Rule of fear

Updated on November 6, 2010

The end time battle wages on

Rule through fear, and yet we have hope
Thomas H Czech

What an era we live in; an era of fear.
What is going on? I see the news on TV and I read it in the paper. Governments of the world sending out warnings of so-called terrorists or the so-called potential for terror attacks. It is indeed the rule of fear, the era when the population of the world is being controlled or an attempt of control by our governments through fear.
This is an excuse for them to implement even more control, more body scanners, more wiretapping, more id cards with all your info, until they implement the microchip, also known as the number of the beast. In the book of Revelation it clearly states: Revelation 13:16-14:19 (New King James Version)16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Isn’t it also strange, that when a leader of a country begins to drastically drop in the polls or popularity there is all of a sudden some kind of an attempt at an attack on their country? Who sends out those warnings, who is in control?
It has happened in the past and it happened again recently. Again an attempt to gain power through fear.
We are in the day and age of where we hear of wars and rumours of wars. The word of God tells us in Matthew 24:6-7 (New King James Version) 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for allthese things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
This word gives me hope indeed, however it still angers me when I see nations occupying nations out of pure evil greed, and hear of the deaths of thousands of innocent men, women and children, and when I hear a nation threaten another with unjust  sanctions and attempt to dictate to them as how they should run their country. I know all these things are to happen, but that does not make it any easier when I sit here at my computer and hear of these things occurring; here in my lifetime.
We are in the end times; of that there is no doubt. We can witness more natural disasters as well, which is scriptural. We have seen more earthquakes, violent storms, volcanoes and so on. Luke 21:11 (New King James Version) 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.Signs from Heaven”, yes these are indeed signs from heaven, from God Himself, the creator of Heaven and earth. These things are to happen. We understand and know this, and yet it is somewhat uneasy to bear witness too. I always thought that I would be around to witness the end times, and yet, here they are and I am overwhelmed. Not afraid, as I do know where I am going, but it is almost surreal at times when I think about it in depth.
We must live on and continue on our path which is chosen by God, we must continue to evangelize, it is more critical now than ever before. Put on the full armor of God, and continue to fight the good fight.
Ephesians 6:11-20 (New King James Version) 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

      Even with all this remember:

2 Timothy 1:7 (New King James Version)

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind"

God gets it that we may be scared, when I was just searching for the correct book and verse for the above scripture I just typed in fear into and got 336 hits on the word alone. That is not including words like discouraged, timid, terror, or other words that describe fear. Isn't that incredible, so God really gets the fact that we get scared and is always trying to comfort us and reassure us everyday that he has everything under control. Why then do we still fear? Something to think about!
