The Beast and Its Image
Forget everything everyone has tried to implant into the minds of men, for most of them have done so for money, and in the process of so doing, they have overlooked these simple yet sublime words from their creator's servants, the prophets.
"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind" 1 Peter 5:2
Having a "ready mind" means one who is greatly concerned for the eternal salvation of those around them, and not doing it for money (lucre). Therefore it is the opinion of this author that those who have attempted to decipher Johns work while promoting a paid ministry, (Feeding the flock for money) cannot, will not, and never have had the spirit to guide them in achieving the simplicity of understanding John. Understanding the Book of Revelation is a very simple thing to do. Please allow me to give you a demonstration.
Although John does not introduce the beast until the 13th chapter of his vision, it is towards the end of his vision when John shares with his readers just what is his interpretation of the beast. Here is his clue.
"The beast that thou sawest was and is not; ... (Rev. 17:8)
Here is how simple the interpretation of John’s beast truly is. The phrase John used in the verse just quoted "was and is not" is a perfect definition for the word history. The beast is something that use to be and now no longer is, something that was and now is not. The beast is a history!
The History Of What?
The question that immediately jumps into our minds is: The history of what? And just as simple as before, John provides the answer to that question as well.
"And there are seven kings, five have fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come,..." (Rev. 17:10)
The beast is a history of seven kings!!! See how easy it is to understand John? Of course, the next question that comes to mind is who are the seven kings. We will go there in just a minute, but first I want to take you somewhere else. John wrote his vision while on the Isle of Patmos around 97AD. Now apply that fact to the verse we just quoted.
"And there are seven kings, five have fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come,..." (Rev. 17:10)
Let us go back in time now to the year of 97AD when John wrote his vision. According to what John had written, by the year 97 AD five kings had come and gone, one was in power, and the last king, king number seven, had not yet come into power. The rest is just a matter of......HISTORY!
Before we attempt to establish who are these seven kings John gives us one more clue in helping us to understand his vision.
"And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." (Rev. 17:9)
Take a look at the map below and notice how many mountains surround Jerusalem.
The Importance Of The Seven Mountains
Count the mountains surrounding the city of Jerusalem.
1) Mt. Zion, (2) Mt. Moriah, (3) Mt. Gerizim, (4) Mt. Ebal, (5) Mt of Olives, (6) Mt. Gilboa, (7) Mt. Tabor
What is the significance of this? John has just given us a topographical location as to where the beast, these seven kings, is going to appear. We now know that John's beast is a history of seven kings which will have something to do with the land of Jerusalem. Let us look at one more point of doctrine before putting names on those seven kings.
What Is The Beast's Power?
It is time to turn our attention to Rev. 13:2.
"And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."
When the council in heaven convened and the plan of salvation and redemption was presented to the hosts of heaven, (that would be you and I) Lucifer opposed Heavenly Father's plan and suggested that he would make us all do right, taking away our agency, not allowing us to have the power to choose right from wrong, He wanted to place us into his own bondage. This is the only power that Satan has today. Slowly taking away our agency by the sins we commit and our setting at defiance the power of the atoning sacrifice by not repenting of our wrongs thus placing us into bondage of our own sins. This is the power that Satan gives to his beast, thus, as we put names to these seven kings we shall be looking for seven kings who shall place the Judaean Jewry into bondage.
Let us now name the seven kings of John's beast.
King #1: Nebuchadnezzer and his Babylonian Empire from 625-539BC
King #2: Cyrus and his Persian Empire from 539-334BC.
King #3: Seleucus Nicator and the Seleucidian Empire from 324-166BC. (Also referred to as the "King of the North" in Dan. 11)
King #4: Ptolemy Soter and the Ptolemian Empire from 324-166BC. (Also referred to as the "King of the South" in Dan. 11)
King #5: Mattahias, who begins the Maccabaean reign of self appointed kings over the Jews of Judea from 166-37BC.
Thus the first five kings have fallen before 97 AD!!
King #6: Herod, the Great, slays Antigonus, the last of the Maccabaean self appointed kings, marries the last Maccabaean princess, and becomes King over Judea at 37AD, now placing the Jews of Judea under Roman rule and the sixth King is now in place.
This is the kingdom that was in power when John wrote the Apocalypse. What history will show us is that the Romans remained in power up until around the 7th century AD, meaning that the 7th king cannot come into power until after the fall of Rome, or until around 600AD. Keep reading to learn about the 7th kingdom.
The Beast is a type, a foreshadow......
Over and over again the Judaean Jewry were warned to repent or they would lose their covenanted land and the many blessings that came with it. Likewise, today, over and over again, the prophets are warning us to repent and accept the power of the atoning sacrifice that Jesus has made for us, because soon there will be time no longer. And just as the Jews lost their covenanted land, if we do not heed the warnings, we could lose our exaltation.
The Image of The Beast
The image of the beast is relatively simple to grasp. The beast brought about the apostasy. After the apostasy had taken place, mankind, in his quest to worship deity, what was left for him to worship? Perhaps only the images that were left in his mind of what the Gospel of Christ use to be like? Thus the beginning of a multitude of man-made doctrine as they try to remember what they use to have. This onslaught of new man made doctrine suddenly appearing all over the place is what John describes as the image of the beast.
The Mark of the Beast
Remember why Christ spoke in parables? There are those who have eyes and will not see. The truth is always hard to accept for those who will not take the time to hear and see what our elder brother has done for us. Throughout the entire Apocalypse there is a line of demarcation drawn. There are those who have the seal of the living God "in their foreheads" (Rev. 7:3) and then there are those who have the mark of the beast "in their right hand or in their forehead" (Rev. 13:16) Folks, this has nothing to do with computer chips or bar codes. No, nothing at all!!!!! Did you happen to notice the one word that was common between both descriptions? The word "in". John did not say on their foreheads, but in their foreheads. In other words, are you thinking thoughts that are worthy of exaltation? Or, are you entertaining thoughts that are beastly, and worldly? Are your hands in the service of God? Or, are they doing beastly things and putting you into bondage? What will your thoughts and hands testify about you when you are standing in front of Jesus the Christ? THIS IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!
The Number of the Beast
Once again, in man's quest to show his wisdom instead of God's wisdom, we have manage to bombard ourselves with a multitude of circumstances where it seem that the number 666 does seem to fit rather well. However, in all of these circumstances there is one thing that stands out like a very sore thumb. They all point towards a man. They almost have it right. But it is not "a man", it is man, as in mankind. The natural man is an enemy of God. Remember those famous words? Martin Luther, in his rendition of the Bible, quotes Rev. 13:18 as "it is man's number" not the "number of a man". Man, when he is not in the service of God, then he can only be in the service of the beast. Thus it is, the line of demarcation has been drawn. Either you have the seal of God in your forehead, or you have the mark of the beast. This is the message John sends to his readers.
Why the Difference in the Crowns.
In the 12th chapter of John’s vision he is sharing with his readers an event, which took place in our preexistence. You will notice that the symbolic description of Satan in Rev. 12:3 is identical to that of the symbolic description of the Satan’s beast in Rev. 13:1-2 with one exception. Satan, known as Lucifer in our preexistence had seven crowns and his beast has 10 crowns here on earth. Why the difference? In numerology 7 is used to represent perfection and 10 is used to represent completion. Lucifer thought that he had the perfect plan, which is being demonstrated to us by the 7 crowns, and that perfect plan was to place us into bondage making us to do his will, which was rejected and he, along with his followers, were cast down to the earth. Satan then empowers his beast with that plan and the beast was successful in placing the Judaean Jewry into bondage, so much so that it brought about the apostasy, thus the reason why the beast has 10 crowns, to signify he completed his task.
I Believe All People Are...
I believe all people everywhere are inherently good by nature and regardless of what their spiritual beliefs are they do honestly believe their faith was ordained by divine revelation and sanctioned by their God of choice. This is not about people, it's about the power behind them.
Naming the Seventh Kingdom!
Whenever Satan unleashes his attacks on the inhabitants of our world he comes at us from two very distinct and different levels simultaneously; one approach being temporal and the other spiritual.
Here is the Temporal Attack!
Let us go back in time to the year of 90 B.C. Mithradates, king of Pontus, is challenging Rome for commercial supremacy in western Asia Minor. Finally, Pompey makes Syria a Roman province (70 B.C.), Lucullus drives Mithradates out of Asia Minor, and Rome has established Asia Minor as its chief source of revenue. Up until this time, in the analogs of the Mediterranean Empires, all of the beasts have come from afar. Egypt has its wings plucked by Babylon (Dan. 7:4), which began their march from the east, from the mouth of the Euphrates. Then came the Persians following in the Babylonian footsteps. From the west comes Alexander the Great. After the fall of Alexander the Great, Ptolemy I, king of the south (Egypt) now gains control over Judea only to fall into the hands of Seleucids (king of the north). Finally, an uprising with the Judaean Jewry (Macabees) allows the Jews to be somewhat in control of this priceless piece of land called Judea. Why the big fuss over this narrow strip of land? It was the gateway between Egypt and Asia Minor. Whoever controlled this land controlled the trade between Africa and Asia. It was priceless.
However, the Judaean Jewry maintained this land for only a brief moment in history, because shortly afterwards it was squandered by the Herodian Dynasty, during which the birth, life, crucifixion, resurrection of our Lord, and the apostasy, all took place.
Remember now that the sixth head of the beast was the Roman Empire, and they maintained control over the Judaean Jewry up until the fall of Rome during the 7th century A.D. This means that the seventh head of the beast cannot come into existence until after the fall of Rome, which would place us around 600A.D.
It is time to turn our attention towards the Arabs of Arabia, a collective group of nomads that Rome never conquered, nor even thought of them as a threat. In the 7th century A.D., three empires were struggling for supremacy over the gateway between Africa and Asia. They were the Byzantines, the Persians, and the Arabs of Arabia. During the decade from 630 A.D. to 641 A.D., the Arabian forces were under the command of four brilliant leaders:
1) Amr ibn al-As
2) Yazid I ibn Abi-Sufyan
3) Abu ubayadah ibn Jarrah
4) Khalid ibn al-Walid
These four leaders decisively annihilated all Byzantine and Persian armies in Syria and Persia (Iraq and Iran). At the beginning of the next decade Ame ibn al-As marches through Egypt, reopening the old Pharanic canal connecting the Nile with the Red Sea and trading resumes between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, and Egypt is now added to the conquest of the Arabs. North Africa and Spain are now threatened by the advancement of the Arabian forces and by the year 715 A.D. the Arabs had seized the fairest of the Byzantine provinces and had complete control over North Africa and Spain. The Arabian kingdom has now entered into the analogs of the Mediterranean empires.
And, at this point it is important that we remember what the common factor was, and still is, between these seven heads of the beast, and that is that they coveted that narrow strip of land owned by the Judaean Jewry. These seven heads wanted to place the Jews into bondage so that they might have control of their worldly possession, the gateway between Africa and Asia. The beast wanted to place the children of Israel into bondage, which is exactly what Satan's plan was in the pre-existence. This is "his power, and his seat, and great authority" (Rev. 13:2) that the dragon gave to his beast. This was the mission of the first 6 heads of the beast, to bring about the apostasy, to wipe the kingdom of God off of the face of the earth. But the seventh head was given a different mission. His mission is to "stamp the residue " (Dan. 7:7) with its feet. The question that immediately comes to mind is, "The residue of what?" What did the beast accomplish? It brought about the apostasy. The beast wiped Christianity out of that part of the world. And what is the mission of the seventh head? To keep it from coming back!!!!
Satan, in his hate and anger, did bring forth his beast and it was successful in its mission, the apostasy. This is the temporal attack of Satan upon the inhabitants of this world. And it still continues today, because the mission of the seventh head of Satan’s beast is to keep it from coming back, by hiding the truth from the world. But the truth cannot be kept hid forever. It will always come forth; such as it has, and always will.
Here comes the Spiritual Attack!
Please understand that as I identify the spiritual aspect of this seventh head of the beast it is not the people or their faith, it is the power behind them.
Again, let me declare that I believe all people everywhere are inherently good by nature and regardless of what their spiritual beliefs are they do honestly believe their faith was ordained by divine revelation and sanctioned by their God of choice.
With that said, here is the seventh head of the beast. Put it together, look at the time frames, reason it out in your head and heart.
The Islamic faith was introduced into the world during the seventh century AD; the exact time in history when the Arabs began their conquest for the Mediterranean Empire. There are a variety of differences between the Islamic faith and the Christian faith. However, there is only one that is of extreme importance which pertains to this work; and that is Christians believe Jesus is the Christ and the Islamic world does not believe Jesus is the Christ, they think of him as a mere mortal prophet. With that thought in mind let us once again re-read Rev. 12:17: “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” And it is the Islamic faith, which does not have a testimony that Jesus is the Christ, and it is they who continue to make war with those who do have the testimony of Jesus Christ today.
The line of demarcation has been drawn; there are those who have the seal of God in their foreheads, and there are those who have the mark of the beast. There are no alternatives.
So, simply put, what faith in the middle east hates Christianity? What faith declares they are at war with the Christian world? And that is the seventh kingdom of the beast whose responsibility it is to keep Christianity out of their part of the world.
With that being said, take a look at who is running our country today and come to understand his alliance with the Islamic world, more directly the Muslim Brotherhood (the seventh head of the beast) and now you know the future of America. We are destined for a war of unimaginable consequences as he continues to reduce our military strength and on the other side of the coin, continues to give money and weapons to those who wish to destroy us, to the beast.
Our leader claims we are not at war with the Islamic nations, but they are at war with us.
Here’s the bottom line; the beast cannot be stop by any earthly power, nor will it ever rest. It does not sleep, it does not rest, it is a continuous on surge of mayhem with the sole purpose of killing those who have a testimony that Jesus is the Christ, and can only be stopped when Christ comes again.
The beast is alive and well in America!
Think to yourself, ask yourself this question: "Why would the seventh head of the beast be so interested in destroying America?" Because right here in America is where the restoration of all things begins as clearly outlined in the Bible.
There is an answer to all of this confusion and mayhem. There is a way that will give you a much clearer understanding of how to prepare yourself and your loved ones from what is about to be written in the analogs of time. That answer may be found in my book, 777 The Book of Seals. You may contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

I believe John's work, The Book Of Revelation, is by far the greatest masterpiece of work ever submitted to the human race, and could only have come about just as John describes to his readers, that an angel came to him and showed him the things he writes about. I also believe it is one of the easiest compositions to understand. I have approached his work in four different writings and each of these are available to anyone, free of charge.
