- Exploring Religious Options
“GOD”, a simple three-letter word but hard to define in any verbal and nonverbal communication. We have so many religions, and countless Gods. But for me God is one, who leads us to love and specially loving to every creature and nature. Mind’s reflection distributes us in to different religions. Although religion is the source to generate faith in us but faith should be favoritism free. Entire world is divided in to different types of faiths to produce in different fields like bigotry, superstition, religious approaches, spiritualism and humanism. For me true kind of faith is believing in humanity and having humanistic approach.
We worship God, but why? Think about some reasons behind it.
1-Love for god
2-Fear of god
3-Preassumptions about god
4- To Fear from His powers
5-Greed for fulfilling desires, wishes, etc.
6- Fear for losing what we have
7- Fear of death
God Himself would never accept all these reasons to worship Him. Let’s talk about the true significance and the mixture of human psychology behind these reasons.
1-Love for God: – God is not after our love. The true love which is desired by God is to love selflessly every thing created by him. That’s the best way to show your love and faith.
2-Fear of God: – Many of us will worship almighty due to fear. Perhaps the worst reason among all. Bondage and pressure are behind every fear. Fear cages free will. If we are not free that means we are not worshiping God for the right reason. If you want to make it right then definitely fear from doing harms to others intentionally or unintentionally.
3-Presumptions about god we generally create an image of god which is generally based on presumptions. Don’t follow the paths shown by others. Create your own relation with god to make it special. Give your specific definition to God to worship Him without assuming the views of others. That will be individuals’ true God.
4-Fear of his powers: – God is omnipresent, omnipotent and supreme. We feel fear of His power when we will do terrible deeds. If we would never do anything against humanity, we would never fear of His powers in stead of we will be blessed with His grace and boon.
5-Greed for fulfilling desires wishes and earthly needs – What is the best prayer on earth? When we all will say this in our prayers
“God never leave me alone, live in my inner soul all the time and rest will be manage everything. God please save me from doing anything which is wrong because I never want to give you any reason to leave me alone”
Always satisfy with the things you have. Desires have no limit. We must determine the limits of our desires with the help of “contentment”. Never force god to fulfill your every wish. Leave Him free to grant your wishes according to his wish. That is the true wish.
6-Fear for losing what we have Being a human being, we love everything. Our affection and attachments increases our fear to lose them. That’s the reason we never want our god to get angry on us. We generally call it our misfortune. Find the answer in the holy Bhagavad Gita “What did you lose that you cry about? What did you bring with you, which you think you have lost? What did you produce, which you think got destroyed? You did not bring anything – whatever you have, you received from here. Whatever you have given, you have given only here. Whatever you took, you took from God. Whatever you gave, you gave to him. You came empty-handed, you will leave empty-handed. What is yours today, belonged to someone else yesterday, and will belong to someone else the day after tomorrow. You are mistakenly enjoying the thought that this is yours. It is this false happiness that is the cause of your sorrows”.
7- Fear of death We all has one common fear, “Fear of Death”. We think that only god can save us from death, illness and bad health. Never fear from death, death is rear door to another world. Never worship god because you are unable to overcome your fear of death. Death is certain but life is uncertain. Death is a way through which soul meets to God. In the holy Bhagavad Gita “Why do you worry without cause? Whom do you fear without reason? Who can kill you? The soul is neither born, nor does it die. Whatever happened, happened for the good; whatever is happening, is happening for the good; whatever will happen, will also happen for the good only. You need not have any regrets for the past. You need not worry for the future. The present is happening.”
Conclusion :- Treat God as your best friend, soul-partner, secret-companion, true guide etc. Fight with Him, argue with Him, share your pain with Him, fill your loneliness with Him, cheer him, and share your pleasure and pain with him. It is far much better to love him without any reason in place of worship him for wrong reasons.
