Prayer Means War?!

Updated on December 6, 2018

Pray and move

Yes, prayer means war! It’s a simple answer. When we ask God for our needs, we don’t realise that. Throwback to my journey. When I had everything I needed and everything around me was very calm. I asked the Lord to give me a victorious life. A life full of passion for Him. To build the Kingdom and all the other powerful, great prayers a young believer could ask God.

Now if you see my first request I asked God: “…give me a victorious life!”, what in the World am I asking for? All the circumstances around me were peaceful, I had a job, I had an income and I was living a normal life. Basically what I was asking for was: “prepare me for a war!” or “I want to step into a battlefield!”. Am I wrong? Well, then explain to me, how can I have victory without a war? When everything around is well and joyful, we sometimes don’t realise what we are actually asking the Lord for.

We praise Him with our tongues, and say things without knowing what we are asking for. It is good to grow and it is important that we move on in life. However, it is important to know that when you pray, there is a war happening in the spirit realm. Let me break this down a little more. If you don’t do anything, nothing is going to happen. For example, in your room you have a drawer. When you first got it you put it near your bed. After few months you realized that every morning you hit your elbow on the drawer and it was not really a good place to have a drawer. In your mind you think – oh it would be good to have it near the window so you also could put a plant or something decorative on it. Well, prayer warriors, you can pray as hard as you want but you need to make the effort to move the table. Oh yes, the scriptures says if we have faith as big as the mustard seed, we can move the mountains. So little faith is enough to move a drawer.

But God has given us the strength. Now if we don’t use the ability He has already given us to do and manage some stuff in our lives, why are we asking for more trouble? It is our responsibility to move the drawer. In the same way, if we ask for a victorious life, we are asking for trouble. Now when we face the turbulence, it’s important that we guard our hearts and trust in the Lord. In other words: New Levels, new devils! Every time you are about to go higher, something will give you pressure.

Before David became King, He was running away from Saul. Before you get the degree you have an exam to pass. Before you become the CEO of a Company you must prove your flexibility and your endurance in anything you do. I always asked God for new revelations in theology on new levels to blow everyones mind away. Well what’s the point of all the high theology if I am not able to be respond to my own ability that God has already given me? I’m not saying to stop prayer, no no no! Pray, fight and live a victorious life! If something is burning in your heart, pursue it and once you have to face it, stay strong and trust in God. He will do the rest once you have started your part! Thank you for reading this Blog!

Be blessed
