Go to church!!
There is a popular ideology rising among believers of Jesus Christ that organized religion is an antiquated concept, and we really only need to have an internal relationship with him.
I say if you believe that religion cannot be organized then you believe God is not organized. The one true being in existence that created the universe and all of the inhabitants therein, the sun, the moon, and the stars. He set the planets in motion and caused the light to shine out of the darkness, and created numerous worlds of which we know nothing about and haven't even begun to discover.
By his command the children of Israel built a temple to perform sacrifice and give praise to him for all that he has done, to honor the Sabbath day by gathering together and learning of his precepts. And now in this day we are commanded to partake of his Sabbath by being baptized and entering into sacred covenants, to have his spirit to be with us always. And oh how we need that blessing in this day and age!
One of the greatest challenges in life is to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, for when we offend it's nature or ignore it's call, the spirit of the Lord is grieved and recoils in offence. The Holy Spirit now being gone from that man leaves him to wander through life and to kick against the pricks until he is ready to get on his knees and offer up supplication to the Lord.
And how can we renew those covenants which we entered into at baptism accept we receive his sacrament? Thus the holy mountain of the Lord, as so eloquently put by Isaiah, is the gateway to the building up of the human spirit.
There is nothing that would delight the secular world more than to shut up the gates of heaven and cause the outward beliefs of the religious to be silenced into an insignificant and ineffective personal concept that would cause the dependency of mankind to lean solely on the power of the State rather than the powers of our father in heaven. Likewise the devices of Satan, the adversary, would have a world full of agnostics who hold to a benign, do nothing faith.
Throughout the scriptures the Lord has commanded his children to build up his kingdom on Earth, not to diminish it. He has given his priesthood to the faithful with the expectation that they use it for the purpose of building churches and temples, for administering to the sick, to bless, anoint, and heal. Not simply to read the books of prophecy and commandment as a set of guidelines to be held as something long ago given and done, as though God were dead, but to be actively engaged in this great living work that he has set for us to do.
