Stand firm

Updated on December 19, 2011

Live for Christ 100% unashamed

(I wrote this back when I was racing motocross....and this being the reason for references to motocross!)

You know, we’re on this earth for a very short time when you compare it to eternity. GOD has given us this time to, if we are willing, share the truth with others. What are we doing with our time? Do we take the time to read his word and go to church, or do we find ourselves too busy doing other stuff? In this busy world it’s easy to get caught up in “stuff’. GOD wants us to keep him first, always, and man, things will just go so much better if we do put him above all.

We also need to stand firm in his ways. I still struggle a lot when it comes to speaking up and standing for the truth. Sometimes it seems easier to just back away from certain conversations or situations for fear of ridicule, but as Christians we have the truth inside us that the world is in need of. While we need to execute wisdom when and how we speak to others, we’ve got to have a good foundation of the word. The more I read the bible, the easier it gets to stand up for righteousness. I used to be embarrassed to even wear something like the Christian Motocross Club jerseys at my local practice track, but now I just want to wear them everywhere I race and ride.

GOD is still working on me and even though I mess up more often than I’d care to admit, HE is right there to help me. My prayer is that I would never put anything before GOD and to stand firm on his word no matter what. I’m gonna stand firm. How about you?

GOD bless you all. Race wide open-Witness wide open!

Simon

When we keep our eyes focused on Him, it is easier to take a stand. I agree...our time is short compared to Eternity and one day, we will have to give an account for what we did with the time that was gifted to us...here on earth. I am thankful, for the propituation that was paid for our sins, that we are forgiven. I'm on the same page:)
