Redeemed, Set Free

Updated on September 20, 2011

Redeemed! Set free...

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Ephesians 1:7,8 NIV

Isn't it amazing how God set us free from a life of worry, and how He made us in His image, how God sent His Son to save us from a afterlife of punishment.

Through the blood of God's Son Jesus Christ we are set free from life of worry and pain. Yes, we will have trials in our lives, but Jesus said it would not be easy for He has overcame the world. We do sin, yes. We fall into sin, but He is faithful and will forgive us our sins.

Isaiah 48:17

This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

We all need to be led in the right direction, when we we're little we mostly needed our parents to guide us in the right direction, but as we grew up we needed a Savior to lead us in the paths of His direction, His ways. The world will rip us apart, but we have a Savior that will never forsake us. That is why He went to the cross for us, so we could live for Him, and live with Him in heaven someday.

Jesus knows our needs, He knows us more than we know ourselves, He has every hair on our heads numbered. He is amazing.

A lifetime without Him would be terrible. I never could figure out how others that don't have a relationship with Him got through this life, it's so hard without someone to guide us in our lives today.

the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;

Always remember the words above, He is our redeemer, He will never forsake us, He said so..we are redeemed by His blood shed on the cross.

A few weeks ago I was at church and taking communion. Well this time I felt it was different. Instead of just sitting in my chair, I felt I had to kneel down at my chair and pray, thanking Him for the cross and repenting of my sins..I had tears falling down my face as I rose, and I felt like He really heard me, as I prayed to my Savior and recognizing what He did for me on the cross. He died so I could be with Him in Heaven. That is a wonderful Savior.

God bless you and remember He is the only way to the Father and to Heaven.

Jesus did all the work so we owe Him all we have.

      Betty, I am always moved when I see the Lord breaking us. Breaking hurts but the joy that God replaces the hurt with is amazing. I too wonder how people live without Christ, more specifically, How Did I Do It? I came to the conclusion that they all kill the pain of this life with more sin. There is a pleasure in sin for a season. That however, will, sooner or later, kill a person and it does if they do not turn toward the Lord and repent. Love ya Bob

      What a beautiful testimony of the power of God! When asked about my faith, I often tell people that what sets the Christian apart from every other faith is the fact that even though we are sinners, God will take us just as we are--dirty laundry and all. All that we need to have is a penitent heart and the discipline to follow Him and grow. True faith leads to a better life! Not having all the guilt of past, present, and future wrongdoings is cleansing, refreshing, and renewing. Whenever I drift from God, which happens more often than I care to admit, my soul feels an absence of fellowship. A relationship with God takes time and work, time in prayer, study, and quiet, and work in applying His call on one's life. Keep up the great work!
