Trinity exposed:Concept doesn't exist in Scripture.

Updated on December 30, 2012

"Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from God," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby." (The Noble Quran, 2:79)

Obviously,God is unique, and vastly superior to His creation. He is not in need of son.It is us who are in a stark need of things to make us go.God,on the contrary, is rich and above all needs. He has no parallel or equal. He does everything alone. If He wants a thing to come into being,He simply says:"Be!" and then immediately"It is" and if He wants to forgive a sinner,He does not need a lamb, a mediator or a cross. He simply does it freely ,without causing him the least harm.Saying that He,Glory be to Him, has a son or He is three persons in one being is blasphemy and hideous. In this connection,The Noble Quran says: "And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son.You have done an atrocious thing. The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation. That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant." and the Bible says: "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord"(Mark 12:29).If the Quran and the Bible admit that there is only one Almighty God,so why the majority of Christians believe in the tri-personality of God ?Is it because they are too arrogant to admit the truth that they were decieved by the Satan for almost two thousand years ?or is it because they are too afraid to step out of the shell of credulity and follow the only true way to God,Islam ?

In this Hub Inshaallah,I willl take an indepth look at the role of Church and list important events that helped develop the Trinity.I will also take a look at Biblical verses that some appear to be metaphorical and some others appear to be contradictory and at last ,I will expose the analogy between ancient paganism, especially Egyptians ,with Christianity. The aim is not to vilify Jesus (upon him be peace) who we Muslims respect and venerate but to help the Christians and the truthseekers to understand the historical facts which eventually caused the Church Fathers to abandon the path set by The Almighty God ,so that they can weigh up for themselves what is true and what is fiction.

A.Church ,Paul and Constantine VS Science and logic:

1,The Monopoly of the Church and Paul on the Truth:

As a matter of fact, the Bible we have today is altered and full of contradictions and interpolations. No attempt were made to interpret the Bible out of the church beliefs during The Middle Ages, because the scarcity and high cost of Bibles kept them out of the hands of ordinary people. The questions about the authenticy of Bible started to crop up when the print was invented as a new medium of communication in the fifteenth century.Consequently,It allowed a large number of works to be made and dispatched rapidly to remote regions and literacy to become more and more widespread.

The Church couldn't obtain anymore either wealth or influence. The first trial it had to confront was when Galileo found evidence,by using his telescope, to support the Copernican theory.Church couldn't remain silent and stand on the sidelines. in 1616 Pope Paul V ordered Galileo to abandon the Copernican theory. But he insisted that the earth and the other planets revolve around the sun.His insistence leaded him to the persecution.By the ninteenth century,Church started to lose its influence upon people. The availability of information ,great scientific advancement and new techniques of literary analysis, archaeology and linguistics make scholars to study the Bible as literature rather than as divine revelation.

In reaction to this,a group like Presbyterians within Christianity tried to rein back the scientific religious movement. They believe that everything that Bible contain is absolutely, literally, scientifically and historically true.If there is any conflict between Bible and other sources,it must be resolved in favor of Bible. The problem with this tendency is taking everything literal. If you say to them for example not to take the title son of God literally. They would argue and say we shouldn't interpret it out of the text, the words are clear;he is the actual biological Son of God.No less than that but more:sometimes Son,sometimes Father, sometimes Holy Spirit and sometimes Three in One.but is it really The Bible say that?did Jesus say clearly:I am the son of God and at the same time God,I descend from heavens to die for your sins?Is there any formalized explanation of the three in one in The Bible?

If we examine the New Testament,we will find that Jesus has never said that he is God incarnated or he is the biological son of God.If we examine the Paul's letters,we will find that it was Paul who made claim to the trinity, not Jesus .The latter was clear when he said that St.Peter is his rock on which he will build his church, but Paul couldn't help himself claiming that St.Peter went astray and he is the greatest apostle.Isnt that amazing?Someone who never saw Jesus in person,he got the nerve to disdain James,John, peter who were called and trained by Jesus for three and a half years to be his witnesses! :

:"But from those who seemed to be something - whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man- for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me. But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles), and when James, Cephas (Peter), and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised." Galatians 2:6,7,9

!!!..really wow !!a man who came from afar,in the twinkling of an eye,he became a big shot.No one from the twelve apostles other than him has claimed for themselves the title of "apostle".!!!How dare he is to say that Peter is an hypocrite!and how dare he is to humiliate Peter before the entire church of Antioch.

"But when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews played the hypocrite with him so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straight forward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, "if you being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?" Galatians 2:11-14.

How dare he is to urge his followers to accurse anyone who preaches a different gospel than his Galatians 1:8,9 :

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Many gospels were written after the departure of Jesus, but only four of them were accepted by The council of Nicaea (325) to fit an ideology. They were rewriting by Irenaeus in Creek in the second century.Justin Martyr before him (150) never mentioned something like a New Testament. He mentioned the "memoirs"( letters)of the apostles, other Gosples attributed to Peter, letters of Paul.In 170,Tatian was working on a new gospel that would summarize all the other ones that were circulating around. Therefore, indicating that Christians were still writing and rewriting gospels based on their own assumptions and preferences, not on historical facts.

2.The Historical Role of Emperor Constantine:

When the emperor Constantine found that he was going to lose his grip on his vast great empire, because of the rising of religious disputes and bloody conflicts between sects. He interfered in religious life in attempt to consolidate the Empire and solve what they were fighting over.He erred on the side of caution and supported the Trinitarian sects because they were close to his pagan beliefs. He didn't care about Christianity or Jesus. He was a military genius who knew how to use religion to his own ends,.He chose 300 Bishops for that mission. They exchanged views and ideas. At the end they agreed on the Irenaeus' choice of the four gospels which became the official dogma of the Roman Church and all other canons like the gospels of Thomas, the Egyptians,Bartholomew, Hebrews,Apocalypse of Peter, the Twelve Apostles.. should be banned and persecuted all sects who deny the divinity of Jesus like Ebionites , Arians-who were kicked out from the council of Nicaea because they believe that Jesus is a messenger of God like others before him-

"The Nicene Council is considered by all as the first Ecumenical Council of the Church (Roman Catholic Church). It was occasioned by the Arian heresy which in effect denied the divinity of Jesus Christ. The major product of this council was the Creed, the "Nicene Creed"; but it also addressed the date of Easter, and the place of the Patriarch of Alexandria." 1

Apparently,it seems Constantine didn't control or patrol the Council, but if we look again so deeply at the event,we will put the independency ,partiality and the motives of the Council under suspicion, because only the delegates of the Bishop of Rome in the council held such a prominent place in the assembly, thereby implying that the Council affirmation and agreement wouldn't go out of the frame that Constantine had outlined for it. The website affirms that "it was Constantine the one who controlled the Administration of the Church and not the Pope (Silvester I at the time). Constantine opened and closed the Council from a golden throne amidst the reverences and adulation of the Bishops in attendance." 2.

One of the most heretical things they forced on the rest of the Bishops was the doctrine of the Trinity and the melting of the pagan cult of Sol Invictus with Christianity for the sake of national peace!!!

3.The Trinity - What is the Trinity

The word "trinity" is a term used for the first time by Theophilus of Antioch around 180 A.D to refer to to God, his Word, and his Wisdom but in 215 A.D. Tertullian developed the word to mean that there is one God who eternally exists in co-equal essence and co-eternal communion as a unity of three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In other words, each set of persons is fully divine in nature, but each is not the totality of the other persons of the Trinity. Each has a will, loves, and says "I" and "You" when speaking. The Father is not the same person as the Son, who is not the same person as the Holy Spirit, who is not the same person as the Father. Each is divine, yet there are not three gods, but one God

The word "Trinity" comes from the Latin noun "trinitas" meaning "three in one".It is used by Tertullian in 215 A.D to refer to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Hastings Dictionary of the Bible states that”The Christian doctrine of God as existing in three Persons and one Substance is not demonstrable by logic or Scriptural proof”.2

Jesus is referred to as " substance." (homoousios). If we go to look up the word in any English dictionary,we will notice that it is a material with particular physical characteristics. But is it really true that God is a real tangible physical matter consists of three persons in one nature or being.

"The word Trinity is not found in the Bible, and, though used by Tertullian in the last decade of the 2nd century, it did not find a place formally in the theology of the Church till the 4th century.3

"It is a simple fact and an undeniable historical fact that several major doctrines that now seem central to the Christian Faith – such as the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of the nature of Christ – were not present in a full and self-defined generally accepted form until the fourth and fifth centuries. If they are essential today – as all of the orthodox creeds and confessions assert – it must be because they are true. If they are true, then they must always have been true; they cannot have become true in the fourth and fifth century. But if they are both true and essential, how can it be that the early church took centuries to formulate them?"4

"The New Testament does not contain a formalized explanation of the trinity that uses such words as trinity, three persons, one substance, and the like."5

Hastings Dictionary of the Bible declares ”The Christian doctrine of God as existing in three Persons and one Substance is not demonstrable by logic or Scriptural proof”.6

Jesus is referred to as " substance." (homoousios). If we go to look up the word in any English dictionary,we will notice that it is a material with particular physical characteristics. But is it really true that God is a real tangible physical matter consists of three persons in one

As we have seen so far,The Council of Nicaea held some responsibility for formulating the new doctrine. They expelled Arius and his followers who believed in the Oneness of God and Jesus as His Messenger from the Council. They translated the Hebrew Texts to Greek language according to their own whims and desires without leaving any trace of any Aramaic originals, which could lead us to the real authors of the Gospels and without being interrupted by their adversaries.

Cunningly enough, they exploited the ignorance of people of the Hebrew language,so they interpreted many Biblical issues according to their own whims and ideology. For example; the title'Son of God' was interpreted as the actual biological son.But if we examine the Old Testament,we will find that the title was used metaphorically to address to other Prophets and pious men before Jesus. It was an innocent term used in Jews Culture to describe a devoted servant of God.To illustrate this,,let s take these set of examples: Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus to death and he said to them:"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High."(KJV,Psalm 82:6 )..

We notice here that Jesus uses the term "gods" to refer to the Jews.If we go to the Hebrew dictionary to look up the word "gods",we will find "Elohim", which is the plural of "EL".It is,as I aforementioned above, a very innocent term and it doesn't "carries the idea of physical descent from, and essential unity with, God the Father. The Hebrew idiom conveys nothing further than a simple expression of godlikenes" 7.

So,no wonder,if Jesus was called"EL" in some verses.Isn't he a good man and one of the greatest Messengers sent by God ?:

Isaiah9:6" For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given".

Psalm 2:7 "..I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me(David), Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee."As it is clearly shown in this verse that God not only called David his "Son"but also had made him his begotten Son.Why can't the Trinitarian here to take this verse literally? What's wrong with it?isn't it from the same book, from where they take John 3:16"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." ?Why double standard and hypocricy ?It is a weak argument to prove that Allah or Jehovah came down to earth to die for our sins on the cross or claim that Jesus being God's beloved servant, makes him the only Son for God.

Exodus 4:22: "Israel is my son, even my firstborn"Here we see in this verse that Israel is not only God's son but as well his first offspring.

Luke 3:38"Adam, which was the son of God." Luke 3:38.Here Adam is son of God.Does this makes God Adam?or as in the previous verse,Jehovah Israel?does it mean that we have to worship both of them?Of course not!!The world has one ruler.

One final point in this section:as we all know Jesus promised that " If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken " John 10:36 and Peter said, that the " Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. " 1 Peter 1:23-25.But why did The Jehovah’s Witnesses state in 1957 in their Magazine "Awake" that there are 50,000 Errors in The Bible?Isn't the Bible free of error and contradiction?Aren't the translators inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit?.

The Anglican Bishop, Hugh Montefiore affirms that The Bible is not free from errors and in constant changing:

"The doctrine of biblical inerrancy seems inherently improbable, for two reasons. Firstly, the Scriptures contain what seem to be evident errors and contradictions (although great ingenuity has been applied to explain these away). Secondly, the books of the Old and New Testaments did not gain their place within the "canon", or list of approved books, as soon as they were written. The Old Testament canon was not closed until late in the Apostolic age, and the New Testament canon was not finally closed until the fourth century. If all the Bible's contents were inerrant, one would have thought that this would have become apparent within a much shorter period"8

Conversely,Dr. Shelton Smith ,the editor of the Sword Of The Lord states the Bible is "Godbreathed" and everlasting preserved :

“ God has preserved His inspired Word for us. It is preserved in the Hebrew Masoretic text and in the Greek Textus Receptus. It is also preserved for us in the English in the King James Bible. What He at first inspired, the Lord God has now preserved. Therefore, when I hold the King James Bible in my hand, I hold the inspired text. It was inspired and now that inspired Word has been protected, preserved and provided for us!”9

But which Word he is refering to?The Originals?Where is the Originals? The Christian scholars and theologians agree that the original manuscripts had been lost, only a small portions of it were existed in the third century. So,how can they trust the Hebrew and Creek translations while the fact is the “autographs” were written in Aramaic(the language which was spoken by Jesus) and how could the pastor,Jack Hyles brag about the perfectness and“ the inspired 100% Word-for-Word” of the King James Bible( “I must have every Word if I speak His message. If I didn't think I had a perfect Bible I'd close this one, walk out that door, I'd never walk in the pulpit again.”10 ) while what he held in his hand was just a copy which underwent many changes ?

Neil R. Lightfoot has affirmed this fact:

“ More than four hundred [printing] errors in the first edition of the King James Bible were corrected in a subsequent edition two years later. ... The King James translation has passed through many editions and has been modernized considerably over the years. In 1613 a new edition was issued which contained more than four hundred variations from the original printing. Countless other emendations have taken place through the centuries of its existence, so many changes that the King James reader of today would be startled by the appearance of the 1611 edition“11, How We Got the Bibleb, pp 87, 183. .Moreover, let us suppose that the KJV translators were inspired and their hands were free from errors, why in 1631 ,the new Bible edition which came into light was called the "Wicked Bible" ?The reason why, according to the Christian scholars , is because of the omission of “ Not“ from the seventh of the Ten Commandments. Here we have a printing error which inverts the meaning of the important tenet of the Christian faith. The hardest logic questions are :Why God Almighty would extend his inspiration to the new translation and cease it to be operable to the printers ? is it because simply the printing machines revolted against the printers and God had no control over machines?I think, maybe, that is what exactly had happened, the revolt of the machines like in the Terminator series !!.Why the contemporary KJV doesn't contain the apocrypha, since the original 1611 version contained it?and why did the KJV translators use marginal notes"qere" (pronounced "keh-ray") to explain certain words? If the actual English text inspired by God,there mustn t be any alternate translation possibilities.

An other point must be made clear here before moving to an other section is a thought summarized in a pamphlet produced by J.J. Ray :

“ Any version of the Bible, that does not agree with the Greek Textus Receptus, from which the King James Bible was translated in 1611, is certainly to be founded upon corrupted manuscripts.“12Historically speaking,The Greek translation was a copy of the copy( the Hebrew translation).Martin Luther King has clearly put it in a beautiful way:“If I were younger, I would want to learn this language [Hebrew], for without it one can never properly understand the Holy Scripture... For that reason they have said correctly: ‘The Jews drink out of the original spring(Aramic muniscripts), the Greeks drink out of the stream flowing out of the stream, the Latins, however, out of the puddle.’”13.Martin Luther quote from if the attempt of Philo of Alexandria ,a Hellenized Jew(c. 20 B.C.E. – 50 C.E) to make the original Greek translators of the Septuagint (LXX) go coequal with the original Hebrew version, many Jews stood against it and considered it as a heresy.

Let us have a look at the following Biblical contradictory verses to see if they could stand up to deep scrutiny and to see if Dr. Jack Hyles could still uphold the King James Bible so high:

Conflicting Verses:

1.How many fighting men did David take with him to fight his enemies

2 Samuel 8:4 says:700 horsemen "And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots"

1 Chronicles 18;4 says:7000 horsemen"And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots."

1.Who incited David to count the Israel fighters

2 Samuel 24: 1 says:Lord"And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah."

1 Chronicles 21 says:Satan"And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel."

3.Is there anyone who sees God

Gen 32:30 says:Jacob:"And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

John 1:18 says:None "No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

4.How many stalls of horses did Solomon have got

I Kings 4:26 says:40,000"And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen."

2 chronicles 9:25 says:4000"And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem."

Now,isn't it high time to admit that you were deceived for almost 2 thousand years by the Prince of the world and The King James Version couldn't escape from the collateral damage. It has undergone the same process of alterations,renderings..,like the same other versions, before and after it.If you still claim that the KJV is the only accurate version, let us have a look at the two different versions of the Acts 3:26 to see which one is the correct.

King James Version

Acts 3:26 " Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

New King James Version

Acts 3:26 " To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.

In KJV,Jesus is son of God but in NKJV,he was a servant of God.So which one is correct here? The ascribers of the KJV translated the Greek word"pais" to son and the other versions, not only the NKJV, to servant. So,how to solve the problem? The solution is very simple:Let us study the word"pais".According to the Creek language experts, the Greek word pais has many meanings depending on the context in which it is used.It could mean boy, slave,a king's attendant, male lover, servant. But in the context above means servant not son because it talks about the servitude of sons of the prophets and of covenant. It is ascertained by an other verse as in Isaiah 42:1-3:" Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.".

B.The ancient Paganism :

1.The Indian Paganism:

The circle above shows us that The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father, but three gods melting in one being. This doctrine has its roots in ancient paganism not in the inspiration of God.Here,I will address only the most salient gods to our present quest, as concisely as possible to show how much they are connected with each other in this regard.Let s take the Indian Trinity "Tri-murti which consists of Brahma(the creator) , Vishnu ( the maintainer) and Siva( transformer) .

This inseparable unity in fact causes no problem to the logic of a Hindu worshipper since they were already used to worshipping gods with the body of a man and the head of an elephant Ganesh( Lord of Success and Lord of Obstacles) or a god with thousand arms and eyes Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva and so forth.

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, with his one thousand arms and eyes, portrayed in different cultures as either male or female.

2.The ancient Egyptians:

The ancient Egyptians also had Trinity in the same way as it is stated in Christianity. They believe, just as the Christians,in One infinite God, Almighty, and Creator but they added a sophisticated and ambiguous concept of trinity with the unity of God. Dr. Draper stated The myth of the Osiris-Isis-Horus has inspired and influenced so much Christianity : "Views of the Trinity, in accordance with Egyptian tradition, were established. Not only was the adoration of Isis under a new name restored, but even her image standing on the crescent moon reappeared. The well-known effigy of that goddess, with the infant Horus in her arms, has descended to our days in the beautiful artistic creations of the Madonna and Child."14

Mrs. Besant believes that Christianity originally comes from Egypt: "It grew out of Egypt; its gospels came from thence [Alexandria]; its ceremonies were learned there; its Virgin is Isis; its Christ, Osiris and Horus."15. Barbara G. Walker says in The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets:

“Of all savior-gods worshipped at the beginning of the Christian era, Osiris may have contributed more details to the evolving Christ figure than any other. Already very old in Egypt, Osiris was identified with nearly every other Egyptian god and was on the way to absorbing them all. He had well over 200 divine names. He was called Lord of lords, King of kings, God of gods. He was the Resurrection and the Life, the Good Shepherd, the God who made men and women to be born again. From First to Last, Osiris was to the Egyptians “the god-man” who suffered, and died, and rose again, and reigned eternally in heaven. They believed that they would inherit eternal life, just as he had done.”16

Osiris, god of god of firtility and water as well as god of resurrection, afterlife and underworld, is the father of the begotten son Horus and the husband of his sister Isis.According to legend, Osiris was tricked and drowned in a trunk by his jealous brother, Seth.It has been narrated that(Seth) had a beautiful wooden chest made to Osiris' exact measurements,He promised that it would belong to whoever it fit best, somehow, like cindrella shoes story. He invented Osiris to a great feast. Each guest admired it and desired to have it.Everyone failed to fit the size till it suits Osiris. As soon as he got inside.Seth and his accomplices nailed the lid shut, poured molten lead over it to seal the cracks and then threw it into the Nile.Isis after a long search ,she found the Osiris's body washed up on shore, and she returned him alive to Egypt . However, Seth, seething in anger, he killed once again Osiris, this time by tearing the corpse into 14 pieces, and flung the fragments all over the land. But the dismembered body of Osiris was reassembled by his wife, except the male member, but according to the the Egyptian Hymn to Osiris from Dynasty 18 ,she " made a replica of the member to take its place, and consecrated the phallus, in honour of which the Egyptians even at the present day celebrate a festival in Egypt"17.According to Plutarch, she had already bore Horus, but according to Josph McCabe, a Catholic priest Isis was" originally a virgin,or perhaps sexless Goddess and and in the later period of Egyptian religion she was again considered a virgin goddess, demanding very strict abstinence from her devotees"18. However,What it has been ascertained is that,Horus" with the span of time was himself an aspect of Ra,(great solar god )"19 and his birthday was on the December 25th,annually celebrated in temples and also Isis, with the help of Anubis( God of Embalming),resurrected him with the Ritual of Life, which was later given to the Egyptians so that they could give eternal life to all their dead. Those Ritual of life are written in hieratic script on a papyrus scroll. They are gathered in a book called The Book Of The Dead or the "Book of Coming Forth by Day" as some Archeologists like to call it..

However,to avenge his father,Horus flew into the sky in the form of a winged sun disc"beyond the flight of the original bird-soul, beyond the stars (the "gods of Nut") and all the divinities of olden time whose souls inhabit the constellations" 20to bring light to the dark world below. From the sky ,he saw all his enemies and he swooped down like a falcon, attacking and killing them one by one until he fought Seth, his uncle, and defeated them.

What we can draw from this legend is that there is strong similarities between ancient Egyptian Ausar/Auset/Heru (Osiris/Isis/Horus) and the Gospel story of Jesus.I will try to display them below:

3.Similarities between ancient egyptian religion and Christianity:

3.1. Sun Symbol :

Osiris and Horus were solar dieties; The former as a representative for the setting sun,the latter as a representative for the rising sun.Jimmy Dunn says " Horus was the god of the rising and setting sun, but more particularly the god of the east and the sunrise."21.

Budge says "The Eye of Horus has generally been regarded as a solar, lunar, and ornithological symbol because Horus was a solar and lunar deity with the head and, often, body of a hawk"22

The coming of Jesus is the rising Sun to set up the Kingdom of God on earth"Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring(RISING SUN) to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?. It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken."(Job 38:12-15) ," For the LORD God is a sun and shield "( Psalm 84:11 )and the morning star"We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts" and" We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts "( 2 Peter 1:19-21)

The pharoah ,who had super power ensured that the sun would rise each morning after its nightly vanishing act.In the same way,Jesus ensured that "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall "Malachi 4:2.

The pharoah also was seen as the living earthly incarnation of god Horus. In the same way, Jesus, was seen as the incarnation of his heavenly Father.

3.2.Lamb of God :

Horus was the lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. In an article in the Biblical Archaeology Review (5-6/00) entitled, "What's an Egyptian Temple Doing in Jerusalem?" Gabriel Barkay believed that Osiris incarnated as a human savior who died and was resurrected for the good of mankind:

"Osiris has a human development. He is God in heaven and hell, but once appeared as man on earth. He is one of the Saviours or Deliverers of Humanity, to be found in almost all lands. As such, he is born into the world. He came, as a benefactor, to relieve man of trouble, to supply his wants. In his efforts to do good, he encounters evil. He is killed. Osiris is buried. His tomb was the object of pilgrimage for thousands of years. But he did not rest in his grave. At the end of three days, or forty, he rose again, and ascended of heaven."23

3.3.Birth :

Horus is heralded by the star Siruis,Morning Star.

Jesus is heralded by the star in the east.

3.4.Birth witnesses:

Both of them were witnessed by shepherds.

3.4.Death threat during childhood:

Herut tried to kill Horus.

Herod tried to kill Jesus.

3.5. Dealing with the threat:

god Thoth, the great god, said unto Isis to hide in a safe place:"Come now, O Isis, thou goddess, moreover it is a good thing to hearken, 2 [for there is] life to one who shall be guided [by the advice] of another. Hide thou thyself with [thy] son the child,"24.

An angel told the Jesus'foster father:"Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life."Matthew 2:20.

3.6.Horus s adversary was "Set". Jesus' adversary was "Satan".

3.7.Mythical figure:"The Christian myths were first related of Horus or Osiris, who was the embodiment of divine goodness, wisdom, truth and purity...This was the greatest hero that ever lived in the mind of man -- not in the flesh -- the only hero to whom the miracles were natural because he was not human." Gerald Massey, author of "The Natural Genesis," Gerald Massey, "The Natural Genesis," Black Classic Press, (Reissued 1998).25.

3.8.Empty period of events in a personal life:

No events or data between ages 12 and 30.

3.9.Main role:

Both of them were saviors of humanity.

Both of them had 12 disciples.

3.11.Temptation and its results:

Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain by Set or sut(Satan )

Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up high a mountain. Both of them succeeded to risist and defy the gravity.

3.12.Way of death,Burial and Resurrection:

Both of them were crucified, buried in a tomb, descended into hell and finally, resurrected after 3 days.

3.13.Book of the dead and Bible:

" Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." - Horus, (Book of the Dead, Ch. 173)26.

Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

"Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once." - Jesus, (John 13:31-32)

John 8:12 (King James Version) When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world." (the Sun)

Matthew 17:2 (King James Version) And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

The Old Testament also talks about God as being the Sun

Psalm 84:11 (King James Version) For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

"I am the possessor of bread in Anu,I have bread with Ra in heaven" "The Ritual: The Egyptian Book of the Dead."27

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven"John 6:51

3.15.Getting closer to God by dancing:

In the Hall of Offerings,There is a hymn, translated by H. Junker, written on a wall at Dendera Temple, celebrating the taming of the lioness:

The King, Pharaoh, comes to dance,
He comes to sing;
Mistress, see the dancing,
Wife of Horus, see the skipping!

He offers it to you,
This jug;
Mistress, see the dancing,
Wife of Horus, see the skipping!

His heart is straight, his inmost open,
No darkness is in his breast;
Mistress, see the dancing,
Wife of Horus, see the skipping! 28

Similarly, Christ is celebrated as “Lord of the Dance” in the Middle Ages a Christmas and in the late 18th and early 19th C,The Shakers, a small religious group, had a form of worship which was completely a dance.

The Biblical David himself danced before the ark of the Covenant in the Temple "And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart." (I Chron, 15:29) and Miriam and the Israelites sang and danced on the far shore of the Red Sea as a best way of getting closer to God.

3.16. Creation of the earth:

A Christian Egyptologist Budge translates a hymn to Osiris from the 18th Dynasty (1570-1070 bce) :

" Thou hast made this earth by thy hand, and the waters thereof, and the wind thereof, the herb thereof, all the cattle thereof, all the winged fowl thereof, all the fish thereof, all the creeping things thereof, and all the four-footed beasts thereof."29.

The similarities between this passage as translated and the biblical creation account written centuries later are striking. In Genesis (1:24), "God" creates the earth and says:

"Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds; cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds."

It is not surprising that Genesis and other biblical texts, concepts and stories are largely Egyptian in origin, especially since Israel and Egypt are in such proximity. The historical, literary and archaeological evidence of the influence of Egypt on the Levant is abundant and includes the presence of Osiris in Israel..

The early Christians,in the second century onward, warned the believers to be careful of the traditions of men and probably Satan had plagiarized Christianity by anticipation in order to mislead people.know that the sun of God would come and walk on earth,The Satan copied the Story of Jesus and created the myths of Osiris-Dionysus in advance. The Church father Tertullian writes:

The devil, whose business is to pervert the truth, mimics the exact circumstances of the Divine Sacraments. He baptizes his believers and promises forgiveness of sins from the Sacred Fount, and thereby initiates them into the religion of Mithras. Thus he celebrates the oblation of bread, and brings in the symbol of the resurrection. Let us therefore acknowledge the craftiness of the devil, who copies certain things of those that be Divine 30

In a nutshell, the Bible is corrupted ,edited, altered and far away from the truth. This is not only my opinion as we have seen, but the Christian theologians, scholars and researchers. As intelligent readers and truth seekers,we must not take everything for granted. It is not always what we inherit from parents are the truth. We must use our minds and drop away the prejudgments if we want to know the truth.

A lot of interesting information and links in the footnote section. I also like the unbiased manner in which this article was written. Underscoring the facts instead of promoting any particular religion. Bookmarked for future reference. Thank you for sharing and putting the data in one place.:) Have a nice day.

Well,In your first comment above, you based your argument on the Bible,I didn't say anything.I just let it go..but let me tell you something. The Bible scientifically is not accountable, because the original manuscripts is lost according to the Christian scholars and theologians .My argument wasnt not based on the Quranic perceptions.I was talking academically and why should I bother myself to state verses from Quran to convince those who dont believe in Islam ??

      2. Diop was politically against colonialism. He tried to prove that original people of Africa were black. So,the whole continent belongs to Blacks. He based his theory on race. That is why he was charged by Acadamic detractors with racism. My friend ,sorry to say ,much of his work has a strong race-flavored tint.Academically talking,.1.Diop supported his arguments with references to ancient authors such as Herodotus and Strabo. For example, when Herodotus wished to argue that the Colchian people were related to the Egyptians, he said that the Colchians were black, with curly hair .Diop used statements by these writers to illustrate his theory that the ancient Egyptians had the same physical traits as modern black Africans (skin colour, hair type). That is academically rejected cause those were just stereotypes which empowered the Creek supremacy .2. He did not publish his work in subject-specific journals with an independent editorial board that practiced the system of peer review. He declined to seek the opinion of other scholars and answer their criticism, although this is the normal procedure in academic debate. His research has become under-regarded because he did not accept this academic discipline.(this second point is taken from: Froment, Alain Origine et évolution de l'homme dans la pensée de Cheikh Anta Diop: une analyse critique Cahiers d'Études Africaines Vol. 31, Cahier 121/122 (1991), pp. 29-64 @ p. 31)

Not racially Black??? Whites with Black skins theory was discredited 30 years ago. You need to study Cheikh Anta Diop the Senegalese Anthropologist. I just explained to you that whites did not enter Egypt as rulers until late in the game. I have been to Egypt and there are plenty of Egyptians that look like me. The white Arabs are invaders. But believe what you will. You don't know the Bible or history. You really don't have a clue...

Well.First of all, thanks for you input. It is really very interesting. In your comment you mentioned many things which I dont agree with:

      1. Ancient Egyptians portrayed themselves with different skin color tone, but Egyptians with dark skin color were not racially Black, but Caucasians with dark color.look at the picture below…

2.Jesus is not the biological son of God.Ok that s right but the literal one.You missed the point when I was talking about the false translation of the term Son of God from Hebrew to Creek.

3.I didntt depend on the Holy QURAN in my research .

4.Why do you call him Jesus instead of Immanuel.

      5. The real name of Jesus is Issa ,according to his mother-tongue , Aramaic.

6.You said : Jesus said he will return and He fulfilled every prophesy in the Bible that was written of Him.

All prophecies are fulfilled according to Mathew chapter 24:

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The verse would mean that the end of time prophecies (Jesus his second coming and the raising of the death back to life) should occur during the first century (in the time of the generation to which Jesus spoke in the bible).Dont tell me what doesnt the Bible state.

      With much respect.

Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD. Genesis 4:26

If the Table of Nations can be believed which I do, then the first "Egyptians" (this name Egyptian is Greek for the original people in this land of Kemet) were Blacks descended from Kush. The name Seth itself is from the root word Set or Seti, son of Rameses I, Pharoah of the New Kingdom or 19th. Dynasty. Seti means "eternal is the justice of Ra. Ta-Seti, another name for Kush means "land of the Bow". Accordingly Black Pharoahs were the first to call themselves "sons of God" (Ra). The last Black Dynasty was the 25th. The 26th. Dynasty, an Asian puppet dynasty was installed by the Assyrians to undermine the power of the Blacks. Egyptian History after the 25th. is the history of interlopers and invaders. The whites (the Ptolemies) were the last to sit on the throne of Egypt. Arabs never ruled Egypt in ancient times. So, a lot what you right is interesting but not altogether correct. When you say that Christians teach that Jesus is the "biological son of God" you err. Christians don't teach that at all. The Holy Spirit of God indwelt Jesus who in essence became Immanuel or God with Us. Jesus said when you have seen Him you have seen the Father, meaning His purpose could not be separated from the Father. Muslims and many many others can't conceive that God would desire fellowship and intimacy with His Creation. By believing this you place limits on the God of Creation and in so doing you limit your understanding and relationship with Him. Prov 3:5,7a (NIV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.... Do not be wise in your own eyes.

Jesus said he will return and He fulfilled every prophesy in the Bible that was written of Him. Besides the writing of the Koran was 600 years behind the writing of the Old Testament. I would rather believe that the chicken came before the egg... His in Service

Sorry which exile are you referring to: Babylonian,When he run from Egypt because of murder during pharaoh times or Mount Sinai?

The Church of Egypt during the 1 Council was so strong and it was hard to tame and their ideas and thoughts were influenced by the Egyptian s Mythology and easily accepted in the middle east and within Roman empire, since they are pagans.

Now.I want you to see Obelisks in Wachinton DC ,Vatican and Egypt.Do you see any similarity?

James, I already knew about the councils and how they messed everything up to begin with. I also knew about Horus and such and how Egypt was the precursor to the Jewish religion. I read all about Moses and how he was kicked out of Egypt because he killed a slave owner and then he went into exile for those many years. Egypt had laws and that you could be exiled for just thinking about doing them wrong. I find it amazing that Moses came out of that exile with the Ten Commandments............they are very similar if not the exact same as the laws of Egypt. So many similarities it is astonishing.

The thing that gets me is that the 3rd commandment states do not bear false witness................that is OK, but when Christianity *borrowed* the story of Genesis from the summarians and other peoples and then turned around and told those peoples they were lying.........well it is o wonder christianity is getting it's just desserts. What goes around comes around. What you sow you shall reap. They also stole a lot of Pagan Customs so they would get more followers................still stealing and lying and bearing false witness. I read in the Catholic Doctrine many years ago that they are to keep their people in the dark at all costs.....I never set foot in a church again.

This is the Christianity section Not the place for islam trash.

sorry this whole article is garbage needs to be trashed. the koran is the work of satan written by an idiot. It sneaky the way you use the scriptures but you cannot compare my God to the godless allah.

As to an open mind-- it a good way to let your brains fall out.

Christians that read this need to read the rest of the koran and then you can see allah is the devil not God (Jesus)

Why the concept is complicated?why God Almighty has to take the difficult road to present himself? Many Christians are puzzled by the question:why Paul, the founder of Christianity, the writer of half the NT, almost never quotes Jesus in his letters and writings?

Moreover,a true Jew would have immediately recognized the teaching of Jesus as a reaffirmation of what Moses had taught. To the common people of Greece, any description of Jesus must have seemed like a description of one of their gods, and they were probably quite ready to accept Jesus in this capacity. There was always room for one more god. However, the actual teaching of Jesus negated all their gods, since it affirmed the Divine Unity

Wow James- this is epic! I have to teach the concept of the Trinity to kids and they find it really hard to grasp. In the end I usually end up saying " You don't have to understand it you just have to understand that this is what most Christians believe. Interesting comments on St Paul- I have never liked him. A lot of the negative Christian teachings come straight from Paul- he didn't even know Jesus and persecuted Christians for long enough- I think Jesus would be horrified by a lot of Paul's teachings.

Also very interesting about the Horus parallels- my Dad has mentioned something like this to me before- he watches all the documentaries and loves anything that proves Christianity wrong ;) Apparently they found an ancient Syrian Wedding song, pre-dating Christianity that was very similar to the Song of Songs from the Bible too- Fascinating stuff! Voted up
