Rethinking Rights and Wrongs
Transforming Our Mind
The most powerful and influential part of our body is the "brain". The brain houses our mind and it is within our mind that sin begins and/or ends. Our mind must be filtered and directed by our spirit to be effective in the transformation of our soul (heart). Our born again spirit is born again unto perfection. Perfection needs stimuli to develop and grow strong (Luke 2:40). (He is perfect, therefore He makes our own spirit to be perfect.) Thoughts will bombard our mind daily and it is with our spirit that we "bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ", (2 Cor. 10:5). Our spirit (needing constant watering and feeding) are fed and developed by and through the Word of God (the Bible). And when a thought comes into our mind, our spirit will either "agree" or "disagree" with the thought. The more often we "agree" with a right (Godly) thought, then a transformation begins to take place within our mind and our soul and even our body. Our very soul becomes changed and our bodies line up to this change. And this is the transformation that the Holy Spirit Himself, encourages and helps us with. The Holy Spirit is always close to us, within us, active and waiting for our recognition and dependency upon Him. But, when we spend little time becoming familiar with His Word and His teaching our soul what is a "right" and what is a "wrong" thought, what is a "true" and what is a "false" thought ... We will not be able to sense His nearness. He will "seem" far away or even "silent" and without influence in our life. Our ignorance of God's Word truly does lead to our perishing (Hos. 4:6) .. Our misdirection .. Our demise .. Our inability .. Our victimization. But, to know Him, His Word, will lead us to an abundant life .. Success .. Proper direction .. Our victory. Usually, not overnight. But bit by bit, eventually and gradually, our faith becomes sustainable because we spend time with Him and in His Word. Our sustaining is the key to all good things being manifested in our life. A right and proper mindset, leads to a right and proper life.
