Radio Broadcasts

Radio broadcasts are excellent. I love hearing other Ministers preach the gospel on the radio. I also enjoy listening to the choirs sing God's praises. Only problem with that is the time slots are too short. Most services I've had the pleasure of listening to, were about 15-30 minutes long. My the time the Holy Spirit came to visit, it was on to the next broadcast.

Now I do understand that the church has to pay for its time on the radio. With this economy we need more air time. Cutting the Gospel short for the sake of finances is like serving the veggies and potatoes without the main course, the meat. These short radio broadcasts leave many unfulfilled.

Many broadcasts via television or radio offers a prayer request line. And I have put some of them to the test. You know there are people in an office like setting with their own telephone consoles, computers, and desks. When a caller comes in, they ask specific questions to understand your prayer needs. No problem with that...They need to know...However, the prayers sounded rehearsed to me. They quickly rush through the prayer, leaving me wondering, "what in the world did they say?" I left the prayer line more confused more than before. Thank God I have a relationship with him. Therefore, I can come to God myself.

But everyone needs someone to touch and agree with in prayer. Jesus teaches is that as long as there are two or three gathered in his name, touching and agreeing, there he is in the midst. Prayer is powerful when there is two or three in agreement. I will never discourage prayer using more that two people either...However, these prayer lines have many other people to pray for. Therefore they do not treat you as high priority. You are priority when you are on the call, but if you need serious prayer and counsel, your questions has to be limited.

I don't know about any of you, but if my soul is in trouble, or I just need spiritual advice, I don't want to be rushed. For this reason, church services, prayer requests, bible studies, and Christian counseling is my goal via telephone. These services are free to join in. All you have to do is pick up the phone and dial in.

Church VIA Telephone

 Hello Everybody,

You all know that the Bible teaches us all to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through out all nations. Many people want to do so, but have no means to accomplish ministry in this perspective. The internet is one way to satisfy this ministry. Although the internet is a valuable tool to reach millions, telephone contact can touch people on a personal level.

Many people I have had the pleasure of meeting could not physically go to church due to illness or distance too far to travel. More people said they would go to church often if the location was local. As for me, I wanted to go to a specific church, but that would have caused me to relocate down south, and I am from NEW JERSEY.

There was absolutely no way that I could have made that move. I am an Apostle of the Lord's Church and couldn't uproot my congregation. They have present obligations and lifestyles that required their time and stability here in Atlantic City. Knowing this, it would have been a selfish move on my behalf to subject them to this move.

There have been many people I have met via internet that longed to fellowship with me in my church. Most have become members of it. The biggest problem with online ministry is, I have to spend extra time coming up with power point presentations. This becomes more of a bible study teaching than an actual worship service.

There was one lady that wanted to fellowship with me but couldn't because of distance and my church wasn't handicap accessible. I completely understood her position. Since the property I currently rent will not permit me to do any construction to accommodate such, I've decided to have services via telephone.
