Don't Be Tardy for the Real Party ~ the Holy Ghost Party Don't Stop

Excitement abounds as you wake, ready to be you! Start there grateful that God wants to use you for one more day? He gave you what you need for this one piece of time. You have a purpose as you wipe sleep after awakening, unsure of your mission. You’re ready to bring it! So trust Him to give you wise words and actions.

Wait one minute, don’t open your mouth. Listen, it may be unclear what to say at first. Take a moment and ask to humble yourself for wisdom, His words, and the actions He has for you.

Please don’t forget to wear your armor before bracing for the storms ahead; the surge may be unpredictable. It may take you off guard and place you in a tailspin. You may shake and rock to the core, but trust in God; He will come through always.

Oh, so you say, I’ve messed up, made a mistake, been hurtful, prideful, insensitive, wrong, sneaky, not trusting, giving up, or, in a nutshell, I have been human.

Are you under attack? Well, it’s okay, my friend, you are under attack. Never fear, share your truth, and always admit your humanness. It is one thing that bonds us together here on earth. We are life learners, even when our insecurities are louder than another’s.

We need the listening ear, the teaching comfort of a confidant.

On another day, that a person who comforted you may need you as a sounding board and mentor. God uses us for His good; even suffering is part of the design. His word is so telling and purposeful. You sin; it’s a given; expect imperfection and forgive simultaneously.

By His blood, He makes us new, new to cleanse in the living water of His word. Confess to God and move forward. Know that every tiny step you take will be a force attempting to pull you backward. This force you will fight with every thought and breath, and yet, it will win. In those times of slip-up, hold tight to the promises of the cross. You are stronger than your mess, and God’s grace is sufficient in these battles. Give it up to Him as often as tested, and when you can’t, call out His name, and you will be in His shelter. A sturdy and unshakable cover, with walls that no storm can take from you, this type of shelter will withstand any rain-cloud.

If only you could trust in the Great and benevolent Lord of Lords and King of Kings, He is your protector, your Redeemer, your Father. He never leaves you and wants only the best for you. His arms are always open and welcoming. So when the tears stop falling and the anger has passed, and the mistake is in the past, you can no longer rely on yourself or others; surrender once again, for He is God. He is in every valley, and His spirit can lift you to every peak. He can pull you out of the deepest and darkest of situations. You may not understand, but He will provide understanding. He will challenge you to have faith as deep and wide as His love for you. This faith will take constant hunger for His word. And remember, you can do everything through Christ who strengthens you (Phillip. 4:13).

Just keep talking to Him. Keep looking up and trust in the power of His plan. He will use every bit of you, the good, the bad, the indifference, even the horror of our sin. He will take the remnants and debris of every storm and make rainbows for our future. Every loss will come to a win; every tragedy will bring joy, and every test will get an answer in time.

Believe, love, laugh, and forgive as He forgives. Everyone is struggling and trying to be like Him; some days they get it right, other days not so much, but He loves us all, anyway. Maybe we can do the same for one another and love in that way, without expectation.

Imagine how good that would feel? To not judge others, instead of love with unconditional love. One day, we can come together and see His beautiful face. We will lie at His feet in complete and utter peace. We can get there one day at a time. If we awaken Him and trust His direction, all things are possible.
