So the source of the compilation is up for debate. And so is their motive. Even though, aside from the psalms, is one of the most read books of the Bible. Especially people that have no interest in the Holy Book as a whole.

The book of Revelation is filled with symbolism, and is supposed to portray how God plans to deliver his wrath and answer the martyr's pleas.
Because of this extraordinary symbolism, many believers are on edge because of the actual repercussions of said actions. As a believer is easy to get lost in the poetry of scripture, but is there for our study and scrutiny. Throughout history, humankind has been plagued by several disasters and "plagues". This has been interpreted as God's wrath or due punishment to those that sin.
A hundred years ago a natural disaster, or outbreak in a specific location, would be interpreted as punishment. Now, as we are pulled close together with the World Wide WEB and the mass media communications, is almost impossible to ignore the occurrences and tragedies across the globe. That is one of the reasons a growing number of people, believers and non-believers alike, are certain that these are the end of days. The more we know about natural disasters and technology, the more nervous we get.
For the past 3 years, the media and conspiracy theorists have encountered a common ground. The 2012 End of Days Mayan Prophesy. Is common knowledge nowadays, that December 21, 2012, culminates the famous Mayan calendar. This has grown into mass hysteria, and the acceptance of the public that this is the day the world will suffer a catastrophic event. Scientists, clergy, politicians and reputable individuals have been entertaining this idea for quite a while. There are a few clues that assure them that this is indeed, the biblical Apocalyptic event described in the Book of Revelations.
As if on cue, the first 100 days of 2011, where devastating for many countries all over the world. A swarm of earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, tornadoes, diseases, dead stock, and unexplained death in the sea life, are just the starting point feeding these fears of the end of days.

Every day there is a natural occurrence that is easily explained. But why are people so afraid?
More and more people are making the connection to the dire predictions of the book of revelations. Needless to say the evidence is overwhelming. The world is going through a huge change. In this day and age, we can corroborate how our planet is changing, meaning the earth cycles is upon us. Solar flares , Teutonic plates shifting, and how the earth magnetism is shifting.
In 2011 the world came to a halt when wildlife around the world died suddenly. Scary, isn't it. If indeed this was an isolated incident, the pattern would have been impossible to be established.

Clusters of devastating earthquakes have plagued the planet in the last 24 months. Everyone remembers the Japan earthquake or the Christchurch tragedy in New Zealand. Christchurch has had over 1,000 earthquakes in 2011.
The shifting of the tectonic plates along the faults is a daily occurrence. Not that this is rare, but it is on the rise.

Are we living in the Last Days?
Are these the signs of the impending apocalypse?
No one knows. The difference between now and before, is quite simple. Now we have the technology and the means to witness these occurrences live.
So of course that people are going to weigh down the bible and the natural disasters. Knowledge is indeed power. And this generation is blessed with all sorts of knowledge. Having said that, is also the beginning of mass hysteria.
There are a couple of "coincidences" that echoes the bible. For example, the final war between God and Satan. The mark of the beast (bar code system), and the second coming. These events are marked by war, hatred, famine, and instability in the governments.
Many are scared, others are convinced that this is the end of times. But everyone can agree, these are difficult times and whether you believe or not, no one knows what tomorrow will bring. Only God know's when and how he will deliver his children. Are you prepared?
