The Godhead.

The Godhead. Do you know it and do you understand it? More importantly, do you believe in it and do you live it? That is certainly the very most important part. I think most people have an image of an older man as the image of our Father in Heaven. I know that often I picture this older father figure in my mind. However, God is not one person but actually three people existing within God. We have a plural God. Probably difficult to completely comprehend from our human perspective. Everything with God happens for a reason. For His reason and while many times it does not seem so, all things work for good. He had to come here as a man ( Jesus ) and save all of mankind. So God is the Father and He is the Son and He is the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells the apostles I am leaving behind a Helper ( the Holy Spirit ) for you. God calls Himself I AM and what comes after the I AM ..... Well basically everything. I AM everything. He certainly IS everything. All that matters anyway. Jesus was there from the very beginning but He came to earth 2015 years ago and it is where we get AD ( Anno Domini ) meaning in the year of His birth. Try to comprehend that with God anything can and does happen. He is not limited by any human limitation as we are limited in so many ways. Remember in the Gospels when Jesus raises His hand and calms the seas and the wind. The Apostles look at each other and say who can this be that even the sea and wind obey? He is indeed the great I AM. In Hebrews 1 verse 8 God calls Jesus God and references His scepter of righteousness. So here again God exists in three distinct persons. When Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist all three beings of God are present as the dove ( the Holy Spirit ) descends on Jesus the Son and the clouds open and God the Father's voice calls out that this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. We have a plural God. Moreover, we have an amazing and incredibly loving God. A God who takes away our sin and transgressions by the power of the cross. Here are some verses in the bible illustrating the Godhead:

1st John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Colossians 2:9 For in Him ( Jesus ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

1st Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.

Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son, He (father God ) saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever : a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.

John 10:30 I and My Father are one.

Genesis 1:26 Let Us make man in Our image after Our likeness.

Genesis 3:22 And The Lord God said, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.

Important note: the following verse from the Old Testament from Micah clearly forecasts of a Messiah coming out of Bethlehem and His presence as God from the very beginning. Remember Jesus says Before Abraham, I AM.

Micah 5:7 But you Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you were little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the one to be ruler in Israel, Whose going forths are from old, from everlasting.

Wow He is awesome!

God bless always.
