So What's Up With The Law of Attraction?

A wave, a particle and a cat in the snow.

A simple explanation of how the Law of Attraction works is this: what you think about with great emotion creates a feeling in your body. That feeling -- when married to thought -- is like a prayer that the universe hears and responds to by providing you with an event, a circumstance, a person, place, or thing that returns that feeling-married-to-thought to you.

This thought combined with passionate emotion, sends an electrical signal through your central nervous system to your body, and creates the feeling that gets transmitted to the universe through your heart center. Because we are energy, that feeling spreads out to the universe and acts as a magnet to draw to you the same in return. The more passionate the emotion is that is tied to the thought -- the quicker the manifestation.

The universe does not distinguish between negative and positive feelings -- it just responds to whatever is emitted by you. Your thought imbued with emotion becomes a feeling that draws to you more of what you're feeling (or focusing upon). This is the way it works. For everyone. About everything. No ifs, ands, or buts. It is a spiritual law.

Like the law of gravity, the law of attraction works without you having to know all about it. What does this mean? It means that you alone are responsible for what comes into your life. Some people take this to mean blame -- but we're not talking about blame -- how can you blame a person for not turning on the lights when they know nothing about electricity?

This is hard for most people to accept. They say things like "I didn't create this getting fired," or this "traffic accident" or this dis-ease or a lover who cheats and leaves me.

I disagree. Why? Because no-one else lives inside of you BUT you. And every thought we think, every emotion we feel, is recorded by the universe. We are eternal spiritual beings. We are made up of energy. Just like everything else.

Energy never dies, cannot be taken from, or added to, is constantly moving in and out of form, and is everywhere and nowhere at once. We are made of the same material as the stars in the sky and the earth underneath our feet.

In essence, we are where heaven and earth meet. And what a meeting that can be when you're centered, awake and aware. Life becomes a true joy!

There is more to this than meets the eye, however. Because we have so many per-programmed thoughts and feelings from our childhood, our experiences, our family and friends, when we try to focus on something we want -- we may experience a resistance in the form of self-sabotage.

When you learn to let go of the resistance -- everything changes.

Very nice. The law is both very simple and somehow complex. i find when you're really seeking out consciousness, your ability to focus and meditate increases exponentially.

What a beautiful comment - thank you! I haven't delved too deeply into hubpages yet, I am so enjoying the ease with which one can create a page and mess around with it! Have you taken any photos of your art and put into your hub? I think that would be wonderful.

      Blessings today to you!
