"The Correct Way to give Alms"

Giving Alms isn't always money, it can be food and other helpful services.

The bible teaches us how to give the correct way and not to give to be seen like the hypercrits that gave to show off, boast and brag about it.
The bible teaches us how to give the correct way and not to give to be seen like the hypercrits that gave to show off, boast and brag about it.

"The Correct Way To Give Alms"

Defition of the words Alms: means giving offerings or donations to somene in need.

Matthews chapter 6 - 1 thru 4 : Take heed that ye do not your Alms before me, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your father which is in heaven

Therefore when thou doest thine Alms, do not sound a trumphet before thee, as the hypercrites in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.

But when thou does Alms, let not thy left hand know what thy righ hand doest. That thine Alms maybe in secret: and thy father wich seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Luke chapter 11 - 41 : But rather give Alms of such things as ye have, and behold, all things are clean unto you.

The correct wat to give Alms is by offerings or a donations to someone in secret. In reading the scripture of the bible, it tells us to give in secret and our heavenly father will reward us openly. All this means is, you're not suppose to tell Tom, Dick or Harry what you gave or who you gave it too. That's why the scripture tells us not to be hypercrites an give where man can see and know what we're doing, that knowledge is only for you, God and the person involved.

I know you have witnessed some people doing good deeds for other by giving, but when they go out and talk about it and broad cast it everywhere, the deed is no longer a good deed. When we talk about what we did for someone. We're looking for the glory of men. When we should be looking for the reward of our heavenly father. If you do something for someone, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

When we do good deeds for others, do we want to blessed of God or of men. Think about it, the next time you gve your alms to someone, make sure you'll be able to recieve your blessings and rewards from God, and not of men.

Looks like I've been giving Alms the correct way then, lol. I always feel strange when I tell people about good deeds I've done. Some recognition is nice, but I don't use it to gloat.

My mother used to always tell me that - "never let your right hand know what your left hand is doing." It took me years to understand what she meant, but it's so true, if you are so adamant about broadcasting what you do for others, than it's no longer a good deed. Good reminder for us all. (four more to go!)
