The Acceleration Of Time

Updated on December 31, 2014

Since a very early point in my life I have always thought on very "deep" subjects. I was that kid who was reading Nostradamus when the others were reading Swiss Family Robinson by Johan David Wyss.

I was the teen, who after smoking pot, started a discussion about other galaxies and planets.

I was the one, who after eating blotter acid freaked out all my friends about the other worlds that lived on a person's body; getting a microscope to prove it.

I was that addict, who after doing much to much of a methamphetamine/heroin mixture that looked into the sky at dusk and saw the upside down cross and realized that God is real and His Word is Truth.

That is what this hub is about; God; God and time. Does God recognize time? Our time? Does God have His own time?

Where has the time gone? Let's take a look at what Truth says:

That Thing Called Time

Do you ever feel like everything is moving faster? I do.

It seems like it was just 3 years ago that I moved to Missouri from Nebraska. That was in 1999. It seems like it was 2 years ago that my grandson, Jonathan was killed. That was in 2007.It seems like it was just yesterday that the wife of 30 years of mine died and that I had met a beautiful, loving woman here in Puerto Rico, blessed by God, to spend the rest of my days with. It's been longer than yesterday.

Time seems to have sped up. I was really thinking it was me and something that happens as we get older. As I have spoke with others on this subject, I have realized everyone feels this way. Time is moving faster. Why and how?

God Created

The first book of the Bible shows us that God recognizes time. He created it!

Genesis 1:5: And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

What could be more clear? God created time; so for all of you who says there is no time in God's eyes; rethink that theory.

Time is created from God, why, I don't know; but there is a reason. Our feeble minds can never completely understand God, but we still dare to try.

Scientists may try to tell you that time can't speed up.

Scientists have always thought the universe had stopped growing, but they have been discovering it is growing in leaps and bounds.

Some scientists try to say we evolved from apes, but they cannot answer why there are still apes. They should all have turned into humans.

Scientists are just people too and they don't really know. Most of their predictions are just theories, but they are very good at making the public believe it is truth.

Could time be speeding up scientifically? Let's look at a couple studies I have looked at. First, the magnetic North pole moves around 50 miles daily. It has moved approximately 600 miles in 100 years. Scientists have claimed that North and South poles change places every once in awhile. Could that possibly be taking place? Could we be spinning just a little faster making time go faster? Even if they say no way, I believe it is so.

Why I Believe

God split the Red Sea for Moses.

Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead.

God brought down the walls of Jericho with a blow of horns.

No scientist would ever claim any of these things possible.

If God wanted to speed up time. He can! So why would He? For those here on Earth that love and worship Him. There is no scripture that comes out and says that God will make the days faster than this one:

Matthew 24:21-22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Friends, family, strangers and enemies, we are in those days. At any moment you may here a loud trumpet and the skies may split to reveal forces from Heaven led by our King and Lord on a brilliant white horse. His name: Emmanuel, Jesus; the risen Savior who defeated death, sin and disease.

Please don't think you can wait longer. At any moment, it could be. It will be!

It is all very simple. Stop believing man and believe God. The prophecies and predictions in the Bible have been more accurate then any other. Nostradamus has no where near the perfect prediction record the Bible has.

I think of the young children, babies and such all clothed in white singing before God. I picture the great light and the happiness that will be for eternity. I then look across the great expanse and see so many who could have, but didn't. Whose screams of woe and darkness and everlasting fire just make me want to cry.

God wants no one in that place. He loves us all.

Just ask; I know He will receive you. He did me. He will you!

In God's Time

A baby is conceived and comes to earth... in God’s time
A seeking soul finds spiritual God’s time
Flowers bloom so beautifully in God’s time
The birds build their nest as they God’s time
We feel the evening breeze softly God’s time
And assurance is given that He loves us His time
Yet, when troublesome times come and skies are gray,
Too often we complain.
A man named Job did this one day,
And his life was never the same -
Until he awakened and began to see,
It was working for his own good.
He bowed his knee and finally
At last he understood...
Shall we accept good and not the bad?
The happy times and not the sad?
All things are from God’s own hand,
And are working according to His plan...In His time
So, when the storms of life linger
With dark clouds all about,
Let us look to our Saviour
Knowing the sun will come out...In His Time
May we trust Him whatever comes our way -
His grace is sufficient for us each day.
Then we’ll understand fully as time goes by,
When one day we enter the kingdom on high...In God’s Time.

Have you noticed how slow time passes when we are unhappy and how quickly time speeds by when we are happy. Just something to ponder.

@ Hawkdad73, it doesn't make sense to believe that something doesn't exist just because one cannon understand it. The universe is full of things more complex that we can wrap our minds around--it still exists. I'm not a tech person by any means--and I really don't understand how computers "exist" because I could never build one myself. But I know that they exist. If one could completely understand all there is to know about God, how "God-like" would He be? That's why God is called Holy "set-apart/other" because He is above and beyond our grasp. We can experience aspects of Him, but we cannot put Him in a little box like a creature and a lab to dissect. In the end, most people end up believing what they want to believe, as they stick to the few "facts" that support their case. It is only the one who is open as he/she diligently pursues truth, that such a truth will be found.

Hey Froggy213--I believe that something like this is happening. There is a documentary that I saw (that although was not Christian--it was more "spiritual") had some very good points and the acceleration of time was one of them. I'm going to try to remember the name of it and get back to you. They gave a great explanation of how science can actually show this to be. True science is right explanations of what we observe. It does not contradict God--when it get's down to the roots of things it always ends up proving the reality of the supernatural. Especially Quantum Physics. Very interesting! I guess I'm wandering off point here. Thanks for writing! :-)

Thanks Ms Dora--hawkchild73--you, in time will bow down and worship the God that you in ignorance says doesn't exist.

Do you think the ant understands us? I wonder how many ants say "because we don't comprehend man, he doesn't exist"? But we do. I pray that soon, very soon, your eyes are opened dude, cause it's very hot and bleak down there.

It is because our feeble minds cannot comprehend god that god does not exist. If god is something we cannot possibly understand, then god cannot exist.

You make a very forceful case for your proposition. Now you give us something to think about, because as you pointed out, "Our feeble minds can never completely understand God." Thanks for the challenge.
