Special surroundings

Surroundings are close to your home

Special surroundings in your environment are sometimes ignored.

If you make it special it would be just that to you.

What are your special surroundings?

You can have many choices in life, but only a few can be a special part of you.

I have many beautiful surroundings and found a peaceful place where I can experience the greater sense of beauty.

Sometimes people take too much in life for granted and don't take time to enjoy their surroundings.

If you are the kind who enjoys an adventurous life, the outdoor kind of life.

You would definitely see life from a different perspective.

Summer in Croatia lasts for five and a half months, there is so much I want to do to when outdoors and when out about rather than sitting indoors.

I know when winter arrives I won't have this special experience, off-course it would be a different atmosphere, with snow, cold, rain, and dull weather.

That too can be special, though the warmer time of year is the best to for me.

My garden of herbs, the newly planted tomato plants with a good production of tomatoes, and the onion plants have taken on well.

We planted onions in November last year and now have good quality onions.

The big purple kind of onions is my best type of onions.

I am not the one with green fingers, my other better half gets the credit for that part of the garden.

Planting our own vegetables allows us to appreciate what we have even more.

Just a bit of each kind and to watch them grow and look forward to having something of our own fruit and vegetables is greatly appreciated.

The freshly picked and cooked vegetables and, with a tender taste of greens.

I have Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, and three kinds of Basil.

I only recently found out about the original flavor of hybrid basil and so pleased to have the hybrids of Basil herbs.

The purple Basil, Sweet Basil, and Greek Basil, or Holy Basil have unique aromas.
I use all three in my daily cooking, including, Mint, Rosemary, Thyme. An excellent selection of herbs to make a difference in the tastes of foods, which can be used in many cuisines.

New ideas come up when viewing special surroundings.

So how can you actually get enough from daily surroundings?
You tend to forget what is around you from your daily busy schedules.

What you need to do is take time out and relax. Life is what you make of it.

There is no sense in complaining day after day if you don't make things right for yourself.

Let go and let be
Modern technology has taken over many lives from day to day.

Sitting at computers, the use of mobile phones, and iPods.

The fact that not many people can't live without these devices it not only makes the normal conversation less enjoyable, also it can ruin a part of oneself.

Don't close your eyes to the image of your environment it is the time for you to see how much nature has to offer.

Time flies by so make the most of what you have not of what you should, or could have had. The present is the time to be at peace in your mind.

Forget about yesterday that is history, focus on now and tomorrow is a mystery.

The fresh morning breeze on a spring or summer morning starts my day with a great feeling of peace and tranquility.

The view from our place to a much further detailed outlook is of the tall green Cyprus trees.

In between the sight of trees and the mountains are the nearby houses of the local villages.

Private and quiet in the day allows me time to think and to be free.

In living, the laid back-lifestyle is such a wonder. Not many people get that chance to get away from their frenzied lifestyle and to live a much slower kind of lifestyle.

Don't you wish to get away from it all, from the Blackberry, iPods, mobile phones, and computers to be out of that rush of life?

When you take a break and think of how much you are missing out in life, you learn to appreciate life on a much higher level of happiness.

Try to do as less as possible, don't multitask to get things done, take your time.

Do the most important chores on your list and take each day as it comes.

Practice makes perfect, so the more you practice this as a daily habit it becomes part of you.

Remember life without the Internet!

The time when families communicated regularly and understood each other. In many families, it is rare to have a conversation without any device attached to one's ear or waistline.

The main focus should be on people and life.
Nature is a beautiful part of life if you let it into your life. Outdoor life is much more enjoyable and with curious minds, you can discover many new observations.

Look around you don' t neglect what life has for you.

Eat properly and much slower.

Chew your food thoroughly. Avoid piling all up on your plate and eating in a rush to get somewhere.

Avoid answering messages or sitting at the computer while eating.

While driving goes slower, observe what is around.

You will notice things you haven't seen before, only because you are cruising along the roadway.

You can find pleasure in anything you do.

You would be amazed at how you can seek the kind of pleasure you don't have in you.

Breath peacefully, you will feel less-stressful. In inhaling deeply now and again, you would feel a relief in your daily activities.

Do you take the time-out?

How much of your surroundings is noticed on a daily basis?

What is your outlook on life?

How do you estimate your life?

Do you value your days?

Are you seeing life with a more positive mind?

You can only be happy if your life is balanced with happiness, good health, and with great successes.

What makes your life glorious?
Surroundings make the man happier and fulfilled and in having a greater effect on a person's moods.

Positive people make positive surroundings.

You shouldn't blame your earth for the way it looks as thinking shows the meaning of life.

The environment changes the life but doesn't rule life.

Find the inner you from your surroundings.

My countryside has lots to offer, the fruit trees, seasonal vegetables, and unique flavors of herbs makes it extra special.

Why have a big garden if you have nothing to plant and show for it?

Nobody chooses how they are raised there is no choice in the matter.

It is about the way one is raised that allows you to greater expectations from all surroundings.

Great landscapes make surroundings most attractive and natural indeed.

I have several types of herbs, and the new season of fruit and vegetables that I look forward to eating daily is a healthy way of life for us.

My lovely flower garden and vegetable garden with parts of a view from my house, with a fantastic view of the old mysterious castle, built in the sixteenth century.

Without the natural wonders of life, our surroundings don't mean much to us.

Life is about fun and laughing don't everything to heart. Special surroundings make us realize how beautiful nature is.

CraftytotheCore you know the rosemary plant is such an old herb next to the garlic herb and I ma amazed by how it grows throughout the winter, I have Thyme as well now is flowering and is also one of my favorite herbs. I pick all three Basil herbs, some mint , rosemary and thyme sometimes bay leaves as well to cook with and then I add my fresh garlic, black pepper, origamo, red paprika powder and lots of other spices to cook with, I like aniseed and cloves, I enjoy spicy foods and a little of each works wonders. Fresh and dried spices make a good sauce with cooking. Tanks very much for sharing your views on my Special Surroundings.

Beautiful words of insight! I love the photos of your garden plants. We have a herb garden on the side of the house with a gigantic rosemary plant. I cut a few stems off for roast pork every now and then. Last weekend I made a delicious chicken with some rosemary. We also have a huge veggie garden. Sadly to my health this year we were unable to get it planted in time. There was too much rain and it would have washed away any seeds I would have planted any way. There's always next year.
