Release Fear and Embrace God
Is Fear a tool used to suppress the Christian?
“I can understand your position, your fears. Through your fears, you are attempting to protect yourself from pain, disappointment, and heartache. I want you to understand when love is present; there should be no fear. Fear is Satan’s tool of entrapment.”
A friend of mine was struggling with a family issue that had her down and depressed. She had tried everything from a Christian standpoint to do the “right thing,” but still the situation escalated into an argument. The family members she was dealing with were not Christians and were making decisions affecting the entire family. I was trying to encourage her and wrote the above. I liked the way it sounded so I saved it. It is so simple yet profound. It has had such an impact on me. “Love conquers all,” I’m sure is an old cliché; but, if we truly can open our hearts and minds to it’s influences the result is acceptance of God’s grace.
His grace is sufficient. His love is limitless. His mercy is endearing. He IS all we need. Words are easy to say; faith is the key to opening the blessings and promises God has given. He wrote them down for us, left us a guidebook, yet we still rely on our own feelings, understandings, and self to get through those tough times. Unfortunately, most of us are past our prime before we truly learn to trust and rely upon God. How much we could have accomplished for Him, how many lives could we have changed, how many unnecessary trials we could have avoided---if we would have only trusted and obeyed Him?
No matter who you are, what you’ve done, or where you’re from—God loves you. He is the same today as yesterday and forever more. When you’ve tried everything else, why not give Him a try?
