The Future of Expectation

Updated on February 3, 2011

Your Future is Brighter Than You Know

There is a place of expectation that is free from the dread of your present reality. There is a place that exists that few realize when they're thrust into the middle of problems that are inevitable in life.

If you find yourself weary, and exhausted, please allow me to take you to the place of your future expectation. In this place you'll find the truth according to God's Word that says, no matter what you may have been through - you still have a future.

Your future is not etched by your past, but rather by the decisions you make today. Sure, I know you may have difficulties and I don't doubt that it's been a struggle, but you still have a future of expectation. I say that with a certain boldness because it's the most critical of all statements that I could ever make to you. Allow me to explain. For this one moment in your life, take your eyes off your problems and your present situation. It doesn't matter how bad you've blown it or whether you've completely missed the mark, what matters is that you take your eyes completely off yourself and focus entirely on the God who loves you with an unfailing love. He loves you for the very person He created you to be and He desires to restore you to that image. Neither your mistakes nor what you consider to be your failures have any impact on the love God has for you.

The Bible declares that before you were formed in the womb, God knew you. Did you notice the part about you were "formed", that's not a small thing, but a major statement. The Bible says that you were fearfully and wonderfully made. Your life is not a mistake, but you were meticulously created to display God's splendor.

Now, let's talk about your future of expectation. Stop looking at where you are right now in life, spend some time with God and allow Him to usher you into the plan that He has already prepared for you. Start by simply praying and asking God to make Himself real to you. Don't worry about getting too fancy, praying to God is nothing more than talking to Him. Know that no matter what you have ever done - God is not mad at you. He loves you and He actually wants to make Himself real to you. Right where you are, talk to Him and allow Him to meet you at the point of your need. Know that what God has for you is far beyond your ability to measure or even comprehend; despite the seemingly impossible circumstances you may face, God will make a way for you that will put you on a sure path to your future of expectation.

Betty, I've received a lot of encouragement and without it I'm not sure where I would have been. If I could just convey one message, it would be that it doesn't matter how many times you fall - God will help you get back up. Thanks for sharing the moment!

What an uplifting hub, Unleashed Victory. You definitely have a gift of encouragement. I especially liked it when you said that neither our mistakes nor our perceived failures have any impact on God's love for us. Sometimes our emotions try to tell us differently, so that's a good statement to meditate on.
