Prepare To Pass Over

Updated on August 2, 2014

This Jordan, This Year.

Begin to count your blessings from this month, till the year ends, this Jordan [problem] in your life must be crossed, this Jordan must be passed, this Jordan must be reduced to nothing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

The deliverance of the children of Isreal from the worst of the plagues of Egypt[ the killing of the first born[males] and the annual festival kept to remember the night when all Isrealites without exemption, witnessed the angel of death swiftly executing the command of the Lord.is popularly known as The pass OverGod through His servant Moses had told the Israelites to prepare a special meal to be eaten in haste the evening before their escape from the land of their task master [Egypt] [ Exodus 1-15] with a whole roasted lamb . The blood from the lamb was to be used to mark their houses. That night, God sent the angel of Death to kill the firstborn males of the Egyptians (this was the worst of the plagues of Egypt), the blood was on the doors of the Israelites' houses, this was to enable the angel passover their houses without causing any damage.

That was the first major passover of hurdles, stumbling blocks, death traps and hardship, and slavery from the hand of a brutal task master.

Shortly after this, the Isrealites had to miraculously passover or cross over the red sea, which wanted to redicle God's efforts and ability to deliver His people. “ But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.” Exodus 13;18. He [God cast Pharaoh's chariots and his hosts into the Red sea, his chosen captains were also drowned in the Red sea. Exodus [15;4., 15;1-20]

As if that was not enough to convince the doubting Thomsses, the murmuring percentage in the camp,He

Preseved them from thirst Exodus 15,20-27...Genesis 25;18, Duet 7;12-15.

Preseved them from Hunger—Exodus 16;9-21—Psalm 78;27, Numbers 11;10, 16;19,I kings 8;10-12, Ezekiel 10;15

Preserved them from thirst again---Exodus 17;1-7-- Ezekiel 2;6, 3;16, Numbers 20;8-10, Duet 8;15

Preserved them from defeat Exodus 17; 8-16. Genesis 36;12, 22;14 . Duet 25;17 I SAM 15;1-7,

Preserved from Chaos—Exodus 18;13-27..Duet 1;12-17,Ps 116;2&8 Leviticus 24;12

The above line- up of problems followed the historic passover at the time it seemed the problem of Pharoah was over. The hostile nations to be conquered, the hostile kings to be brought down, Jericho and Jordan and a host of other problems were still waiting to be encountered. In all God was faithful, thry passed over all the obsatcles on the way to the promised land.

The Command of A Faithful Father—Joshua 1;2-3., Duet 1;6.,Exodus 24;13, Deut 11;24, Ephesians 6;10,

"Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them--to the Israelites. [Joshua 1;2]

Shortly after the demise of Moses, Joshua was called by God to lead His people Isreal. Jordan was the next target and the people needed another firebrand leader like Moses. Having watered the feet of Moses over the years,Joshua merited the much sought replacement and God empowered Him to do so.

The children of Isreal were probably facing stagnation and He reminded them of the danger thereof..

God gave him specific guidelines on which area and lands he was to annex “From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the Eu-phates,all the lands of the Hittites and unto the great sea towars the going down of the sun shall be your coast” Joshua 1;4.

The Promise of A Faithful Father—Joshua1;3-7, Duet 11 ;24,,Ephesians 6;10 Isaiah 41;10-16.

Every place that the sole of your shall tread upon,, that have I given unto you as I said to Moses God almighty the leader of His people promised them expansion from the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the the great river.. the river Eupharates. In tthe package also were the land of the Hitites and unto the great sea towards the going down to the sun.

God knew how important the issue of security was, when he said “there shall not nay man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life . As I was with Moses,so I will be with thee, I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Joshua 1;5.

The Lord needed Joshua and his people to be strong and of good courage, because his adversaries have all beeen handed over to them “unto this people shall thou divide for an inheritance the land which I sware unto their fathers to give them” Joshua 1;6.

With much emphasis on courage in the battle, God repeatedly warned..” Only be thou strogn and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee, turn not from it to the right or to the left that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest “.Vs7.

Are there no issues or conditions in today's life engagements where the promises of the faithful father hidden in His book, the bible are seen to reignite the faith in you and èush you out toeing the Lord's line till victory is won ?. Which situation and ior condition or problem is able to stand before you as a child of God?. If none could stand before Joshua, not can equally stand before you as you swallow hook-line and sinker, these promises.

The Warnings of A Faithful Father—Joshua..1;6-9,Ephesians 6;10,Deut 31;26 Isaiah 34 ;16, Philipians 4;3, Rev 3;5, 12;8, 22;19, Ezra 4;15, Exodus 17;14.

Courage to arise and fight the enemy in any siutation impresses the Lord,, therefore He repeatedly warned His people that the only thing that will draw down much of His attention and fire upon the enemy was courage and the unwavering faith in Him. Obedience to His words plays a very significant role here. “Only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee” Vs 7

God also warned His people[us] about the danger of forgetting His book. This book,of the law, the bible He siad shall never departt from our hands, but thou[we] shall meditate day and nighty that thou[we] mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein

The resultatant effect is that we shall surely make our ways not only prosperous but very prosperous and then thou[we,I .You] shall have good success.

Crossing over the Jordan of life needed preparations, prayers, fasting, total examination of self. And the determination to be arise and pursue in oder to overtake and recover all.

The actual River Jordan in today's nation called Jordan still mantains it's prestige as the nation that hosts the holy sea where hundreds and thousands of Christians rush for baptism and other religious rites, that is just on one hand, on the other hand.

This Jordan” today, represents trouble as” going back to Egypt” represents backsliding from your Christian faith or having already backslidden. Any problem or rather stoburn problems confronting you , represents your “ Jordan

God does not want us to dwell so long in that situation, He wants His children to courageously stand on their feet and confront the Jordan[enemy] before them ,Duet 1;6.

Today if you can believe that you are the Joshua of today, that according to the word of God, there shall not be any nation/man[problem] able to stand before thee, not just for a limited time, but all the days of your life, If you believe this, then begin therefore to see the miraculous parting of the Jordan and Red sea of your life through the word of God. God is telling you today, if you will obey His word take a step pf faith, arise and cross over this Jordan in your life, do not dwell too long with that problem, as He was with Moses , Joshua, Daniel, David, Paul and Silas, the three Hebrew children, the nation Isreal and a hiost of othersd, so will He me with me, you and us all in the mighty name of Jesus

PRAYERS.
