Thank you .... That does not even begin to cover it!
Thank you. Does not really capture it at all. It is a nice sentiment but I really do not think that thank you even begins to cover it. Not even close really. He died for each and every one of us so that our sin does not separate us from God. How do you thank someone for saving your life? Your eternal life. He saved me. He saved you. A wretch like me and He saved me any way. I will always wonder to myself why does He love me so much? I cannot answer that one but suffice it to say that He does indeed love me and I feel it each and every day. I know that I do not deserve the salvation that He alone provides. When you have Jesus in your life you will always have hope. It is the hope of an eternity spent with Him in Heaven. Do you realize how much He loves you? It is downright enormous. He loves us so much that He went to the cross to take our sin away from us. He fulfills all of the scripture and all of the prophesy and He provides the way for us to gain eternal bliss in Heaven. God's love is without a doubt the greatest love that exists. So, we need to have an attitude of gratitude.
The Apostle Paul writes about faith, hope and love and he says the greatest of these is love. God's agape love is the greatest love you will ever experience. It is far beyond what we could ever imagine or even comprehend. What will you do with this tremendous gift? Will you accept it? So we need to thank Him and say daily prayers of thanks for His goodness and His love. It is His glory and majesty which lead us to salvation. Here are some verses in the bible about thankfulness:
Psalm107:1 Oh, give thanks to The Lord for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and Bless His name.
Psalm 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
1Chronicles 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of your own we have given you.
Philemon 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward The Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in You in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
God bless always.
