The Beginners Guide to the Top 2018 Female Australian Social Issues and Solutions using Tarot Cards.
I want it back!
I want to be able to call my country the “lucky country”, again. I want to feel it. I want to know it. But I just cannot.
Yet, I don’t want to give up on my country, either.
With that in mind and New Year’s Eve on the horizon, I turned my gaze and my wishes to the storytelling inherent in the divination Rider Waite Tarot Card deck. I posed the question-“what does the average Australian feel is the main problem facing the Australian population?”
With that question in mind, I created a 6 Card tarot spread, with the sixth tarot card giving the advice or outcome to the problem facing the average Australian. Here, is what the Rider Waite Tarot Cards revealed.
Q.1 What is the main problem facing the Australian population? (3 Wands)
It seems from this 3 Wands tarot card here, that people of Australia, feel on average, their life is out of control. They either feel hopeless or helpless to overcome their fears especially when people around them are becoming more ruthless, and justice is not forthcoming; together with work efforts not being respectfully rewarded.
People are questioning the merit of their occupations especially those people in construction, design and nursing fields. They feel unsupported by their organization and their administration team. More people are becoming more hostile in their work environment.
Q.2 What is happening? (Queen Cups)
If feel the Queen of Cups card is indicating that more than ever people are seeing their workplace as the main resources centre to growing and evolving not only in their skill sets but as a holistic person.
People come to their place of employment to learn to understand and be understood. In addition, to not getting involved in unnecessary dramas or conflicts, where people’s feelings are intentionally hurt or destroyed.
Q3. What is Involved? (The Empress)
A Taurean or Libran female that looks after the Gender Inequality Division in workplaces, is involved here.
Laws around employing pregnant females still needs to be resolved and affirmed.
How can a female who needs to run a career and a family, accomplish these tasks when they don’t have certain conditions in place (maternity and paternity leave for ALL, not the few)? The females need this to not only maintain career longevity but also that their marriage remains on a solid foothold.
NOT to forget, those females in long term casual positions who should be upgraded to a permanent paid position. You find a large proportion of these females in low paid areas such as hair, retail, hospitality, beauty and fashion.
Q4. How do the people feel behind closed doors? (9 Swords)
How do these females feel? They have sleepless nights. Feeling like failures or commiserating over their losses or those losses going to enter into their lives.
I feel the general atmosphere is brooding and pessimistic.
Q.5 What are two solutions to this problem? (7 Cups® + The Lovers ®)
Solution 1 (7 Cups ®)
Obtaining maternity and paternity leave for all working people, not just a select few.
I feel people want to have meaningful connections with people at their workplace. If they can’t? I bet a lot are daydreaming away on their technological devices. A loss to the worker and a loss to the employer.
Solution 2 (The Lovers ®)
Another way forward, is to make females feel more competent and more whole in their paid position at work. So, the female has to feel intellectually nourished and emotionally fulfilled. Maybe learning by having too many differences between people at the workplace is too stimming?
Q.6 Outcome/Advice (King Wands)
With the King Wands stepping forward here, tells me a good step forward is having one’s work to become personally meaningful or fun, will go a long way to nourishing females at the workplace.
Workers need to feel concerned for, especially when wages are low or too up and down. And they are not.
Fire is the element lacking in this tarot spread. This suggests to me that motivation and enthusiasm is lacking within the Australian Administration team about fixing these issues. The Administration team doesn’t feel it is an urgent task; together the team is not integrated as a team, and this is to its detriment
Australia could become a leader in this area, if it wants too.
I would like to add, that after completing this tarot card reading, I decided to google what the top social concerns for Australian females were; and up came something relevant and interesting. I thought I would share it with you here.
At the above website was a listing of not only the top concerns for Australian females but also the top concerns of all females world-wide. Here are the top 5 concerns of females worldwide: -
1. Domestic Violence
Australia has a high intimate partner violence and high non-sexual violence experience; However, the government doesn’t want to fix it- “no funding available for measures:
The World Health Organization estimates that 34% of women around the world have expressed both sexual and non-sexual violence in their lifetime. This is about one in three females. This issue is said to be Australia’s greatest social challenge.
2. Women in Leadership Positions
In 2015 a survey of 1500 top companies. There was one female CEO to every four male CEO’s. We need to do more work here.
In Australia, we offer a minimum education level up to 15 years of age. However, most go onto Year 12 or do Apprenticeships. With the following going onto Universities for their Degree or Post Graduate Degree. While the standard of our education is falling we still are better off than some other countries in terms of educating their females.
Females in other countries have these barriers to overcome: -
- School fees
- Putting boys’ education ahead of females
- Cultural expectations
- The violence experienced at schools
- The expectation that females have to sacrifice their education if help is needed at home
- Or, if they marry young
Females earn less than males. These working females earn 60-75% of what men are earning.
20-24-year olds are likely to be working part time or not working at all because they are home taking care of their young children, as child care costs are too high for their income level.
5. Child Marriage
Forced marriages of teenagers and primary school aged children to much older men (30’s, 40’s, 50’s). What happens here is these young children are denied their right to education, health and opportunities in life.
What is the main concern in your country for females?
