Put your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee

Updated on June 13, 2017

Trusting Him.

There is but one person in this world that you can trust with your life and that person is Jesus Christ. Not a single other thing or person can save us only Jesus does that. So run away from this world and run to Jesus. Put your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee and you will be so happy that you did so. For He Saves us from our sin and He Saves us from ourselves. There is nothing better than that. Not a single thing. As Ephesians 1:3 says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

I was not sure that I would ever write about this but for some reason it seems appropriate to share this at this particular time. About a little over two years ago I was diagnosed with MS, multiple sclerosis. I can tell you at the time I never thought in a million years in any way, shape or form that it would be a blessing but it has been. I have learned that God's way is not our way and not even a little bit. Only God can take something bad and actually make it good. I mean who does that ... God does that and only God does that. So He has once again taught me so very much.

One day I was at Walgreen's getting a prescription filled. I was waiting on a bench at the pharmacy. An older man came up to the bench and he was a real mess. He pushed a walker and had a scab that stretched from the back of his neck to his forehead. Yet, he was grinning from ear to ear. I thought to myself what could he possibly be grinning about? We started to converse and he talked about the goodness of God. He stated, "You are a bible thumper like me." I said, "Yes, I am. " As we blessed each other with fond wishes I still found myself somewhat dumbfounded at how grateful this poor soul was. I walked to the car and got in and began to sob and cry uncontrollably. Once again God had showed me just how blessed and fortunate that I am. I continued praying steadfastly. I prayed that in some way and some how I could help another. God has answered that prayer many times over and it is quite amazing.

God is our true physician. One of my doctors after reviewing my MRI stated, " You should not even be upright." I guess someone forgot to tell Dr. Jesus. I have not missed a single day from my job in 11 and a half years. Not even one day. The MRI showed a brain full of plaque and a lesion the size of a quarter sitting directly on the medulla. I have had bad days but when I do I hold on to the coat tails of Jesus. Sometimes I experience severe dizziness, headache and backache. MS represents itself as a disconnect between your brain and your body. At times my hands do not even work. God wants me to put this in perspective. His perspective not my perspective. How could this condition make me even closer to God. I really have no idea or explanation but it has brought me closer to him. It has made me even more humble and even more compassion. Again just an incredible blessing. In the spring of 2015 a gentleman at my church named Gordon started a senior mission taking the gospel to nursing homes on Saturdays and Sundays. It has been an incredible blessing. I have grown to be very fond of Gordon and his wife BJ. They have become our brother and sister in Christ. We love them very much. I cannot even explain it but it feels like we have known them forever. They have been and continue to be a great inspiration. It is what fellowship is indeed supposed to be all about.

Around the same time I started this Hub/ blog dedicated to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It has given me incredible comfort and peace to write about Him and what He has done for each and every one of us. It does not get any more personal than having Him as our savior. Jesus saves and boy does He save. His love is entirely immense. It is overwhelming to know and feel His love especially for a wretch like me.

I can honestly say that God makes an affliction a blessing. I think about how that must sound. Probably kind of crazy yet it is so very true. Sometimes going through the storm is overcoming the storm. God teaches us great patience, understanding and endurance. It actually becomes a blessing when you have tribulation. I would not have this light affliction if I could not handle it and God could not trust me with it. I am able to love Him and praise His name which as His servant is exactly what we are supposed to do. I had read God gives His toughest battles to His toughest soldiers.

In Psalm 119 David writes that it is good that I have been afflicted so that I may learn your decrees. Here again one gets actually closer to God by going through some type of tribulation.

So maybe it comes down to how do you face adversity? Can you face it with courage and endurance? Will you indeed let God build your character. He went to the cross for you. You and I should not have even one single hesitation about worshipping Him. Again, He loves you even to the point of the cross. It needs to humble us greatly. Humility is the where and the when for us getting closer and closer to God Almighty.

I think the very biggest understatement that I can make is to say wow, God is good. No, God is great. Really great. He is downright awesome and He has been with me for every single step of the way. It is clear to me that Jesus loves me and I can say that I love Him with all of my heart and all that I am. There is no better feeling in the world than to know how much God loves us. Jesus cries from the cross, " Tetelestai" meaning it is finished. He has done it and we are bought and paid for. He loves us that much. It is just plain incredible.

So, all of us need to do it. We need to put our hand in the hand of the man from Galilee. It will be the greatest and best decision you could ever make for your life. He is there for you and He will always be there for you. He loves you. There is nothing better.

These are the lyrics from the song " Put your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee" :

Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters
Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself and you can look at the others differently
By puttin' your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee

Every time I look into the Holy Book I wanna tremble
When I read about the part where a carpenter cleared the temple
For the buyers and the sellers were no different fellers than what I confess to be
And it causes me shame to know I'm not the gal that I should be
Put your hand in the hand...

Mama taught me how to pray before I reached the age of seven
And when I'm down on my knees that's when I'm closest to heaven
Daddy lived his life for eight kids and a wife you do what you must do
But he showed me enough of what it takes to get you through
Put your hand in the hand...
Put your hand in the hand...
Put your hand in the hand...

Here are some bible verses on trust:

Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.

Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

Psalm 9:10 And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken them that seek you.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

God bless always.

NO ONE (I repeat) NO ONE can tell me "THIS IS NOT GOD!"

"Amazing" you say? GOD I say! HE continues to work through me "supernaturally!" I give HIM "ALL" the praise!

How is it HE woke me up this morning with the Message "A Peace that Passes ALL Understanding," Joyce Meyers being on TV speaking on "Suffering," GOD telling me to tell you "THIS IS JUST A TEST," GOD telling me "YOU "ARE" HEALED" IF you TRUST in the LORD with ALL your heart!" How is this?

If they don't know the story, they won't understand the response! Am I right about it?

And a "light affliction" it is! A "good thing" it is! GOD has work for you to do! HE wants you to deliver TRUTH to HIS people! You may not see it now, but GOD has "A Plan" for you!

May GOD continue to keep and Bless you!

"Nothing But the Blood of JESUS!" Praise HIM!

      LOVE

That is amazing as I was driving into work this AM listening to Christian Radio they were talking about Philipians 4: 6 and 7. A knucklehead like myself would never have thought that this condition could be a good thing but it has been. Actually an amazing blessing. Only God does that man certainly cannot. It is not a matter of if it is only a matter of when I will be getting better. God is just bigger. You know exactly what I am talking about as you have lived it. Is there anything better? God has our backs and even if things don't heal like we like you are only going home to the Father. Jesus loves us ... really loves us. Nothing is better. God is using me to praise HIm during this light affliction. And praise Him I will. I love Him.

      Love,

      Damian

A Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

I woke up this morning and I heard HIS VOICE say “A Peace That Surpasses ALL Understanding!” I got up and obeyed HIS Command, sat down at the computer and turned on the TV where “coincidentally” Joyce Meyers was talking about “suffering!” LORD I’ve never seen my life “fall into place” like this! This is what I talk about when I repeat what Scripture says “HE will lead and guide us…” (John 14:26)!

You might say “If GOD is such a good GOD, why does HE allow all these bad things happen?” We will NEVER know why GOD does what seems to be “bad,” but GOD is placing all of us where HE wants us to be! Saying “Why” is useless because GOD just wants us to TRUST HIM and BELIEVE HE can and WILL work it out “for good” no matter what happens! Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are called according to his purpose.” Therefore, it’s not our job to figure it out; it’s our job to TRUST HIM! When you don’t TRUST Him there is nothing but confusion! Proverbs 3:5 says “TRUST in the LORD with ALL thine heart; and lean not unto thine OWN understanding!”

JUSTICE: GOD ALWAYS makes what seems wrong right! “IF” we handle the TEST right! Whatever is going on in your life today; “TRUST GOD” so HE can lead you where HE wants you to be!

Let me let you read what the Psalmist David wrote about Joseph! Psalms 105:17-18 “HE sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron.” Did you hear “…he was laid in iron?” I believe Joseph was passing the TEST, he continued to TRUST IN THE LORD, he became STRONG, and when he came out (experienced “supernatural experiences”) ; he had “A peace that surpasses ALL understanding!”

WE can do ANYTHING if we TRUST in GOD but the one thing we can’t do is “give up” and not TRUST in HIS PROMISES! When we TRUST HIM: “And the peace of GOD, which passeth ALL UNDERSTANDING, shall keep your hearts and minds through CHRIST JESUS” (Philippians 4:7)!

Read all of Philippians Chapter 4!

      LOVE

      YES!

"There is NOTHING impossible for GOD" (Luke 1:37) and I'm "living proof!" So are you! Thank HIM for HIS HEALING POWER - DAILY!

THANK HIM FOR "YOUR" HEALING - VERBALLY - EVERYDAY whether you "feel" it or not!

"Therefore I say unto you, Whatsoever you desire, when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye RECEIVE them, and ye shall HAVE THEM" (Mark 11:24) because HE "...canst do EVERYTHING..." (Job 42:2)!

"Fear thou not; for I AM with thee: be not dismayed; for I AM thy GOD: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10)!

"Ah LORD GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is NOTHING TO HARD FOR THEE" (Jeremiah 32:17)!

"What then shall we say to these things? If GOD is for us, who can be against us" (Romans 8:31)?

In the NAME of JESUS - YOU "ARE" HEALED!

      THANK YOU JESUS!

      Stay Blessed!

      Norine:

You are a true blessing. Also, loving the scripture you have provided. It is all right there for us. We have to p-ray for the world. It is so very sad that so many do not understand what God has done. he loved us that much to give us what we do not deserve. His mercy is unending. You are an inspiration and your story is amazing and shows nothing is too big for God absolutely nothing.

      Be blessed always.

Isn't it funny how Jesus humbles us to recognize Him? MS is only a test of your faith! Jesus took ALL of our illnesses upon Himself on the Cross! Jeremiah 33:6 says "Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth."

III John 1:2 says " Beloved, I wish above ALL things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thou soul prospereth."

Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes YE WERE HEALED!"

As Disciples of Christ, Jesus gave us authority to go out and "...heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:8).

James 5:14 "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD" and I will say as Peter said in Acts 3:6 "...Silver or gold I do not have, but such as I have give I thee: In the name of JESUS CHRIST of NAZARETH rise up and walk." Thank you JESUS!

I would like for you to give "VERBAL PRAISE" for your healing EVERYDAY! Thank the LORD for HIS AMAZING POWER for BY HIS STRIPES YOU "ARE" HEALED!" Hallelujah!

Damion, I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer this time last year (November 2015) and was given only six months to live! My spirit would not accept the diagnosis but rather ALL SCRIPTURES with HIS PROMISES regarding "healing" came to memory! I told the oncologist "That's not what my DOCTOR is telling me!" HE told me "BY HIS STRIPES I "WAS" HEALED! In May of this year (2016), the month in which I was to die, the pathology report came back from the lab showing "cancer free!" LOOK @ JESUS! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!

I give GOD "ALL THE GLORY" - EVERYDAY! HE did it for me, HE has DONE IT FOR YOU because you BELIEVE!

You know what? Those who will be great Disciples of Christ, Satan really picks on! He sees we have much to offer and will continue to try our faith!

I Peter 1:6-9 "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

"BY HIS STRIPES, YOU "WERE" HEALED!"

      Blessings
