Satan: The most empowered thought form on the planet.

Updated on November 28, 2013

Lucifer to Satan in the Old Testament

The world is full of lies, illusion, confusion and solutions.

Satan is the biggest player in Western religion next to the Christ. But why?

Legend has it that the finest angel made by God was named Lucifer. Lucifer was the best and the brightest---the Morning Star. Nevertheless, he was the embodiment of ego, so he decided he could actually usurp God's position and authority. God then expelled Lucifer from the heavens. Many angels joined him in rebellion. Spiritual warfare commenced.

Lucifer shifted into Satan as he moved through the dimensions. Satan was powerfully cunning on the earth plane. His many gifts were still intact.

Fast forward, Satan became horribly spiteful and jealous of God's best creation, mankind, so he seduced the naïve prototype of woman, Eve, by tempting her to taste the fruit of God's forbidden tree of knowledge. This is the reported Western version of the fall of mankind. Eve tasted the fruit and then she felt like tempting her partner, Adam. Innocence was forever shorn. Divination was born.

God chastised Adam and Eve by revoking the Garden of Eden. He placed His angels at the perimeter of Paradise to keep mankind from experiencing the eternal tree of life while in the perilous state of sin. And, this state of consciousness was, also, a revocation of direct communication and interaction with Elohim. Grace was virtually extinct. People would falter through thousands of years of growth and development. Trial and error would rule all over the world. Darkness would shroud the land. The word Nahash, occurs in the Hebrew Torah to identify the serpent in Eden. According to Rabbincal tradition, the serpent represents sexual desire. Life became multifaceted.

God condemned Satan day in the Garden. He said, "Because you have done this, you are cursed more than the cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel." [NKJV Genesis 3:15]

The Serpent from West to East

Eventually, God would show His mercy by directly contacting a man named Abram that would become the Patriarch for the Abrahamic religions of Islam, Judaica and Christianity.

The interesting thing is that when Satan showed himself in the Garden of Eden, he came in the form of a serpent.

The Eastern religions revere the form of the serpent. Kundalini yoga refers to a corporeal energy that moves upward through the chakra system. Kundalini lies at the base of the spine in a snake like coil. It is awakened through meditation and other esoteric practices. Incredible transcendence takes place as Kundalini rises. Profound mysticism such as Self-realization, enlightenment, God-consciousness, and Nirvana is a frequent result of the awakened energy. However, kundalini has a bite. If it rises too quickly there are possible negative reactions. People can become psychotic. If breathwork is used to awaken kundalini, heart and lung problems can arise. Health is a precursor to the practice.

Furthermore, the serpent's form is used as a symbol for traditional medicine in the West. The Rod of Asclepius is the original symbol for healing, but it has been confused with the Caduceus that stems from Greece and the god Hermes and the Roman god Mercury and represents commerce. Asclepius was a Greek god as well. The symbols are often confused with one another. Medicine has used both of them throughout history.

I have studied the chakras and some breathwork and yoga over the last eight years or so. There are lower chakras and higher chakras. Chakras are energy vortices that correspond to the glands and move from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each vortice contains/covers specific aspects of human experience/life. Chakra development emphasizes balance. The basics of mankind must blend with the higher, spiritual functions of mankind.

The Christian Story

Tantra is an Eastern religion that specializes in the body and emphasizes shameless-ness. This is not so in terms of the Western religions. Rather, marriage sanctifies the body and its uses in the Abrahamic belief systems. In Christianity, marriage is a metaphor regarding the Christ [the Bridegroom] and His people [the Bride]. Westerners who lack knowledge of Tantra do not understand that Tantric practices actually create perfect, loving union between Source [Divinity] and Its people as well. This happens through the crown chakra and manifests as a sublime experience. Charismatics experience a similar occurrence through Praise and Worship via the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 3:15 foreshadows the Virgin birth of Christ, His life, His passion, His Crucifixion, His death, His resurrection and His Ascencion. Christ is known as the Alpha and the Omega. This speaks of a circular love that encapsulates the beginning and the end. If one meditates on this, there is a realization: God IS. And if God IS, Was and will Always Be, Satan has been a grand actor on a world wide stage that William Shakespeare could only allude to.

Satan's presence in the flesh and blood lives of the people has been extremely important to humanity's growth and development---to mankind's individuation. Satan afflicted mankind with an illusion known as Maya [condensed vibration]. Mankind would have to overcome this very painful experience. Death is real to the physical, mental and emotional worlds. Christ erradicated death's reality in the spiritual world. But here is the most amazing thing, as mankind comes into an awareness of energy's full role [LOVE's full role] in our lives, death in the physical may, also, be erradicated. Energy medicine already has the capacity to heal people of many diseases and traumas. Christ Consciousness moves through healing professionals grounded vessels and causes the same healing written up in the Protestant and Catholic Bibles. Bodies and minds are made perfectly whole. This is true and now in effect.

Satan is still revered as the enemy in many manifestations of Christianity. But, really, even in the reality show of religion and the planet, Satan lost all power when the Christ died. I learned about thought forms from various other belief systems. The empowered Satan that remains in Christianity is a repetitive thought molded into form. People talk about the Law of Attraction these days. Whether one subscribes to that belief or not, it is known through various systems that thought creates the world around us. Pop psychology, for example, reinforces that positive thinking creates a positive life. Thoughts can create positive or negative. Satan is merely one negative thought multiplied by an exponential number. Imagine all the Christians that have spoken Satan's name over and over throughout their lives. And then they apply Satan's work to their very lives. Some Christians will do this and then rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus. Yet, the easier action is not to acknowledge a being like Satan in the first place.

I have only retained a few special friends from my Charismatic days. When I hear them invite Satan's constant toil from their mouths, I get a little frustrated. I don't want any reference regarding Satan in my ozone. But then...whatever. To me Satan is non-existent to everyone but Christians. Thought forms can be destroyed. The most effective way to do this is to be indifferent to their context. I hope Christians will eventually come into this awareness. Perhaps that is why Christians believe in the Rapture. Well...that is a whole different Hub!

Voted up and interesting. But I think rather wrong. I think you place Satan about 10 levels too high. Can you imagine if the press ran stories of beauty and kindness? There would be no room for the occasional horribleness. I do not believe you can elevate evil to a secondary status to Good. It is way down the Totem pole.

I am not grasping your thought. Could you provide more information? The comment is too vague for me to understand what you are actually saying. Are you saying that Satan and evil are codependent? Evil can exist outside the context of a being called Satan. Evil is the absence of love and it comes in many shades of gray. Satan---the thought form and the fallen angel who tempted the Christ and was ultimately destroyed by Christ's perfect LOVE---cannot exist without evil, though. This is logic. One can be without the other but the other cannot live without the one. And to baseline this even further: Source [God/Christ and Spirit] perceived the rise and fall of Lucifer, mankind and Jesus in the beginning. Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient beings needed no part of Satan's game plan to DO anything that was done. This is about God and Relationship to creations He created. Nothing more. Evil exists because a flaw was sown into the tapestry from the beginning. God is perfect. Why would He purposely create flawed people and beings and then PUNISH them for their actions. Lucifer is the embodiment of ego. Christ is the embodiment of pure, unconditional LOVE. Mankind stands between the two with the aid of Satan who knew the POWER of God. Satan knew He could be crushed and he did what he did anyway because egotistical action is always mired in destruction illusion and action. Satan had power on the planet during antiquity. He lost that power the moment Christ willingly went to His merciful death. Satan today is nothing but an illusionist. NOTHING. He makes no one but people who believe in him do, say or think anything. We, the people, are the evil doers now. We have to seek help to overcome our broken, loveless ways. That is the bottom line.

I added my other comment late in the night. I just re-read yours. Are you saying that Satan is not 2nd fiddle to the Christ in Christianity? You haven't lived in the South. I think you have been out West too long.

Joan, let me put it this way. If there is no room in my spirit for Satan and evil it will not exist there. I try to fill mine with the Light of Love. I think most folks generally fill theirs with day to day stuff and throw in some love and hopefully some kind of faith. Most folks do not have room in their hearts for Satan or evil. We take such special notice of evil because it is strange and abhorrent. In fact most evil acts need to be disguised or the are finished. The battle between good and evil is more like putting out small brush fires, while the rest remains healthy.

I understand what you are saying and that may be the case where you are, but where I have lived (Pat Robertson country), Satan is alive and well in the hearts of MANY people. MANY.

That is worrisome, seems like you have been to taught only to look for the fallen one, not the millions of others. A mind can be trained to look for particulars and another mind trained to look for other particulars. I would have to totally retrain my mind to see so much evil. I think I will not.

I think you are missing the most important part of my Hub---the act of being indifferent toward the thought form. Perhaps you are not perceiving this because it was late when I finished writing yesterday and I may not have put enough emphasis on NOT THINKING about Satan. I do not acknowledge him/it as real at all in my life. But people I know totally are wrapped up in the thought form and for them, Satan is VERY real. But I am writing about what I know and Christians where I live are embroiled in the form.

I HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO LOOK FOR AND KNOW LOVE. I write about subjects that move me. My writing is educational in purpose.
