Seeing Through The Clouds

Updated on March 4, 2015

We all have those days and nights. Everything seems out of place and nothing just wants to go right.

The thunderbolt hits and lightening fills the sky. The rain falls both on the Earth and in our minds.

It is called depression. Our bodies ache and we just want to crawl into a cave somewhere and hide from all the world.

Why do I write about this now? Because I live it at times and I know many others do too.

It is times like these when people do rash things. Suicide is one of the first thoughts of many and many go for it.

They do this for varieties of reasons; financial, lost love and other reasons that there are answers for. It just seems at the moment there are no answers.

So what do I do in these moments? Scroll down and see.

My first and best way to solve depression is praying.

God will help! His Holy Spirit is here to comfort us.

I read my Bible and meditate on the Words.

I think Jesus even faced depression too so He knows and understands.

The Psalms can be a very big help during depression states of mind. This scripture comes to mind: Psalm 34:18, 19 – The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (19) A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Let God lift you out; He will.

Have someone you trust that you can talk to.

My wife, Maggie helps me through these times.

I also have other friends and family that I can converse with during times like these.

It is very important to just talk it out. Many times you can find the answers yourself if you just have someone who will listen.

I, personally, love to write.

The reason I am writing this hub is because i found myself in this state of mind just last night. I first prayed and read the Word. I then talked with Maggie and today I am writing.

You don't have to write hubs. Make a diary or a journal.

It helps me to write, because I think and solve while writing.I believe it will work for you too.

Don't be rash in depressive states!

You will look back on the time you were depressed at a later point and most generally, you will realize that it really wasn't that bad.

It sure isn't ever worth taking your own life for. Suicide is forever-problems CAN be fixed.

As I look upon this day, I see rays of sunshine coming through. God is so good and life is worth living.

I pray and hope this hub will let someone else realize that depression can be helped. I hope this hub encourages and guides you into a better way.

May God be with you today and forever!

What do we expect from life? Matthew 6:21 says:"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

And Psalm 90:10 says:"The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."

Count your blessings "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3
