Searching for God in a Dark Room whilst Looking for a Black Cat?
Humans are Always Searching for Something
Philosophy, Science and Research can be described as someone in a dark room looking for a black cat that may or may not be there. If the cat does exist you may find him; OR, you may find the cat in another room; OR, you may give-up and conclude that the cat did not exist in the first place.
What does this Dark Room and Black Cat Symbolise?
The dark room is representative of your blank open mind and the black cat symbolises the difficulty of finding God blindly. Finding the cat means you have found God; finding the cat in another room is symbolic of finding a new religion; and to conclude in your mind that the cat does not exist is to determine that God did not exist in the first place.
Why does Man Search?
Man searches for the black cat in a dark room and in doing so either finds God or a new religion or finds only himself. I think the one who finds only himself and cannot see God is an arrogant atheist because he believes himself to be the ultimate fountain of knowledge and none can be higher than thy. Thus in effect an atheist considers himself to be God but he is not far from the truth? Because God does live inside us and manifests Himself as the soul.
What is this Soul?
The soul is a part of God that lives inside us all and is either aligned and connected to God or corrupted? The God within your mind is hidden within your conscience and yearns to align and connect back to its Maker in preparation for its eventual return. The only thing stopping the soul from bonding with God is You. Ihsaan is the Islamic concept of worshipping God as though you can see Him, to see God you must first find Him, to find God you must first find yourself. Man is not God, the soul is a part of God that lives inside us all, and that is where you will find Him, hidden within yourself.
