Simple Money Spells

Updated on March 5, 2012

Use magic to attract more wealth

Money makes the world go round or so it is believed by many people today. I personally do not think money is the most important thing in life, but having enough money does help make life more enjoyable. For a witch who has consciously chosen to lead a more sustainable and environmentally friendly life the topic of wealth creation may seem slightly incongruous. However, money and wealth are crucial to allow for activities that benefit the protection of Mother Earth. Money is needed to help build more sustainable energy generators, to buy and plant more trees and lots of other things. So the desire for money and wealth is itself not a sop for the mass-commercialisation and the consumer driven society of today. It is a vital ingredient if one is serious about making a real different to the planet and the universe. So I strongly believe that with the right intention that money spells are ethical.

With that in mind, here are some simple money spells. I hope they help you manifest your desires.

Juno's Wheel of Fortune Spell

This spell is taken from Silver Ravenwolf's book titled Silver's Spells for Abundance . For this spell you will need the rune Feoh, a white piece of paper, coloured pencils or crayons, a green pen or marker, a list of your desires, blessed spring water and a green candle.

On a full or waxing moon sit down at a table with your supplies. Hold the green candle in both your hands and say,

Oh creature of earth,

assist me to magnify my desires.

Then light your candle and say,

Oh creature of fire,

assist me to magnify my desires.

Then draw a large circle on your paper with the green pen. This represents the magic circle cast in a ritual magical working. Divide your circle into pie slices, one slice for each desire. On each slice, with the green pen, write down your desire. Then with your coloured pencils draw and colour in an image that corresponds to your desires. Once you have finished doing this, draw any runes or sigils you think appropriate, or just draw the rune Feoh suggested above. Turn the paper over and on the back of the drawing write 'In the name of Juno'. Now sprinkle your paper with a bit of blessed spring water and say,

Oh creature of water,

grant my will with my desire.

Blow three times on the paper and say,

Oh creature of air,

grant my will with my desire.

Then say,

My desires come to be in Juno's name.

So mote it be!

Finally seal your spell with an equal-armed crossed. This is like a normal cross but with all four sides of equal length. Use your strong hand for this.

When you have finished the colour wheel, envision yourself surrounded by white light. Present the colour wheel to the four quarters, going first to the north, then the south, followed by the east and finally the west, asking them for their blessings. Invoke Juno and again ask her to bless your spell and help to manifest your desires. Then thank the four quarters. Thank the goddess Juno and then, finally put your coloured wheel in a safe place and trust that the universe will grant you your desires.

You could perform this spell on New Year's day to add power to this spell. You could also superimpose a star onto your wheel to make it stronger and more potent.

Musical Wish Spell

For this spell you will need a simple white candle, a bowl of cool salt water, a ballpoint pen, a small card, vanilla-scented oil or your favourite oil and your favourite song that you like to listen to over and over again.

Turn on your favourite song and sing or hum along with the music. Now think about how much money you would like to have this year. Decide on a specific amount. Now use your pen to write that amount in large numbers on the card. Set the card in front of you where you can easily read it. Next, wash the candle in cool salt water and dry it. Use the pen to inscribe the candle with the amount of money you have already noted on the card. Once this is done, apply your favourite or vanilla-scented oil on to the candle, starting at the centre of the candle and moving in one direction only, outwards from the centre towards the two ends of the candle. Keep playing your song over and over again as you perform these tasks.

Now anoint yourself with your oil. First your wrists, then your forehead and throat. Wipe your hands clean and light your candle, dedicating it to Roman goddess of wealth Fortuna. Sit or recline comfortably and gaze into the candlelight. Take a deep breath and as you exhale allow all the tensions you may have to to dissipate. Do this for at least eight times, each time breathing in a pure, bright green light. Once you are relaxed and filled with the green light get up and dance and sing along to your favourite song. All the while imagine having the amount of money you wished for. Really feel and see yourself enjoying the money. Believe and see it coming true in the near future. Do this for another five minutes. Then let your candle burn down completely, do not snuff it out. Put the card into your purse or wallet and leave it there until you receive the amount you specified in it. Keep playing the song you selected for this spell frequently, and each time you hear the song, believe that money is coming to you.

Of course, I totally agree. Positive thought do make a huge difference, but without the cold practicality of money, it is often hard to put them into practice. I think practicality and good intentions need to go hand in hand. That's the real way forward. Too often, people chase one and demonise the other to their folly.

Very useful, and good, thank you. and you are right money is something that does help to make a difference. But I believe possitive thoughts can also make a difference! peace, love, and light!
