This is a guided meditation utilizing the healing power of nature, as well as the transformational nature of the labyrinth to help us find our center. What is at the center is a force that connects all things together.
A Tool for Transforming Low Self-Worth
This particular meditation is for those that are suffering from low self-worth. If you are like me, you may have had your share of missed opportunities because you didn’t think you were good enough, or perhaps, you have even pushed people away because you did not feel you were worthy of their love. As a child, there were several events that led to my lack of self-worth:
My grandmother refusing to feed and change me as a baby; my father making us call our step-mother “mom”; telling my sister and I that our “real” mom did not exist; telling me that I was hated; saying I didn’t have any musical talent whatsoever; and being told that I wouldn’t amount to anything in life.
However, it wasn’t until I had a group conversation, Spiritual Therapy, that I had my “aha” moments in which I connected all the dots. You can just imagine that as soon as I discovered the truth, the tears began to fall. My Soul was happy that I finally made this breakthrough.
Why Is This So Difficult For So Many?
For the most part, many individuals live their life on an unconscious level. It isn’t their desire to sabotage their life, but those that suffer from low self-worth often sabotage their life and not realize it. We often play the victim, saying the Universe has dealt us a bad card. But if we continue to say, “Why me?,” we will never get to the cause of the problem. However, the good news is that we can transcend this type of consciousness if we ask the right questions.
For example, when I asked the question, “Why do I procrastinate?” The Universe proceeded to flood me with the answers. Old memories began to surface. I soon realized that this procrastination was actually a form of self-sabotage; and this had its roots in low self-worth. It is hard to imagine that events in our childhood could still have effects on us today, but it is very true; and unless we get to the root cause of the problem, we will continue to be plagued by the unresolved issues. What is so special about this guided meditation?
Working With the Subconscious Mind
This particular meditation uses imagery and powerful suggestions to allow a communication with the subconscious mind. Remember how I said that our behavior is mostly played out on an unconscious level:
We draw people and events to us without realizing it.
Sometimes this unconscious behavior may lead to negative results. However, this meditation works at the level of the subconscious mind in order to re-program the false beliefs that sabotage our life: Transforming them into new positive beliefs that will in effect transform our life. Now, let us begin the guided meditation.
The Guided Meditation Script

To begin with, make yourself comfortable…take in a nice big deep breath, and as you exhale, allow yourself to let go of any tension you may be experiencing…Take in another deep breath…Good…Allow the muscles in your body to relax and soften…Now take in one more deep breath…Feel your body begin to let go…You are doing wonderful…It feels good to relax…
Now, I would like you to imagine that you are sitting in front of a beautiful campfire…The fire is completely warm and inviting…You feel at peace…You feel calm…And as you let go, you discover that you are sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation…You breathe in this beautiful scene that is playing out in front of you…the sound of the fire crackling and its vibrant light is very soothing and calming…Allow your body, mind, and soul to experience this wonderful sensation…
As you sit in front of this soothing camp fire, you can feel the loving light and warmth of the fire massage and relax your entire body, starting at your head…Allow yourself to fully embrace this loving and wonderful light…You, now, feel this relaxing light move down your neck and shoulders…You are doing wonderful…You are finding yourself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation…This relaxation now moves down your back and chest…It is now moving down your stomach and lower back…Allow your breathing to further assist you into a deeper state of relaxation…This relaxation is now moving down your arms and out through the tips of your fingers…Good…You are enjoying this relaxation…You are feeling completely calm and relaxed…You allow the relaxation to move down your legs and out through the tips of your toes…You are enjoying this state of total relaxation…Your entire body feels completely relaxed…
I would, now, like for you to expand the scene…This is a place in Nature that is special to you…This may be a place from your past, or it could be place that you have invented inside your head...What type of scenery is in your environment?...Are there any particular scents that grab your attention?...How does it feel to be in this special place?...Allow yourself to fully experience and take in the beauty and love…You are completely safe here…You are fully supported by this loving environment that has your best interest in mind…You also notice the beautiful sounds that fill your environment…There is a small brook or stream in the distance…The sound of its flowing water is very soothing and relaxing…There is also a soft breeze that is blowing through the trees…It feels absolutely wonderful on your skin…You also hear the sounds of birds chirping…Their loving songs fill the environment with love…To your right, you notice a fallen log…You decide to take a seat on it and continue taking in nature’s beauty…You have come to this place for assistance in removing your false belief that you are not worthy…This place fully and lovingly supports you with your goal of feeling worthy…
In front of you, you notice a beautiful campfire that the Universe has set up for this beautiful occasion…You allow the sound of this fire, along with the sound of the flowing water to further relax you…You also notice that your gaze is fixed on the beautiful yellow flame…This powerful flame is a reminder of the power that exists within you…Allow yourself to fully take in the strength of this flame…Feel your Solar Plexus Chakra, that is located just above your belly button, to radiate with this vibrant yellow light…This is the power center of your body…You have the power to conquer this false belief that you are not worthy…I would like you to, now, write on a piece of paper, in your mind, all the things that are preventing you from feeling completely worthy…completely loved…I will give you a moment to write these down…
Good…Now, look into the fire and remember the important message that the flame is telling you…You are more powerful than your false belief…You are a powerful creator…Now, toss the paper that you have just written on into the fire…Well done…Do you notice the smoke that is rising?...You have just released the things that are stopping or sabotaging your efforts…Give yourself a pat on the back…Well done!...And just like the powerful yellow flame, you have the power to accomplish what you want in life…You have the tools and resources to make your dreams a reality…You are completely loved and worthy…Whenever you light incense or a candle, let this be a reminder that you are letting go of any false beliefs that you are not worthy…You are beautiful being of love…
In just a moment, I will take you from this loving experience…You will leave feeling empowered and refreshed…1, moving your fingers and toes…2, feeling more aware with each breath…3, 2, 1…Your are eyes open, fully awake…
