The Daily Journey
Life can be and often is confusing. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning till we close them at night we are bombarded with doubts, trepidation, questions, and dire decisions that must be made. Which way do we go, which roads do we take and who do we go to for answers?
Daily we stand at new crossroads sometimes we face them with joy in our hearts yet often there is tug that pulls us in directions that we must not take, directions that though they appear benign yet could lead to our ultimate destruction. How do we know which road leads to beauty and hope, and which will lead to our downfall? Often it is the most innocent of steps that can bring us down.
There is within us a still small voice that thunders deep within our soul a voice that will guide us to the paths that are filled with the splendor of His glory, but we must listen and head the guidance that He gives. At times we will make the wrong decision simply because the temptation appears to be so wonderful and full of pleasure, and we just want to go there. It happens because we have tuned out the Fathers voice. He will forgive us, but He would much rather that we just listen the first time.
As we stand at these crossroads of our lives, breathe deeply and take in the beauty that God has provided for us. Listen with your heart, not with your emotions. Emotions will lead you astray, for they are of a carnal nature, connected with the flesh in an intimate relationship that Satan will use to his advantage.
God will never lead you in a direction that will harm you. He will always hold you safely in his arms and will allow nothing to harm you. Take the road that He has chosen. In love he has plotted your course and with love He will guide you with His still soft voice, keep your ears tuned to hear His voice and no other. The adventure He has set before you is full of wonder and excitement. Are you ready to follow His voice and step into an adventure that is like no other?
Walk in His Glory, spread His word, and rest in His arms.
