home (dignified) in Cancer and exalted in Taurus. Here the moon in Libra is nice and fair. Its not the best position, but its nowhere near the worst for the moon. Here moon wants comfort, pleasure, and happiness. The moon doesn’t want conflict and avoids it at all costs. Good company and conversation, good food and beautiful surroundings.

The moon in Libra natives values high culture (art, cinema, food, etc.), peace, fairness, and intellectual pursuits. As the sign of partnerships they also want to be surrounded by good company (and ideally a partner).

The only real problems are their indecisiveness, their avoidance of conflicts (to the point where they don’t want to admit to themselves that they have problems) and detached emotional natures (air signs are not the warmest emotionally). Even so, one must take the good with the bad, and their Libra scales oftentimes balances the unrest.

I feel it affects me in my relationships especially. Its as if I came here on a mission and relationships are not as important, although emotionally I feel some what withdrawn without one. As always this Libra needs to find the balance in that area.

I'm still finding that out. Currently I'm fascinated with crystals and healing. I've always noticed though that people naturally open up to me and tell me their darkest secrets. I don't say anything most times and then they tell me how wonderful it was just to talk to me as if I had given them some great advice and I haven't said a word. Interesting huh?

Could you tell me what it means to have all those planets in Libra?

That is interesting, the world does need healers and people that have the ability to allow others to be comfortable and open up easily. :) I think it is smart you are working with a natural gift that you have and is trying to develop it. I am curious do you have any Neptune/Pisces aspects? Or Neptune in the water houses (4, 8, 12th houses) in astrology?

I am not an astrologer first and foremost. Even so, you have a stellium (3 or more planets in one sign) A stellium in Libra, two planets of this stellium (Pluto and Saturn) are less personal and more interpersonal, trans-generational planets. That effects a generation of people, not necessarily just you. Even so, I would say judging from this stellium you are fair and balanced, and relationships are important to you, maybe a little fear of relationships too!! (Saturn symbolizes boundaries and fear). P.S. I got hubs on Pluto and Saturn if you want to check them out. BTW

I am not that familiar with Lilith ( I do know she was Adam's first wife, before Eve). Lilith in astrology is asteroid, and I think its all about vengeance and stuff like that.

Neptune in Sagittarius is very spiritual, optimistic and is comfortable with Neptune. Interested in justice, traveling, stuff like that. I got a Neptune hub too!!! :)
