The Greatest Guidebook Ever
Gods handbook for life
The Guaranteed best GPS.
The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life.
Proverbs 16:17 New International Version
The road of life is filled with many of the wrong signs.
For example we see ads to buy this product for a healthier body. Then, we will be happy. Many of the uneducated fall for that nonsense (you know, if you brake it apart nonsense means just that doesn’t it? Not sense, but rather non cents. It iain’t worth a penny is it?) The wise know to go to their Bible, the best GPS in the world to guide them to happiness. There are shelves full of books about how to invest in this method to get rich (the ones who get rich are the people who write the books from the people stupid enough to buy their rubbish). The Christians know that true richness is in a relationship with Jesus. The Bible guides us how to accomplish that.
There are TV shows about beautiful people and how happy they are. Then comes out a story about how they are some of the most miserable people on the planet. Christians know that true beauty lies in the heart. And, the recipe for that beauty treatment lies in the Bible. Do you listen to some snake oil salesman on TV tell you how to have happy relationships? Then you find out they are getting divorced, on drugs and can’t get along with their employees? The Bible is a great place to go for information on how to be a good husband or wife, a good parent. It says how to be a good contractor and contractee (I don’t like using the words employee or employer. They mean master and slave. I prefer to say contractor and contractee. I sign contracts that way. I give you a service, you give me my wages. Sounds fair to me.). It will show you how to avoid having losers for friends which will drag you down.
Hey, you know what? I guess the Bible has all the answers doesn’t it?
Now instead of waiting for a disaster to happen and then go to the guide book, it is better to spend time each day reading it and digesting its timeless wisdom into the very core of your heart. Pick a quiet time and place where there will be no interruptions. Maybe turn on some soft instrumental music to help you relax. Then, dig in.
A knowledge of the Bible is essential to a rich and meaningful life.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rohi (The Lord is our Sheepard) for blessing us with the greatest guidebook there ever was is or will be. Help to chose the best time a place to read this book of wisdom and bless me with understanding the magnificent wisdom within its cherished pages. I ask this in the name of the greatest teacher, Jesus Christ. Amen
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
