The 10 Most Reported Signs of Abduction

Updated on April 18, 2013

They Are Coming

Alien abductions seem to be one of the biggest and most controversial elements of UFO cases. People taken from their homes, their cars, and really any random place they happen to be when the aliens arrive. It is a scary thought but one we as UFO researchers must look very deeply into if we are ever to truly understand what is going on.

Abduction cases are rare and in most situations we can easily disprove the claims but there are a number of well noted cases in which no such dispute could be made. Travis Walton, Betty and Barney Hill are prime examples of this such phenomena.

Alien Encounters

Close encounters usually begin with the victim being circled by alien life forms.

The Travis Walton Story

The Signs Are Everywhere

Signs of alien abduction vary from case to case but there are a few that seem to be regulated in each case of alien abduction. These signs are what we as researchers look for in determining just what we are dealing with. These signs can be claimed by anyone so we need to look at each case with extreme scrutiny.

So let's look at each sign of abduction and evaluate how we can use these facts to prove or disprove a UFO case.

1.Inability to account for periods of time

This is one of those signs that seem to scare the person experiencing them more than the idea of aliens touching them does. Many abductees report hours or even days that they have no recollection of. Again I point to the Travis Walton case. He was gone for several days but to him it just seemed like a few hours.

This loss of time is often recollected after hypnotherapy. It is only then that we start to see the full picture of where that time went.

2.Persistent nightmares, or dreams regarding aliens and UFOs

Again this sign could simply be nothing related to a UFO abduction case. Some abductees experience vivid re-occuring dreams about their experience on an alien craft. These dreams often have more detail than the typical dream and will often leave the victim shook and confused. They make reality seem to blurr with the dream.

3. Sleep Disorder

Most, but not all alien abductees start to experience moments of extreme tiredness or the opposite a profound ability to stay awake. This imposed insomnia is often related to the nightmares brought on by an alien abduction.

4. Waking up with unusual body sensations

Alien abduction victims often experience muscle spasms and the like for weeks after their encounter. They may awake to feel like they have ran a marathon or that there is a tingling sensation in certain parts of their bodies. This also coincides with alien implants which may be the cause for the sensation.

Often times we see these sensations leading to medical conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis, and a number of other muscle disorders.

5. Appearance of mysterious marks on body

These are presumed to be the marks left from various procedures that were conducted on the victim during their abduction experience. These marks are often small scars that appear to have been made with a delicate cut or possibly some form of laser.

These marks often appear overnight, with no apparent cause and can leave the victim feeling sore for some time. The scars have been used to trace alien implants and to actually document surgical work the victim does not recall having.

6. Constant paranoia

Of course in this day and age who does not experience this sign. Abductee victims experience a constant feeling of being watched and often report that they are being monitored on a 24/7 basis. This comes from the fear that they will be abducted again at a later time.

They also report that they are being communicated with by unseen forces.

7.Repeated UFO sightings

Abductees report in many cases of seeing UFOs on a much more regular basis than normal. The average person may see one in a lifetime, while abductees see several in a short period of time. This could be a result of the constant feeling of being watched, or could be a hysterical reaction or hallucination brought on by the abduction.

8. Recollections of a close encounter

Even with severe time loss a victim usually has some memory of the event. In most cases it is the first encounter with the alien life form that sticks in the memory. This encounter is vital to understanding the case in question. In most cases the encounter begins in a bedroom while the sleeping person is awakened to discover aliens in their bedroom. It is still not clear if this is more or less another aspect of old hag syndrome or sleep paralysis, but in most cases that is where the vivid recollection ends.

9.Healing of wounds

It has been reported on rare occasions that abductees have had injuries healed. Some have claimed that arthritis or damaged limbs have been miraculously healed by their alien captors. This is one of the more uncommon reports but it has become one that UFO researchers really are excited to hear because it can be verified with family doctors and could be a great way to prove the existence of alien life.

10. Sudden fear of UFO or alien discussions

This is very common in most abduction victims. They do not want to encure another abduction or criticism so they simply phase out of conversations that lead in that direction.

The Task Of The Researcher

As UFO researchers we must walk a very fine line when dealing with supposed abduction cases. We must show respect and care for the victims but at the same time keep the thought that what we are hearing may be the result of a number of things, none of which relate to actual alien activity. A person can experience a number of mental problems that would cause them to assume they were visited and taken by aliens. It could be a false created reality they have developed to simply escape something in their own life such as abuse or neglect. There are people who want so much to be considered important that they fake these abductions in hopes that fame and fortune would find them.

It is our task, and sometimes it is a very difficult one, to wade through all of the information presented to us and try to piece together all of the facts to form a comprehensive and constructive picture of what has happened in this person's life. I suggest you always approach these cases with some skepticism.

One aspect I always look for is that the person making the claim has reported their abduction to MUFON. MUFON is the mutual UFO network. It is a prime area of research for any UFO enthusiast. MUFON tracks UFO sightings worldwide and also keeps files on cases.

I also expect every person who approaches me with an abduction case to be willing to disclose any personal information that may be relevant to the case. This means medical histories. We have to walk a fine line between humanitarian and researcher but we can not afford to spend time and resources on cases that are not UFO related but simply a mental disorder run amuk.

A Video for the Alien in all of us.

In Conclusion

UFO abduction cases are very tricky to work and understand. We have to try to understand a phenomena that even the victim who was present is having difficulty with. I end with a simple piece of advice. Proceed with caution and trust your instincts, Never assume that the witness is just making stuff up. To be the best researcher possible we have to approach every case with an open mind and the will to at the very least listen.

UFO cases are difficult and when you throw in the possibility of an abduction you really have a complicated situation on your hands. I find looking at the entire scene as one big picture generally will play out a lot better for you in the grand scheme of things.

You call me a skeptic. I investigate claims of UFOs and abductions and do believe thay happen. Now put your money where your mouth is. let us see these videos and pictures you have collected that will without a shadow prove you have been abducted. You make such a claim while insulting me, now prove your claim and let us see what evidence you have.

Nothing like another obvious skeptic's point of view on something they clearly can't wrap their head around. Trust me, I've been abducted, (mentally stable, highly educated). Just about every one of these 10 signs happened, and continue to happen, to me. There is zero, 0, zilch as far as evidence supporting the notion that some or any of the countless mental disorders( none specified in article) have anything to do with these REAL abductions. On the contrary, there are many studies that indicate there is no correlation whatsoever.

Believe, I continue to be monitored ( I assume) by them, and am seeing ufo's daily. Pretty sure I am not hallucinating when I see them...Weird body twitching daily. I have a lot of photos and videos that would convince anyone that I speak the truth. Anyone who is a skeptic and has never experienced any of this would sound just like this writer. I would have sounded like this myself, had I not been visited... Try and imagine if these detailed abduction stories are actually facts, because most are. And please let me know how I get that fame and fortune, when the overwhelming amount of people think abductees are head cases.
