The Ending Of Time

Updated on December 6, 2011

The Ending Of Time

I heard the first cry that Christmas Day,

And I knew that our God would prove

That this was the Promised Infant

Who would shower the world with Love.

Then I watched over Him as He grew

From Babe to Toddler into wise Youth,

And I knew that He truly was the One,

Sent down from Above,The Living Truth!

Then too quickly that time did come

To spread on earth His Father's Word.

He would leave home and loved ones.

Man must know Blessings of The Lord !

Then I saw Him pull His heavy cross

With His Blessed Hands so full of pain

Then I was glad that I came but once

And I would never pass this way again.

I knew someday He would come back

Midst a Cloud of Glory, Angels galore!

And I would catch one glimpse of Him

Then I must silently fade forevermore!

I know this is an unusual poem so I am

not sure what people will think of it .It

was written in 1965 or 1966 so you

see it is one of my old ones that has

laying around for years, some of them

are a little different .I don't know what

else to say except it was never written

for anyone else and I wrote what I felt .

I have more but I will wait to see how

this one goes over,If you have come

this far ,thank you for reading. Clara

      Hi Sister Clara,

I had to smile when I read this poem and saw when you wrote it. I was born in that time!! Amazing huh?

      Lots of love! Lisa
