Science, DNA, and God.

Updated on July 11, 2013

Definition of DNA

Deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA is located in the nuclei of each cell, which makes up the body of each cell and is therefore the building block of each cell. There are hundreds of thousands of DNA in each cell, and every single on of them is very important. Not one of them can be left out.

This hub is going explain how DNA is needed in order to become human, as well as how DNA cannot exist without God.

How DNA Works

DNA Stores information for your body like a code. This is very important, because there is so much information on each strand of DNA and your body needs all of it DNA is extremely complex, because it has to share the information it produces in order for you body to develop. The DNA is needed to even produce a single strand of hair.

However, DNA does not work by itself. Ribonucleic Acid works with DNA.

How RNA helps DNA

DNA stores information in order for the human body to grow, however that is not enough for a human to grow. Information in and of itself is only information. It just stays where it is. However when RNA comes into contact with DNA, information the human body needs to grow is transcribes onto RNA. This is rather interesting because it is a very complex process and very necessary. Still it happens thousands of times per day.

Anyway, then the RNA, which has the information the body needs in order to become human, is put from the nucleus of into the cytoplasm, where it is transported by the cytoplasm. In other words RNA takes the information that the DNA had stored, then basically copied it, and then transported it to the cytoplasm is the substance that fills a cell. It is 80% water, but is thick and more like a gel. Cytoplasm helps movement of what is inside each and every cell.

Once the RNA which still has the information reaches ribosomes, the ribosomes translate the information,

DNA +RNA+Protein=Life

How the body starts to grow

As was written above, once the information reaches the ribosomes, the information that originally ( physically that is) from the DNA, the ribosomes translate the information. Then the body starts to grow. The body starts to grow piece by piece using protein. These are the most important things the body needs. DNA, RNA, and Protein. Without these no human being could ever be born. It is an extremely complicated procedure. To complicated to ever happen with out being created by God. At least that what the author of this hub believes.

All because of the smallest piece of DNA. Without that no one would be able to read this hub. Because you would not even be here. That is why God created DNA.

DNA is just the start

The DNA as described above is just the beginning. It also heals wounds, but when it comes to humans it becomes a miracle. All animals have DNA. But, with humans we have been given more then just DNA. We have been given a beautiful gift from God. There is so much more to come. The more science shows us, the more we know that God created us and the universe.

When it comes to the human brain, God gave us a brain that can process more then one million messages per second, filters out what is not important and focuses on what is important. We have been given the right to chose. The right to chose many things.

But, the brain can also be used for love. Some people are kind. They give unto others. They love others, and do the best they can. But, we have the right to choose! We have been given the right to chose. What we chose to do with our brains is very important, not just in our lives, but also in the lives of other people.

Human brains are so different from animal brains, humans socialize, plan parties, etc. However most important of all we are given the chance of understanding God. We pray to God, we sing to God, and thank God. For not only did God create the Heavens and the Earth. God created DNA.

God created DNA, but the naysayers will call for proof even though there is not proof that God did not create it. My son told me a joke:

Two scientist went up to God and told him, "We don't need you anymore. We have found out how to create humans on our own, so therefore we are good without you."

God says, "Oh, you have now?"

Scientists say "Yes so you can move on."

The scientist walk off to scoop up some dirt to create a human and God says, "Hey, wait a minute. That is my dirt. You don't need me, you can't use my dirt either. In fact, you can give back the dirt I used to make your bodies!"

Tamarajo Thank you so much for you comment. You are correct. God is amazing. Science does confirm that God not only created the us, the world and all of the universe!

Fascinating! God is ceaselessly amazing! We can almost see how darkness can prevent the expression of genetic information which is at the root of most human deficiencies. When Jesus said He was the light of the world. He enabled the genetic material to express itself as it was designed to do when He healed. Epi-genetics exhibits this principle too. I just love how science is always so confirmational to God and His ways.

      Hi Nell,

Thanks for your comment, that means a lot to me. The formation of the world, the universe is impossible without God. I would love for Steven Hawking to prove it happened without God. There is no way it could have happened without God.

Scientists are even starting to believe in God. There is no way, something can come from nothing.

Hi Michele, I was having a similar conversation with my brother tonight after watching how the world was formed millions of years ago, and yes we both agree that God or whatever we would like to call It must be behind it all, pure luck just doesn't make sense with all the wonders that we see, wonderful hub, nell

Thank you North Wind. I agree completely. There is no way any of this could have happened at all with out God creating science!

The complexity of DNA shows that life did not just happen. Science supports the fact that God exists because God created Science. The word Science means knowledge and isn't God the creator of Knowledge and was not Wisdom with Him at the beginning?

      Great hub, Michele.

lifegate Thank you so much. It is amazing isn't it? My father had a doctorate in education and taught at Miami University in Ohio. He was once asked to leave a church. Well, it had nothing to do with DNA. But, for some reason I was thinking about you and my father when I was reading my Great American Fast News Letter. You and my father would have agreed on so many things. The new church he went to accepted him with open arms. He died some time ago. But, you would have liked him a lot. Not sure why I was thinking about that this morning. Sorry for rambling on.

      God bless you

It almost makes me laugh because even though the proof of God is there (and in so many other places), so many people still choose to ignore His presence. I say "almost" because it is truly sad that so many are lost without the knowledge of God. Thank you Michele, for this wonderful piece.

Yes, isn't is so very awesome that not one of us on this whole planet are alike. We are each individuals, even our thumbprints! He certainly did create DNA!!!

Very informative and well written piece.
