Sorry God, I forgot to water my cactus.

Updated on December 19, 2011

God doesn't forget about us!

(I wrote this back when I was racing motocross....and this being the reason for references to motocross!)

I’m not big into plants, but I really like Cacti. They’re so tough and all, you know? Well, I had this idea to grow some from seeds. I thought, put a few seeds in some dirt and water, then in a few days they would start to sprout. Come to find out, it can take several weeks or even several months for anything to happen.

A month went by and still no results so I pretty much just lost hope and forgot about them after that. About a week and a half later my brother noticed one of the seeds was now a half inch tall cactus! What does this have to do with motocross? Nothing, but GOD did show me something.

You know when you ask GOD for something and then a few weeks go by or even months? Well, HE hasn’t forgotten about you. HE never will. HIS answer will come, not always when we want it, but in HIS time. I had lost hope in my cactus seeds and just stopped working on them. GOD is so merciful that even though we might forget or even stop bothering about something, GOD might just surprise you with the answer!

So the next time you ask GOD for something, don’t lose hope because GOD is there. Sometimes the answer is not what we want to hear but GOD knows what’s best. After all, HE is GOD!

GOD bless ya,-Race hard, Witness Harder!

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Patience is something that grows along with wisdom. Wisdom accompanies the realization that God is there, but His timing is not subject to our will.
