RESURRECTION SUNDAY They Found an Empty Tomb
The Soldiers Are Bribed
They Found an Empty Tomb!
Christ brought the “Dispensation of Grace” into fruition by rising after being slain, conquering death. By Sunday morning, the tomb was empty. “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb" (Matt. 28:1 NKJV).
Jesus was in the grave (shadowing Jonah) for three days and three nights, seventy-two hours. He was put in the tomb on Wednesday just before the start of the annual Holy Day known as the First Day of Unleavened Bread (Lev. 23:6) and rose right before sunset on Saturday.
The celebration of Resurrection Sunday commemorates the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Unlike Holy Communion, Foot Bathing and Baptism; Jesus Christ did not institute Easter Worship.
A Tree of Life
Christians should use this season to strategically prepare the framework to win souls to Christ by minimizing pageantry. After sinners attend a "Easter Service" they should leave connected to the Body of Christ. Christians should allow the Spirit of God to have access to flow through the service which allows the sinner's heart to become pricked that they may conclude with the question, "what must I do to become saved?" After which they may have full participation in those ordinances instituted by Jesus Christ.
What is going on? By following days to observe worship you can become confused; but if you follow God all your days you can't go wrong.
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30
