Some Hearts are Diamonds
Some Hearts are Diamonds
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
What more can a human being achieve in life, than to be loved? There is no greater measure of accomplishment, no comparison worth the breath. We can become lost in the mundane, the trite and unimportant projections of physical goals, all of which pale in comparison to expressing and accepting love and its many facets. It remains like a perfectly cut diamond, each facet a reflection of the aspects of our thoughts, the core, the brilliance, a metaphor for our hearts expression, the radiance of a loving mind.
Compassion, kindness, understanding and selflessness are but the cornerstones of a diamond heart. The capacity to love is the brilliance that reflects intent outwardly into the world, and is how we are seen. We could be a builder’s labourer or a lawyer, a doctor or deliver pizza, but in the end we are of substance because of our heart, and little else.
Love is a misunderstood word, an often shallow and overused idiom. It can only have meaning in the doing, the expression that qualifies the word. Saying it can have deep meaning, but without living its intent, the word becomes chatter, lost within the noise of meaningless thought. Love is an action, not a result; it remains in flux, evolving and growing as a seedling, having been nurtured and given nutrients by tender and loving hands.
A touch, a selfless act, a consideration, thoughts removed from self or ego are the paths to fulfilled love, in giving and experience. There are no bounds in a loving relationship; everything is possible and fed by two selfless hearts. Giving becomes receiving, receiving becomes giving in perfect growth and balance. Love takes on a life of its own and we, as beloved, shine as a perfect diamond, a radiant beacon of hope and possibility.
Diamond hearts are lights to a dark world, magnets to those open enough to find truth in all the chaos of earthly life. It is not easy to find love amid the outpourings of physical life and all that occurs because of it. It is not easy to surrender to an intangible course and then place it above all else. We often see sacrifice as loss, but it is the opposite. In the balance of a just universe we are compensated threefold for our giving, and in ways far greater in meaning. Giving love unencumbered is all it is meant and it will by return feed the souls that expressed it.
Love inspires love, gives strength to it, tears down walls, builds monoliths of possibility and opens door that before could not be imagined. Love is the path of grace, embodying freedom and joy. To be loved is the greatest experience we will ever experience, and to be recognised as a diamond heart the greatest compliment and achievement in life.
It is never what we do in life that is important, but how we do it, and with love in our hearts, the power of life is within our every breath and action.
