Religion: How to Select the Right One

Religious Signs

A Child is Born

When a child is born, is it born without knowledge of religion?

Or, is a child born with The Word hardwired into a section of brain called knowledge?

Live Child Birth

A Child is Forced to Conform

A child is forced to conform to religious rules that are enforced by the parents that it is born to. Where did the parents get their rules? Most get their rules from a specific religious belief. Whether the parents are following the correct rule or are mislead by false teachings is unknown.

If the people who are following a certain creed think that it's all or nothing then anyone who doesn't follow their rules to the letter are targeted as being disobedient and punishment is seen to be justified.

If the people following a certain creed feel that each person is responsible for their own decision, then there will be peace on earth, since it no longer would matter if someone else follows the wrong doctrine. Sometimes, people think that they must correct others for religious decisions because they feel that if someone is not following their doctrine, they will both suffer.

I know this is not true, since people die everyday and no one knows everyone and even if they did not follow the rules to the letter, they die alone.

Jesus Owns the Children

Jesus owns the children. They are his.

The Life of a Missouri Synod Lutheran

A child grows older. Learns about religion. Learns that there is religious procedure. Lutherans expect the child to be baptized into the Christian faith by way of sponsors who speak for the child as a two week old baby. Later, in the teen years when the child has received two years of instruction, the child acknowledges for him/herself that the original "I believe that Jesus died for my sins" is what this child is convinced of an continues to believe. This is called Confirmation.

Jesus Owns the Aged and Opens their Eyes so They Can See.

After a lifetime of conforming to human religion, aged people seem to start to lose their minds. Most are put into nursing homes. They are believed to be out of touch.

But wait. Many people who live in nursing homes, talk of the same things. There are millions of people that are older that live in nursing homes and they all speak of the same things.

In the end, things shall come to pass, but these three remain: faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is Love.

There is a Jesus

The little voice in your head that seems to be there when you need someone to talk to, this voice is Jesus.

How About You

Was there a certain age that you started to learn about Religion?

There Are People Who Force Religion on You

There are those who are so committed to pushing their ideas on others, that they lose the interaction of conversation. They are so committed to converting the wrong to the right that they lose their listener.

Life is

Life is what it is. God created the plants and trees. The tree bears fruit. The fruit falls to the ground. The seed gets worked back into the ground. A new tree starts to grow. The new tree will eventually have fruit of its own and the fruit will fall to the ground and will grow yet another tree.

This is life.

A tree. A tree grows from a seed. It grows tall. It produces fruit. The fruit contains seeds. Each seed will do one of a list of things:

1. it will feed a bird

2. it will produce another tree

3. it will become compost

What Came First - Chicken or Egg

According to the religious book, the chicken came first. Because God created the animals before they were ever ordered to fulfill their own procreation.

It seems to be a fact that all of the current animals grew and multiplied from the animals that were spared in the story of Noah's ark. The ark floated on the large body of water and when the waters subsided and the animals were released onto dry ground, they were commanded to go forth and multiply and fill the earth.

Religion is Your Choice

You must choose your own path. You will live your life. Be good to others. Be of good faith.

Your choice of religion will pass with you.

I believe Jesus resurrected to prove an afterlife actually exists. After all, He could not come back from nothing. A place or condition must first exist before there can be a return. Belief in an afterlife turns Man to God. Without a resurrection there was no proof of an afterlife.

No blood sacrifice removes sin. It never did. Blood sacrifice is a primitive thought process. Forgiveness removes sin.

Jesus died for our sins, otherwise we'd all be crap out of luck... and some religions don't believe in Jesus, so they still kill to clean up what they feel is wrong. . Everyone dies alone and they will alone learn the truth.

I suggest the test of any religion is whether it teaches that killing/harming another human being is wrong.

      No one should harm another.

No form of sacrifice removes sin. Forgiveness removes sin.

Hi Char Milbrett. It's a good hub. You have tried to explain the process of selecting a religion, and argued what Jesus Christ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has done for the humanity.

You have started by saying "When a child is born, it is born without knowledge of religion"... Fully agree, you mean to say a seed can't bear fruits... Absolutely true... But when and how can a seed bear fruits?

If you say a child borns without the knowledge of religion than what are the qualities by means of which a person can understands which religion or path is true?

I think this aspect needs to be understood. Our success in both the worlds depends on a fair understanding of this aspect. Your hub has initiated a good discussion to understand this important aspect. Thanks for sharing. Happy Christmas.
