Sunday Morning Church
On Sunday moring in Church one of the Bible readings was from 2nd. Peter chap.1 v3-12. and while it was being read I had a strong feeling to write about it, so here it is as I wanted to share my writing with you.
Living as the Lords followers, do you have what it takes to 'make it in life?'
You may say yes I do, I have a good job, a loving wife and family, our home is one of the best in our street, we have money put away, we have a good car, what more do I need?
Well to answer that do you have God in your life?
You can say you have everything in life what more do I need? and you say that yoiu are very happy with what you have, you say you love your sport and you love your family and everything you own.
BUT! aren't you missing something? why don't you have God, so where does that leave you?
If you don't have Jesus in your life, all those things that you have and enjoy you have nothing as they will pass away.
Jesus said that when you seek the Kingdom of Heaven all the other things will be added unto you.
So, when you put Jesus Christ first, then you can enjoy all that follows.
We have everything we need to live our life that pleases God, as it is given to us by God's own power.
When we learn to invite Him in to our life.
God has made great promises for you and me so that He will be part of our lives and we be part of His life.
Then we can escape the evil and corrupt influences of this world.
You need to improve your faith, to do this by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, and devotion to God.
You need to keep growing this way to show that you are learning more about our Lord Jesus Christ, because our lives are to show that we are useful and meaningful in helping others.
If you don't grow from hearing you will be like some one who is near sighted or blind, and you have forgotten that Jesus can forgive you of your sins.
So if you don't grow from hearing and giving devotion to God, you will miss out on what God has promised you, you need to do all you can, and by doing your best, to show that God has really chosen and seleted you, you are to hold firmly to the truth that has been given you.
Then the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you a glorious welcome into His Kingdom that will last forever.
