Take Route 66 ... It will never lead you astray!

Updated on May 22, 2017

Route 66

There is a Route 66 and it certainly is somewhat famous. It was a highway completed in 1926 that connected the Midwest to the California coast. It stretched nearly 2,500 miles and basically went from the Chicago area to the Los Angeles area. It weaved its way through the Midwest then to the southwest and ultimately to the pacific coast. Only this is not the Route 66 that I am referring to. The reference is for the 66 books of the Bible. This is a map for our life, an instruction manual if you will. The message and messages that exist in the Bible are ones that I believe indeed are from God and in fact exemplify the kind of person that God wants us to strive to be. We certainly have the very best teacher in Jesus. He teaches us by His love. It is a blessing among blessings that we have the Bible.

So what route will you take? Taking the route that the world suggests will ultimately lead to sorrow, destruction, pain and despair. The biggest problem being the lack of hope. We need to understand and manifest the route which God wants us to take. It is a journey that truly is the road less travelled. Yet it is a road that God makes possible for us to follow.

The best part being what potentially awaits for all of us at the end of this life journey. Eternal hope, eternal life and an inconceivable eternal paradise. Once again that is the incredible love and incredible grace on display by our Lord.

So we need to try to travel on Route 66 and let God lead us to where He wants us to be in every sense. His way is the right way and His course is the right course. Let us follow Him and He will indeed never lead us astray but rather will lead us to paradise. The salvation of God is truly amazing. Consider the Bible. Consider the parables and what Jesus is teaching through them. Consider the Be Attitudes and the way God wants us to treat one another. Consider the Ten Commandments and the structure and attitude to live our lives. All of it is right there in our life manual, the Bible.

Here are some verses regarding God's Word in the Bible: Thanks be to God in Heaven

Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for re proof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Ephesians 6:17 and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."

Jeremiah 23:29 " Is not My word like a fire?" says the Lord, " And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces."

God bless always.
