The Bible, God's Love Letters To Us

Updated on April 16, 2012

The Bible contains loves letters from God. On any given day you could pick the Bible, open to any page and find a verse that expresses God's love for us or contains an answer you've been searching for. Were you aware that at the end of the Bible you can look up a word and find a Bible passage that relates to that word or phase. Those in need of guidance can turn to the Bible for help and understanding. This shows them that God is right by their side.

I have a few Bibles. My favorite is The Word of God, Alive & Active. This was a gift I received when I attended a retreat called T.E.C. Teens Encounter Christ. When I've needed help to understand a situation or advise on how to handle a situation I turn to this Bible. Towards the end their are two sections, " Finding Help In The Bible" and " What Does God Say About Forgiveness"?

Finding help in the Bible has statements like " Being a Friend" under which lists sections of the Bible that contain a passage intended to assist you. Below this statement one passage to review is Proverbs, 17.17 that states, Friends always show their love. What are relatives for if not to share the trouble. I understand this to mean, show your friends you love them and let others share your burdens when you are down and out.

When a couple gets married it is a special occasion they share with God, family and friends. One of the statements in the help section gives a passage that relates to, Celebrating a Marriage. Colossians, 2, 6-7, Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. That can me that a husband and wife should live with God as their guide towards a faith filled love, faith filled marriage and be thankful for their good life.

Those are two examples yet there are so many more lessons to be learned through the Bible passages. You can find responses for, being a leader, caring for the elderly, birth, adoption, celebrating various mild stones in your life, controlling your temper, holding your tongue, discovering God's will, experiencing loss of a loved one, coping with peer pressure, making difficult decisions, facing obstacles throughout your life, loss of a job, property, possessions, overcoming addictions, being afraid, fears, worry, depression, disappointment, being discouraged and discovering when to forgive, how to forgive and teaches you what God says about forgiveness.

Good read. The Bible will provide all you need for each day. But you must open your heart so that teaching will enter.

God is good and He is Holy so we must have a good frame of mind for this.

      Stay Well
